    Whole Fried Snapper

This is a great spot to hit if you're in North Miami Beach. The food is excellent, it's rarely too busy and the staff is welcoming. I've tried several items on the menu and have yet to have a bad experience but the whole fried snapper paired with sweet plantains and rice & beans is my favorite.

    Lack of Soy sauce

Love this place been going here for years, but this is the second time I've gotten a fraction of a ramekin of soy sauce. I ordered 2 rolls this is all the sauce that comes with it? Come on ‍‍‍

What a great dining experience. Friendly attentive wait staff and a beautiful restaurant. All of the food was excellent. We will definitely return on our next visit to Miami

The service was great. Our server explained all of the specials and the menu. The red sangria was also very good. The restaurant is pretty cozy with seating indoors and out doors. The seafood paella for 1 was really good and had good flavors. The seafood was fresh and the portions were big.

This is a great place for fresh seafood cooked the right way! Located in North Beach on Collins Ave. I've been coming here for years especially for fresh hog snapper. This time I had a the fresh catch thai miso crudo which is delicious. For entree I had the mixed seafood grill which is outstanding. Their homemade flan was the perfect dessert. Service is professional and attentive.

Wanted seafood so Fifi was the place... Was seated right away first off the service here was awesome my waitress explained everything and made sure everything was ok the whole time the ambiance is nice corner seating so I seen everything drinks was good and the Chilean Seabass was good the pasta was great and they had the biggest shrimp I ever had 1 of my favorite places hands down next time I'm in Miami I'm definitely coming back here...

We had dinner here tonight. We had the Chilean bass with vegetables and the salmon grilled. Sashimi for an appetizer and passion fruit mouse for desert. We were definitely delighted with the gentleness of flavors that were delicately blended so you tasted the food and still were delighted with the way the flavors blended together. Every bite delighted the senses. We enjoyed the food very much and would highly recommend this restaurant and this chef's amazing knowledge of both fish and the spices he used to complement the food. The service was attentive but very comfortable and did not rush us. We would highly recommend this place.

Phenomenal seafood we've ever tried, it's the best seafood place we ever had, from tuna ceviche, grilled squid, prawns, and whole fried red snapper with plantain and yellow rice spectacular. Great service staffs are very friendly and provide great service. Great ambiance, we definitely recommend Fifi's to friends and family.

My husband and I are shopping for a restaurant to host our son's rehearsal dinner the night before his wedding. We are looking on Miami Beach so that it can be close to the wedding venue (lots of guests will be from out of town and staying at nearby hotels). After visiting more than a half a dozen places, we have a top candidate. Fifi's is a mom and pop eatery with fresh everything. Of course, seafood is its marquee item. The place is relatively small; it fits about 50 inside plus sidewalk seating. The decor is simple and clean, but the food is what stands out. We got a good taste of the food served here. The fish ceviche is the best we have ever had (and we eat ceviche often and have had it in Spain). The fish was tender, nicely seasoned, and the lime sauce was pucker-up sour, just the way we like it. Our adult daughter, who joined us for dinner, usually does not like ceviche but loved this one. The tuna taco was a recommendation that turned out to be a big hit, especially because the ponzu, sweet chili, cilantro sauce was the perfect pairing for the melt-in-your-mouth tuna. (The restaurant features a lot of items with an Asian-fusion flair.) The arugula salad was tasty, with its praline pecans and balsamic dressing. But we preferred the Caesar salad with its homemade dressing and bits of mango. The lobster bisque was good with lots of lobster floating in the cup. But because of my milk allergy, I could only have a few sips. The seafood soup featured lobster, squid, and not sure what else because the broth was so delicious I quickly drained the bowl. Our main entree, seafood paella (with lobster, shrimp, mussels, calamari, fish, and peppers) reminded us of the one we had in Spain. For dessert, we chose to try the passion fruit mousse and the flan. The latter is very rich and very sweet and very good. My husband and I preferred the mousse because we adore the tart passion fruit. Prices here, for the quality of food and the superb service you get (thanks Amado for a great experience!), are well worth it. We can't wait to go back and try more on the menu, especially the fresh catch of the day and that marvelous-looking chocolate volcano dessert that we eyed on the table across from us.

Ceviche is the star, with big succulent pieces of fish, choclo (giant corn), sweet potato, and avocado soaking up delightful leche de tigre (ceviche juice). We also ordered grilled octopus with potatoes, causa (stuffed yellow potato) with tuna salad, and fried tostones (plantain). The octopus was sizzling and was seasoned to perfection. The causa was a work of art. And the fresh tostones were thick and savory, the perfect mix of soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. We shared everything we ordered. The restaurant is a hole in the wall, casual with cute and colorful decor like llamas, flowers and neon lights, with indoor and outdoor seating. It's equally equipped for a date night or just getting some good food straight off of the beach. Can't believe how long we've passed by and seen it without realizing the quality feast awaiting us inside. Service was efficient, each dish arriving fresh and speedy to our table as soon as it was made. Chef Julio was friendly with us and asked how we enjoyed everything, especially the leche de tigre. When food is cooked with heart and soul, the difference is palatable. Prices aren't cheap but not expensive either and are very reasonable for what you get. 15% gratuity was added automatically. The menu takes some studying but the longer we read and re-read it, the more gems we found. And if someone in your party doesn't want seafood or ceviche, there are a few chicken, beef, risotto and other options.... something for everyone. Glad we finally dined here. Delightful! We will be back to dine in and maybe even to pick up some ceviche to-go to bring with us and impress at family gatherings.

