We decided to try this restaurant, even though we were not previously familiar with it, and overall, it turned out to be an excellent choice. The ambiance was very appealing--stylish, inviting, and a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the evening. The service was outstanding, and the staff was attentive, friendly, and detail-oriented throughout the experience. The menu offered a wide variety of options, making it difficult to choose. The food was delicious. The Fifi's ceviche was beautifully presented and fresh, with excellent flavor. The lobster ravioli was rich and flavorful, with a pronounced lobster taste. The Chilean sea bass was exceptional--perfectly cooked, tender and smooth on the inside with a well-cooked exterior. It was easily one of the best fish dishes I have had. The Basque cheesecake, while good, was more standard and less memorable compared to the rest of the meal. The side dishes accompanying the main courses were somewhat underwhelming and did not match the quality of the entrees. Additionally, the wine by the glass could be served more generously. Pricing was reasonable overall, especially considering the quality of the main dishes. The bill was slightly misleading, as an 18% service charge was already included, and there was still an option to add a tip, as if it were not already included. Without careful attention, this could easily result in double tipping. This could be improved for better transparency. Overall, despite these minor drawbacks, the experience was very positive. Phenomenal!!! We were in town for just a night and had no plans but to have no plans. My husband wanted crab so we walked the strip and passed Fifi's twice and then doubled back. We were welcomed at the front entrance and shown the fresh seafood for purchase. My husband got some jumbo stone crab claws along with some beautifully HUGE prawns (they looked more like lobster) I myself had ceviche. We did not eat there which I wish we would have. We had dinner here tonight. We had the Chilean bass with vegetables and the salmon grilled. Sashimi for an appetizer and passion fruit mouse for desert. We were definitely delighted with the gentleness of flavors that were delicately blended so you tasted the food and still were delighted with the way the flavors blended together. There was an extensive fresh seafood selection to choose from and well as wine list. We shared Coconut shrimp with a house made dipping sauce which was very good. My husband had the Seafood Paella for One. It was loaded with shrimp, scallops, calamari, muscles and two lobster tails served over seasoned rice, it was an excellent choice. My husband and I are shopping for a restaurant to host our son's rehearsal dinner the night before his wedding. We are looking on Miami Beach so that it can be close to the wedding venue (lots of guests will be from out of town and staying at nearby hotels). After visiting more than a half a dozen places, we have a top candidate. Fifi's is a mom and pop eatery with fresh everything. Of course, seafood is its marquee item. The place is relatively small; it fits about 50 inside plus sidewalk seating. The decor is simple and clean, but the food is what stands out. We got a good taste of the food served here. The fish ceviche is the best we have ever had (and we eat ceviche often and have had it in Spain). The fish was tender, nicely seasoned, and the lime sauce was pucker-up sour, just the way we like it. Our adult daughter, who joined us for dinner, usually does not like ceviche but loved this one. The tuna taco was a recommendation that turned out to be a big hit, especially because the ponzu, sweet chili, cilantro sauce was the perfect pairing for the melt-in-your-mouth tuna. (The restaurant features a lot of items with an Asian-fusion flair.) The arugula salad was tasty, with its praline pecans and balsamic dressing. But we preferred the Caesar salad with its homemade dressing and bits of mango. The lobster bisque was good with lots of lobster floating in the cup. But because of my milk allergy, I could only have a few sips. The seafood soup featured lobster, squid, and not sure what else because the broth was so delicious I quickly drained the bowl. Our main entree, seafood paella (with lobster, shrimp, mussels, calamari, fish, and peppers) reminded us of the one we had in Spain. For dessert, we chose to try the passion fruit mousse and the flan. The latter is very rich and very sweet and very good. My husband and I preferred the mousse because we adore the tart passion fruit. Prices here, for the quality of food and the superb service you get (thanks Amado for a great experience!), are well worth it. We can't wait to go back and try more on the menu, especially the fresh catch of the day and that marvelous-looking chocolate volcano dessert that we eyed on the table across from us. read more

Fifi's-4.0 stars You never know where one might find a "hidden gem." In this case, I was headed up to dine at Fifi's seafood. As I purposely keep my self in the dark when it comes to places I am not familiar with in order to give an unfettered food review, I didn't know what to expect when I got there, but the dingy little area it was located did not inspire a feeling of optimism on my part, nor that of my discerning taste buds. Especially, being next to an IHOP. I was taken aback upon entering as the interior is not only charming but clean, brightly lit and exuded a sense of Miami Art Deco. It was done with decorum and came off, as quite suave. The staff was very attentive and friendly despite some previous reviews. Vast amount of tables indoors and a few outdoors (for those COVID-19 obsessed) Taking a seat and perusing the menu handed to me, my interest was peaked even further upon seeing the selections. Traditional Seafood! With an extensive menu of crabs, clams, lobsters, shrimp, mussels, etc. It certainly caused my mouth to begin to water just a tad. Making up my mind, I placed my menu down and from across the room a server moved like lightning and lasered in on me to take my order. I was duly impressed by her awareness. She was nice, personable, knowledgeable. We placed our order and waited not so patiently. At this point I was extremely hungry, I dove right into the scallops with truffle Sauce. Wow. Was this delicious! We also had the tuna tartare which was even better. Fresh, tasty, with freshly prepared chips ( although, I had to ask for new chips since the 1st one seemed old and hard not crunchy) My wife experienced the fruti di mare which was amazing. I had the chef's selection of PRAWNS in butter sauce with rice and black beans The tail was sweet, succulent, steamed correctly and tasted very fresh. The moment came. Turning my attention toward the dessert, I prepared myself for the last taste test of the night. We had the freshly home made lava cake with ice cream which my son devoured it in seconds (which in kids language was a 200/10). Sadly, I did not experience it only through the eyes and facial expression of my son which was worth it. I did try their own Leche flan which was good albeit not the best I have ever had. Upon arrival to this restaurant , we had high hopes given the packed indoor and outdoor seating ...but were less than impressed with the food . Firstly they don't serve cocktails ,only wine and beer. They also do a strange display of their specials tableside which just seems tacky. We ordered a lot of food starting with the tuna ceviche, fried calamari, and 2 dozen oysters. The tuna ceviche was the best part, it was fresh and delicious. The fried calamari was bland , and the oysters were not even completely shucked. They also didn't have any mignonette sauce or vinegar which I thought was pretty standard for an order of oysters. For food we had the NY strip, linguini with shrimp and garlic, and the gorgonzola and pear ravioli. The gorgonzola ravioli was so sweet it was inedible, not to mention it did not compliment the filet its served with at all. I don't know if its because we're use to NY dining , but all of the entrees were sub par. This place is way WAY overpriced for the quality of the food, and I would not return for another visit . read more
