World's greatest Micheladas! I only come here to have one. I like to say "I'll take a micheleada with a plate of food on the side . The bartenders mix them up from scratch and serve them in a tall frosted mug. Came in just for a quick lunch and was promptly greeted and seated with a smile. I was dining alone today, and needed somewhere to go just to relax a bit. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise with great seating to watch television, sit at the bar or if you had a large party-- they had long dining room tables to accommodate. Quickly the waiter came out with a smile with chips and two salsas- chili verde and a smoky salsa. Both were pretty mild and they had plenty of hot sauce to spice things up to your liking if needed. Besides street tacos, I love Baja fish tacos only if they do not batter it. I want to taste the fish! Ordered two all carte fish tacos and asked the waiter if they grill them! Yes! My food arrived promptly and the fish tacos had generous amounts of fish on each taco. I love places that do not skimp. It tells me they love their customers. The tacos were absolutely fantastic. I've lived down the street from them for a few years and never ate there. When the Coronavirus hit they offered curbside pickup and had an amazing deal of 10 tacos, plus a bunch of chips for $10! So I ordered 10 chicken and 10 pork ($20) and my family enjoyed them very much and we even had leftovers. I grew up in Santa Ana, Ca. and I can be picky about my Mexican food, but these guys are legit!!! read more

Giving this location one star only because I can't give it less. I came here with my family for dinner and had to leave without ever getting our orders. The place was not very busy we arrived. We were seated and basically ignored after that. We did ask if we could order our drinks after about 20-25 min of waiting, two soft drinks 2 kids drinks and a beer. When the waitress brought the drinks out she slammed them on the table and walked off. We did not receive the beer. While we were waiting for food our waitress seated another group behind us and immediately got their orders and drinks including beverages from the bar. At this point it had been about 45 min and we were fed up and decided to leave. The food may be ok but I will never know as I will never come to this establishment again due this poor service from a snotty little waitress. read more

Amazing little joint! The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was very attentive, never had to ask for a Single thing. The carnitas are to die for!!! My daughter and I both had the carnitas and we couldn't get enough! My mom had the shredded beef which was amazing as well. The only thing​ is they need the clean it up a bit. Adding on to my previous review. We hadn't eaten inside for awhile with the pandemic and all. We were immediately seated and placed our order shortly after. The food arrived quickly and was delicious as always, but I have one minor complaint. I (we) would love it if the food was served hotter. Temperature wise, not spiciness. It really needs to be at least 20 degrees warmer than it is. I can always let food cool down, but if it's served luke warm then it loses something. Maybe they're afraid of someone burning themselves and suing??? That's the negative. Fix the heat issue and and it's up to four stars. Oh, and the heat issue has been there on several previous visits so it's not something recent. read more

I had to make this account to talk about my experience. I have never posted on Yelp but I do want to warn people to not come to this restaurant! They are not taking no covid restrictions at all. They have their clients sitting right next to each other. I am aware that people are getting vaccinated but they should still take responsibility and keep us 6 feet apart since we do remove our masks when seated. When coming in the staff asked me to put my mask on, and one of them didn't even have it on! read more

We have been a few times when we first relocated to Reno. (We live in the N. Valley area). The service was a bit "askew", but improved the more we went. It was also the tail end of COVID so I understand. My boyfriend LOVES the Shrimp Fajitas. I LOVE the cocktails too. So far, my fav entre' is the Carne Asada Tacos. I was disappointed with the "Cheese Enchilada" , but recognize that mexi will be different here compared to the SW Region. We look forward to going again soon. read more

The North McCarran, Reno location is just a couple of minutes from our home so we eat here a lot. The food is always very good but the main reason we like Fiesta Mexicana is because the wait staff is so great! The restaurant is always spotlessly clean and they have recently expanded, adding a large room that can be used for banquets/parties. It is our go-to place. read more

