This place was recommended by a friend from work. The taste of the food was not good at all. However, I did like the chips. The salsa they give you has a hint of spaghetti sauce to me. I got a ground beef taco and ground beef enchilada with rice and beans. None of the food had any real flavor. The beans were runny. The ground beef was some weird, indescribable texture. Taco? No flavor. The enchilada didn't have much sauce and had a made-from-freezer taste with no flavor. The rice looked almost like white rice. The water tasted like spring water (yuck!). I gave it two stars because I was hungry and ate about 80% of the food. I can't remember my server's name but she was a semi-older female. She was a little impolite in a way that she may have been having a bad day. She was good though. The decor of the place was very festive and colorful. I will not go back. THEY NEED GORDON RAMSAY TO SAVE THIS PLACE!! I usually go to the Manuel's down the street. Now their food? Always bomb! read more

We stopped in fiesta Mexicana for an early lunch. We were seated immediately and our server came right over. I ordered a blackberry margarita and it was so tasty! Very fresh and not overly sweet. We got the chicken taquitos as an appetizer. It was huge! Plenty to share and very cheesy. A little too greasy for me, but great flavor. We both ordered combo platters with flautas, chalupa and a chimichanga. Deep fried goodness! (Probably too much fried food but you only live once!) everything was great. Crispy and hot. This is a great family restaurant, not overly fancy, traditional Mexican decor. Great service and tasty food! I'll be back. read more

We ordered a Molcajete. Waited almost 40 minutes for our food. The stone dish and the meat were both cold. We let our waitress know. She said it had to be remade so there would be a little wait. After about 5 minutes the same exact dish was brought out and was still cold. The manager came over after we informed our waitress that nothing had changed. Instead of offering to make it right or even acknowledge that it was still cold, he said, "what is wrong with it now? I remade it myself by adding more hot salsa." He was very confrontational, so we dismissed him and told him not to worry about it. I would have been ok with everything with a simple acknowledgment and apology. I might add that we sat at the bar for a few drinks prior to our dinner and had a good experience. We spent over $200 (drinks and dinner) for everything which was over priced for the quality and treatment that we got. I used to really enjoy this restaurant, now we will never return. read more

The environment is fiesta! Service is friendly and efficient. Chips were not fresh , unsure if they buy them or make them, tasted like from a package. Salsa was good. Nothing fantastic but good. Their Agua Chile is delicious. Spicy but delicious if you like spice. Their micheladas are good but overpriced. It wasn't the best michelada I've had but it was good. However for almost 17$ I wonder if they forget it's beer. I would probably visit again but not a first choice. read more

I've been coming here for several years. Sadly it's gone downhill. They changed the menu, took the best stuff off, and raised their prices. Plus now they charge for even an extra bowl of salsa to go with the chips. Or a second bowl of chips. Came on a slow Monday afternoon, waited an hour for food. Half our group had hot food, half was just kinda warm on a hot plate. Waiter only came close to take orders or deliver food. It was disappointing at best. YUM!!! I LOVE good Mexican food, and this place is one of the best I've found in the valley. Friendly staff, great meals, yummy drinks and to die for deserts! I ordered the shredded beef enchiladas and Unf....So damn good! The meat was clearly seasoned and stewed to perfection before it was even rolled into the enchiladas. Just how mi madre y abuela makes them!!! The rice is seasoned nicely and the refried beans were great! Comes with fresh guac and homemade sour cream! They also have wonderful vegetarian options too, not just your run of the mill taco salad. The menu is huge! Their margaritas are great as well! So tasty and strong! Start of by saying my family and I were usuals here! Both dine in and to-go but after my experience today I do not think I will ever be ordering to go. Ordered a molcajete for 2 for pick up. When we received our bag I asked if I could get extra chips for the salsa since the bag was less than halfway filled... we've ordered before and have gotten way more chips and even for dine in chips and salsa are unlimited.... The hostess gave me the dirtiest look and said "that will be $4 for extra chips" I showed her the bag and said this is not how much we usually get she proceeded to want to charge me so I said never mind and walked away. Once home the molcajete itself was disappointing, it was extremely watery like leaking from the sides watery. There was no cheese like it usually has (our favorite part) barely any chorizo and to top it off the pork wasn't even sliced a whole piece of pork with the rest of the protein cut (like it usually is). Absolutely the best authentic Mexican restaurant in Arizona. Ambiance is excellent food is excellent prices are excellent and takeout is perfect. Our go to restaurant live in Buckeye and 100% worth the trip every time. Takeout with phone number gets you discounts on you next pickup. Great staff and owners. If you go anywhere else you picked the wrong restaurant. The chefs are the best around. The portions are large enough to give you extra meals on takeout. Sit down is very comfortable and nicely decorated. We all love their food and this is the only Mexican place we go since we moved to Arizona from New York New Jersey area. I've been here before, and the food was good bit its been a while since then, I went in today for dinner and had a very disappointing meal! I ordered the Carnitas plate and served a very small portion of meat, and more than half was onions and peppers... they should have called the meal onions with carnitas on the side as a garish! Haha! When I asked the manager if this was the usual portion of protein, she replied that it's always that much. Well,.. they better change the photo on the menu cause it was definitely different than what was on my plate! Facts are that this place has served a larger portion cause used to go a couple times a month when we lived closer. Don't like a manager without integrity!!! My son ordered carne asada plate $18. The dish was served with 3 oz of meat, 1/3 of rice, but plenty of beans. My son and I left hungry. Never coming back. Service was bad overall. No staff to be seen around the restaurant. Saw my waiter two times when he brought out waters and food. I went looking for someone to charge me for the overpriced "kids" meals. read more

While the outside is understated, once inside you are greeted with bright vibrant traditional colors. Food was very good; and now I know why this restaurant is rated top in Avondale on a travel website. The tamale was one of the best I've tasted, also recommend the deep fried chile relleno, unexpectedly delicious. Great family restaurant and for a birthday dinner.
