Great service, best margaritas we've ever had and perfect food! Sergio was our server and was the best. Somehow he knew it was my birthday.

My families and I go to local mexican food spot! I've loved every meal I got here! The waiters are really kind and thorough with taking your order. This last order I felt like the enchilada sauce lacked a bit of its typical deliciousness. It tasted very tomato filled without as much flavor but still really goods also the salsa was a little disappointing as it didn't have much seasoning or flavor as well just very heavy tomato taste. Overall the food is delicious and I know we all have some down days so I'll still be back it just wasn't as good as usual. I love the decor and bright colors inside, their booths are actually comfortable with sufficient cushion. Great place for a nice family or date night dinner. read more

My partner and I decided to check this place out after craving Mexican food one night. We have our usual go-to's but wanted to try somewhere new that was close by. Fiesta Mexicana had a decent first impression. The service was excellent. Our server was extremely prompt and the food came out very quickly. Whenever we asked for something he would come back almost immediately with whatever it was we needed. The food is where I'm kind of torn. We started off really strong with the Mexican pizza - it was extremely tasty. For mains my partner got the Seafood Chimichanga, and I got the Fiesta Combo plate with 3 items. My partner enjoyed his dish overall but said the seafood sauce was a tad sweeter than he was expecting. Also the side salad it came with was on the same plate as the rest of the food, so it was very warm. I also liked my dish overall, but my chile relleno was not cooked enough. The breading was soggy and the whole thing tasted sort of funky. It ended up being the only thing I didn't eat on my plate however. Despite some of the food being a miss for me, I really liked the atmosphere and service at Fiesta Mexicana. There were multiple menu options that caught our eye and I'm sure we'll be back again soon. read more

My friend's experience: BEWARE! Always check your transactions once they clear the bank especially when there is a place to put a tip. We had went out to dinner at Fiesta Mexican Restaurant in Avondale ( Dysart and McDowell). It just so happens my meal was not good and very salty and I ended up getting my meal removed from the check. No drinks ordered so this left one meal just under $20 and the ambience was ok. Two days later I open up my banking app and see our Restaurant transaction for $67.71!!! WTF!! Turns out the manager tells me that my husband tipped the waitress $40 .... No he didn't.... More like are you f**king kidding me! Long story short I got my $40 back ... I hate when people try to take advantage of others ... I told him it was disgusting and theft and it was stealing and all he did was stand behind his employees. He should hold them responsible... Was he the one responsible? DONT TRUST FIESTA MEXICAN RESTAURANT -SOMEONE IS A THIEF!! How do you sleep at night stealing like that? WATCH YOUR TRANSACTIONS!!! read more

The service at this place is very bad. I decided to stop in here for lunch because I was in the area and I hadn't been in here for a number of years. It's not busy at all inside and yet it took 5 to 10 minutes for someone come to the front to seat the six or eight people that had begun to line up at the front entrance. Once I sat down, it took another five minutes for a server to come by and give me a glass of water and some chips and salsa. According to the available Wi-Fi networks, they have a guest Wi-Fi network but yet when I asked for the password, they said it's not available to the public. I think this will probably be the last time. I try to come by here around lunchtime and sit and do some work. Two additional things I forgot to mention, one is hot in here, as they don't seem to have the air conditioner, turned down very much. And two I was given chips and salsa, but no napkins or silverware than which to wipe my hands with after eating them! read more

I was excited to get a margarita i kept reading reviews about.. and no one was there to great us or seat us for a good 10min. We had to ask for waters and plates for our chips to share.. then they disappeared. Luckily we ordered an appetizer. No one came back to ask us what kind of drinks we want or if we were ready to order. We had to leave. I understand if they were short staffed but at least let us know so we can understand. read more

How absolutely disappointed am I? I have been going to Mexicana almost weekly since I moved around the corner from it a couple of years ago. Today I went and asked for MILD salsa and was told it was discontinued! How do you discontinue MILD salsa!?!? Everyone doesn't have a cast iron tongue, throat or stomach! I LOVE Mexican and this is my favorite place in the Valley, but the fact that you are disregarding customers that can't tolerate that hot ass lava you serve as salsa is DISAPPOINTING!!! I want to be able to enjoy my salsa without needing a medical intervention! Is that too much to ask?!?! Discontinued?!? Tell me it has to be made to order or even there will be an up charge, but discontinued!!! Unacceptable! Such a great local restaurant! Vibrant decorations and warm atmosphere. Went on a weekday in the evening and had fast, friendly service. Highly recommend the margarita, best value on the menu and a variety of flavors to choose from. Food was very tasty with biggish portions; however, entrees are still expensive. Ugh, wanted to love this place. Chips & Salsa were amazing! Ordered a combo plate that included a chimichanga, burrito and chili relleno. We requested ground beef in both the chimichanga & burrito, unfortunately they sent the burrito out with chicken. They replaced the burrito with a new one made with ground beef that was cold inside and the plate was lava hot. Makes no sense. All the items were cold and if you tipped the plate, water ran out of them. The server was supper nice, but I would still give her 1 star since not once during the meal did she stop over and asked if we needed anything or how the food was. The place was 90% empty so no excuse for poor service. Oh well, definitely wouldn't recommend. read more

We were in the mood for authentic Mexican food and Fiesta Mexicana came highly recommended by a friend. I can see why. The food was really delicious and fresh. The enchiladas had tom of flavor without being salty. The rice and beans were absolutely perfect. It was very busy Tuesday lunch crowd and it was bit noisy inside but quieted down when two big parties left. The service was fast when we were able to get a table. Very satisfying meal overall. This place use to be yummy! My friend and I enjoyed this place in the past and have tried to return multiple times to see if they were just having a bad day. Sadly, our last visit on Friday was even a greater disappointment. We share the Mexican pizza, just look at the difference in my photos....they were once delicious and now it s an insult....a flour tortilla sprinkled with a few beans and toppings. They raise the price but lower the quality and quality. I personally would not return and would not recommend :-( read more