No Fiesta at La Fiesta :-( I checked out this Mexican food spot with that little beat in my heart that MAYBE I'd found that to-die-for Mexican joint that I could leave 5 stars, and tell EVERYONE how wonderful it is..... once again - NO. Wish I could give less stars! Usually decent service and friendly service, idk what the hell was going on but tonight was NOT that night. Got seated promptly, then needed a minute to look at the menus, not 20-30 minutes for anyone to even check up on us. Then we finally give our order to another server,mind you none of them have even given their name, so we'll call her server #2. Then the table that sat down 15-20 minutes AFTER us got their food and asked how they were doing several times. Then finally about 30 minutes later server #3 FINALLY gave us our food. Over an hour for 4 tacos and some beans and rice!? When you're slow AF, literally had more employees then sat tables. Then when we were paying our bill, the guy asks how everything was, I replied, "everything was great! Once we finally, eventually got it!" He said, "I'm sorry," in the most mundane, don't give AF attitude ever. Even when I said we will NEVER come back, which I wouldn't say we're regulars, but we come fairly often, he just said, ", sorry, in the same, lame, I don't give AF attitude. Good luck staying open, however that's not how the tables surrounding us got treated so... ‍... we won't be back though, I work in the industry, have been for over a decade, and I know what it should be like when someone is PAYING you to serve them. Atmosphere - Majority of the old restaurant remains. They brighten up the place and changed the theme. Wow the place looks great now. Food Appetizer - The standard free chips with two different salsas, a green and red. The red salsa had a nice heat that slowly built up and bit back. Main Course - I ordered the Fiesta Combo, shocking it was the combination plate. I had the enchilada with shredded beef. The taco came stuff with two small shells. I had enough to make two tacos. I chose the chile relleno or the tamale. For me the best part was the chile relleno, nice and large. It was smothered in red sauce. The plate was generously topped with queso blanco you find in many Mexican restaurants. Dessert - Did not order any, I was stuffed after that combo plate. Decided to order out on Tuesday evening, 12/22, because I was babysitting my 3 yr old grandson and he loves, loves cheese quesadillas. I have eaten here occasionally over the past 10 years because I live and work nearby and the search engine said they offer curbside. When they called to say my order was ready, I requested curbside and was hung up on. Standing in a line of customers with my grandson I again asked about curbside on their website (wrong choice of words), the employee at the counter said they do not have a website and do not offer curbside and quickly walked off. Finally had a customer in line agree they saw the same info on a search engine. There is no reason to treat anyone with such disrespect. Just a simple explanation would have made me happy. Drop and run! Met my friend for dinner and I had been there before we only live around the corner and we would eat there more often if we were more consistent. The food is pretty good and the carnitas are nice and crispy, my child tells me the Guac is good, and my friend didn't complain about the burrito. I'd give it a better review but the servers once you get your food you won't see them again, not for water or napkins or more tortillas or anything. I love this place for its convenience and keep coming back because the food is pretty good and the service is EXCELLENT. It doesn't matter if I come in on a middle of the week slow night or a packed weekend night: they are fast, friendly, and on it! They started in a smaller location in the same shopping center, and after creating a nice customer base for themselves, and expanded into the larger end unit where they are now. My favorite is the carnitas plate. And it must be a favorite amongst others because they can dish it out in 5 minutes flat! The margaritas could be a bit heavier on the pour, but not a major complaint. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's just a bit overpriced compared to other Mexican food places. But it does save the drive into town, so that makes it worth it if I'm already home and get the hankering for Mexican. read more

I used to really like this place, and I thought the food was good, and more authentic that other places in town, and it's the closest place to our house, so it was convenient, and I love Mexican food, so I looked forward to going there. I usually got the taco, enchilada, and dhile rellano plate, which was too much for me to eat, so hurrah, left overs! The last few times we've gone, the food seems to have gone downhill, and service was absolutely horrible. I have to agree with other reviews, that the servers weren't very interested in non-Hispanic clientele, spoke very little English, and basically delivered the food, and disappeared, with no refills, checking if food was ok, or anything else. I got a chimichanga, which was enough for two meals, but was delivered on a cold plate, and was lukewarm. My GF got a combination plate, and said it was OK, but also on a cold plate, so the food got cold right away. I never got refills on my water, and had to flag the waitress down, which always ticks me off, why does everyone get coffee refills, and never water refills? The food was OK, but not as good as it has been on prior visits, and nothing that I would go back for, I have found much better food at other restaurants, and extremely better service. So this is my 3rd trip here, 2nd check in forgot last time. Never impressed by the menu as served. A lot of seafood on the menu everything sampled is watery and frozen tasting. Avoid the seafood. Server "HM" took 5 minutes to find my table after I was first sat and obscenely long times between status visits. Me and my dishes of partly finished meals became fast friends. Had the stringiest carne asada in the Sierras. Grass fed beef seems to be a foreign concept. Why buy quality beef when you can charge the same price and use cheap Chinese flank stank instead. I went here with a couple of friend's. They had shrimp fajitas and a shrimp soup while I had the pork carnitas with green sauce and corn tortillas. The carnitas was good, but not great. The service was good, especially for a busy Friday night and we all enjoyed our food. I will be back! read more

Micheladas and fish tacos are my favorite here unfortunately there restaurant hours are totally messed up! I live in Lemmon valley and drove out to sparks I saw online that they closed later than the one on north town and Lemmon valley. I show up and a lady rudely says we're closed. I let her know about the restaurant hours online and she's says she doesn't know about that and that it's just messed up. Today I go to the one in Lemmon valley which says they close at 8:45 I get there around 8:05 and the gentleman says I'm sorry were closed.!! What an inconvenience. Sucks! read more

My husband called and spoke to the owner about renting out their party room in Stead for 25 people, with a definite possibility of up to at least 35 pending invitation RSVP's. He was told the minimum was 30 people for the room - which was sincerely odd to me because days prior to his call, I visited the restaurant and asked the waitress to show me around. She had stated they has just had a graduation party of 20 weeks before. He was then told, if we got 30 people, which needed to be the minimum" (even though they had a group of 20 weeks before) we would be restricted to only ONE entrée choice for food, with no room for discussion on variety or what the paying customer would like. Obviously this establishment has never heard of such things like allergies, religious restrictions, vegetarianism, etc - let alone the desire for variety. The idea that as a paying customer, we can't choose our own food that we are paying for is unheard of. We would have been willing to pay extra if needed for a variety of choices instead of one single option, but that comment went unheard by the owner. They are willing to turn away paying customers willing to not only purchase food but alcohol as well. That idea alone tells you the type of establishment they are.