Choosing which lobster or yellowtail from the ice counter you want them to prepare, and how you want it prepared, is a fun part of the dining experience for us. Occasionally they have hog snapper or another fresh catch available. The fried lobster tail was fantastically seasoned with a little kick, and I've never had it prepared this way, chopped up into bite-sized pieces. Very filling and we could have shared one, but we still managed to devour both tails and left very full and satisfied. Each tail, including one side, was about $40 - but market price items vary based on size and weight of what's available that day. There are also plenty of less expensive options on the menu. One of my favorites is the yellowtail sandwich. And if you get there before 7:00pm you can order some oysters and lobster croquettes from the happy hour menu. Everyone on the staff was smiley, friendly and helpful. The Happī Hour menu stands out as one of the best values in the area. I had 2 Classic Mojitos, Shrimp Cocktail, Lumpia Shanghai Roll, Pinoy BBQ Skewers and Kurobuta Corn Dogs from the Happī Hour menu. From the full menu, I had Salmon Tiradito, and the Chocolate Smores Cake a La Mode for dessert. Standouts for me were the Salmon Tiradito which had a beautiful presentation. It comes plated like a work of art with gooseberry, fresno chili, annatto oil, mustard oil, sea salt, white nikirisoy aioli. Wish I had taken a photo. This is the only place I ever order corn dogs (and I ALWAYS order them here) which are made with a Japanese sausage and come with a special spicy mustard that gives it an interesting, gourmet kick. Don't go heavy on the mustard if you're sensitive to spice. Hot! I am told the Chocolate Smores Cake a La Mode is inspired by the owner's son, and it is magnificently-plated and delicious. This is not the campfire version of S'mores. This is the haute cuisine version. You cannot beat Sushi Bichi on quality of food and experience for the price, especially during the Happī Hour which runs 4-6:30pm. You can walk onto the beach after your meal, if you'd like. It's right there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Parking tip: there is a large public lot on Collins Avenue around the corner that I've always found a spot in. Short walk to Sushi Bichi.

It offered consistently…read moregood food, a welcoming atmosphere, and reasonable prices, making it an easy recommendation for friends and family. In fact, as my wife and I were walking in on our most recent visit, I was commenting that this would be a great place to bring out-of-town guests. Unfortunately, that opinion changed by the end of the evening. When the bill arrived, we learned that the corkage fee had increased from $25 to $35 without any notice. We politely explained that we were longtime customers who had always paid the longstanding $25 fee, but management was unwilling to make any accommodation or honor the previous rate. The increase itself did affect our perception. While $10 may not seem like a large amount, it represented a significant percentage jump for a neighborhood bistro, and it shifted the overall value equation for us in a noticeable way. What made it more frustrating is that a corkage fee increase feels different from a menu price adjustment. Rising food, labor, and operating costs can justify higher menu prices, but a corkage fee is simply a charge for opening and serving a bottle the customer brings in. Increasing it 40% without notice felt excessive, especially for a casual neighborhood restaurant rather than a high-end dining establishment. At $35, the corkage fee no longer feels aligned with the restaurant's positioning or value. Combined with the lack of transparency and the unwillingness to honor a long-standing rate for loyal customers, it meaningfully changed how we view the restaurant. The food was still very good, as it has been on previous visits. However, the overall experience left a sour taste. As a result, my wife and I won't be returning, and we will no longer recommend Silverlake Bistro to friends, family, or out-of-town visitors. That's a shame, because this was once one of the best reasonably priced neighborhood restaurants in the area. A relatively small change, handled differently, could have preserved our loyalty. Instead, it cost the restaurant two regular customers and future word-of-mouth recommendations.

The menu consists of well known dishes but there are no surprises - everything is cooked well and tasty but not memorable. The best dish is the Ceasar's salad which is prepared table side, using raw eggs (!) and is a must-order simply for the show. Everything seemed to order it. The crab cakes were very good - crispy crust and big chunks of crab with a spicy mayo on the side - worth it. Lumache Alla Vodka was also good, with the pasta cooked just right and a nice spicy kick to the sauce. The almonds on the European Sea Bass made the fish - toasted and slightly caramelized paired with a very good sea bass. Get it if you are in the mood. The oysters Rockefeller are simply ok but not worth reordering. The chocolate layer cake was also very good but not extraordinary and typically of any good pastry shop's version.
