Exorbitant price for a terrible meal. The website boasted of lots of "colorful vegetables"such as jicama, avocado, fresh greens, etc. I requested black beans, corn tortillas, lots of vegetables, and salsa. The server said, "we don't have vegetables." I ended up with a small handful of iceberg lettuce and chopped tomatoes. The salsa didn't arrive until my meal was almost over despite a second plea for it. My wife had "a chicken tamale with mole." It was bland and oily and unlike any tamale (we lived in Mexico and now in Tucson) the chicken was stringy and tough. She got no vegetables except for a stem of cilantro with 3 leaves. The staff was nice but spoke little English. We had to search for menus. The bill was $64. I hope they can fix these issues. read more

It might be good enough in other cities, but in Santa Fe, where there's so much choice, this isn't a restaurant I'd go back to again. They have a lot of mole, and I love mole, and the sauce itself was good. But the chicken enchilada filling was just dry shredded chicken. There was very little rice. And it was all just OK. A little off the beaten path - not any of our usual traveled routes in Santa Fe. So why not? The patio dining area was full, so we opted for inside. Inside is open and airy. Maybe 10 tables, patio dining look line the favorite. Good size menu with lots of vegan options(if you're so inclined). The chili rellano de Veracruz looked good to me while the better half chose the Mole De Oaxaca Enchiladas. We declined the chips & salsa. At $10 it was a little steep. Our food was delicious. The rellanos were good sized, loaded with shredded chicken and sweet & spicy. The stuffing included raisins to give it the sweet taste. The mole enchiladas had a similar sweet/spicy flavor equally well stuffed. Black beans sprinkled with cojita cheese was a nice change and had nice flavor. Overall a good lunch, flavorful and just the right size portion for us. We'll be back for sure - there are some different mole to try. read more

Sampling the mole sauces was so much fun and we each liked them in different order. I highly recommend giving them a try. The mushroom quesadilla was spectacular, as was the queso fundido, which we ordered without chorizo since we are vegetarian. They were so very good- almost perfection! My sister had the vegan enchiladas, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Almost everything on their menu can be made vegan, which is super nice for her. Juan was a great waiter and was a real cutie. I also tried the Tamarindo margarita, I thought it was going to be very sweet but to my surprise it has a very delicate citrus taste, I really liked it. I order pibil tacos and my husband a tlayuda, the mini tortillas where they served they were completely cover with grease, I couldn't eat the last one I felt the grease in my mouth on every bite. The Tlayuda didn't have the Oaxacan style cheese called quesillo and instead of the salsa they put slices of jalapeños that you put on nachos, service was good but food it's a fraud. read more

My wife & I visited for lunch and sat on their beautiful patio in "downtown" Santa Fe. All vegan-friendly options are clearly marked on the menu, which makes ordering very reassuring. My wife mix-and-matched 3 different vegan tacos ($13), and I got the Mole Oaxaca platter ($16). We were both blown away by each of our dishes, especially my mole -- never had such a chocolate-rich mole sauce -- truly decadent. Super friendly and helpful service rounds it out. The rice was tasty as well, but didn't stand a chance against the mole and beans! The Mole Rosada was very delicious as well! It is different than your more traditional mole. This dish also come with those amazing black beans and rice. The flavor of the mole sauce was more subtle, less spicy (not that the Mole de Oaxaca was too spicy for us, but maybe for others)...it's difficult to describe really. Kind of sweet, yet savory, and makes you feel all warm like a good dish of 'comfort food'. He got the tamarind margarita - a little too tart for me, but he raved about it. I got the pomegranate Paloma. Yes Yes Yes . If I could buy a pitcher to go, I would have! Also, since it was snowing a little, I decided to grab a Mexican hot chili ate to go. The down side is the portions are very small, especially given the price. My wife and I got enchiladas; there were three to a serving but each one was maybe four inches long. Came with a dab of beans and half a cup of rice. Everything else was super overpriced too: a bottle of beer was $9; chips and salsa -- normally complementary -- was $10. For prices like that you'd think the service would be exceptional, but the waiter never refilled our water, and came over with the check the moment we took our last bite of food. We came here by a recommendation from a friend who said they went back multiple times on their trip to Santa Fe, and it did not disappoint! I ordered a vegetarian burrito and the sauce was magical. My friend had the cream cheese enchiladas, which looked decadent too. We ordered dessert too because we just wanted to try it, and it did not disappoint! The service was relatively fast, it was clear they were extremely busy and trying to get food out as fast as possible. It wasn't a huge deal though.
