Upon arrival to this restaurant , we had high hopes given the packed indoor and outdoor seating ...but were less than impressed with the food . Firstly they don't serve cocktails ,only wine and beer. They also do a strange display of their specials tableside which just seems tacky. We ordered a lot of food starting with the tuna ceviche, fried calamari, and 2 dozen oysters. The tuna ceviche was the best part, it was fresh and delicious. The fried calamari was bland , and the oysters were not even completely shucked. They also didn't have any mignonette sauce or vinegar which I thought was pretty standard for an order of oysters. For food we had the NY strip, linguini with shrimp and garlic, and the gorgonzola and pear ravioli. The gorgonzola ravioli was so sweet it was inedible, not to mention it did not compliment the filet its served with at all. I don't know if its because we're use to NY dining , but all of the entrees were sub par. This place is way WAY overpriced for the quality of the food, and I would not return for another visit . read more

Vegetables were overcooked with buttery sauce and too much salt. The sea bass unfortunately suffered from being oversalted. Didn't eat the veggies and tried to eat the sea bass. Came to eat here as I met the owner on a flight down to Miami and he assured me that this was one of the best seafood restaurants in Miami. He didn't lie! The food was amazing we tried several different dishes, we had the sea bass, lobster ravioli, lamb chops, salmon. And it was all good. There was a proposal that happened while we are there which was nice. The only reason I took a star is because they only have wine/champagne no full bar. I cannot believe that I have lived down the block from Fifi's for over 5 years and today was the first time I ate here! A friend was in from out of town, so we had a delightful Spice lunch. The restaurant is much larger on the inside that it looks. We opted to sit inside because it's September in Miami! The inside wasn't even that refrigerated! Their Spice menu is great, with 4 options each for starters and mains. Bonus - they offered the Spice menu without our having to ask. 2 of us had the ceviche; one had the lobster bisque. The ceviches were tangy and fresh; the lobster bisque had nice chunks of lobster floating in it. For mains, we went with the catch of the day; side of veg, jalea, and lobster ravioli. The catch was hogfish. I didn't sample, but my friend loved it. The jalea was perfectly fried and not at all greasy. The lobster ravioli was a little gummy but garnished with plenty of fresh lobster. Dessert was mousse (or "mouse" on the menu, hehe!) - chocolate and passionfruit. They also offer flan but I have a gigantic aversion to flan, so that was a no-go. The chocolate mousse was bittersweet and the passionfruit had a nice tartness. Service was great even though they auto-tip. I thought that the regular menu is a bit pricey and there is an off-putting fish aroma coming from their iced fish display when you walk in, but all in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Who would have thought there was an addition to the list of tastiest seafood in Miami Beach ! This is exactly what I thought when I made my way over to Fifi's for lunch . I started off with fifi's shrimp tempura in creamy spicy sauce. The sauce wasn't too spicy but added a nice flavoring to the perfectly tempura shrimp . Next was the delicious Crawfish / Langostino grilled with garlic butter and olive oil. The crawfish was so fresh and the butter and olive oil dipping was incredible! This is a must order....I'm still thinking about it. Next on the list of my afternoon eats was the tuna ceviche (served with crunchy tortilla chips ) , lobster and tuna tacos (you will want to order more ) and finally caramel Flan and passion fruit mousse for dessert . The daughter had a last minute sleepover so casual date night! We took a seat outside, for some good people watching. The servers were quick to offer us water and bread, which was really good. The menu has a lot of seafood options and a few non seafood options. And bonus, it's not an ala carte set up. Every entree comes with salad and a side. The husband and I decided to share the grilled seafood platter, which comes with mussels, scallops, shrimp, a piece of white fish, octopus, squid and one lobster claw. It is served with lemon wedges and a delicious citrusy chimichurri sauce that was so good I was dipping the bread in it. There are at least four pieces of everything but the claw, making sharing easy. The husband ordered vegetables for his side, and they were beautifully grilled. I came to Miami for a short vacation and since this city is by the water, I decided that I want to try their oysters. I couldn't find any Miami, Florida oysters that are straight from the water in the restaurants. I came here and today the only oyster they have is the Kumamoto at $4.00 each, pricey. I ordered one, the meat is the size of a nickel. They added lemon juice and cocktail sauce for me. Usually I eat fresh oysters raw with nothing to get the real taste of it So this took this opportunity away from me. The bill came out to be $4.36 after tax. I gave them $5.51, expecting to get $1.15 back in change. But they didn't give me my change. This means they charged me approximately 30% tips. Did their service earn them the 30% tip? No. They robbed me. Did I say anything? No, because it's just a dollar. But they did earn themselves a bad reputation of dishonesty. l probably would've left a dollar tip anyway but at least let me choose. This restaurant gives me no choice! I would've rate it a one star but they have a fish tank inside and in the fish tank there is Dory! I almost cried in happy tears when I saw her. It's the real fish Dory. This earns them an extra star. If I come back it would be to see Dory, but most likely I won't come back. read more

Some items on the menu are overpriced. But others are a steal. For example the lobster bisque, which is mediocre and served in a tiny bowl, costs $10, while Fifi's grilled parrillada for two (which includes 2 house salads, 2 sides, mussels, calamari, fish, scallops and lobster) at $50 is a great deal! And that's exactly what we had tonight, it was absolutely delicious. Everything was grilled to perfection and it was more than enough for two people. We actually had leftovers to take home! I had the Chilean sea bass which was good but missing some taste. They do come with a small house salad before the fish which was nice.. The fish is cut into big cubes rather than thin slices, making the dish take on a whole new character My girlfriend had the tuna salad app with was fresh and had the perfect balance of Soy and sesame oil. For an entree I had the fried fish fillet with beans and rice, and my girlfriend had the fried rice. My fish was light, flaky and delicious. The rice was also great. Ahhh Fifi's...It's a very very place to have excellent fresh fish. The decor is chic and South Beachy even though it's in NOBE. The service is impeccable. They really go out of their way for their customers. It's not cheap, but any good quality fish place, even though we're surrounded by water here, isn't. We had also ordered oysters, and the last of the season, stone crabs with Cava (they had run out of Prosecco). And of course, the catch of the day , which they prepared both grilled and fried!
