Stopped in here while visiting Miami Beach since it was so convenient location wise. I can remember the last time I had lobster so it was a nice treat. All in all a lobster water and salad cost about $50 since they add a service charge. Service was pretty slow/nonexistent but the tables outside were nice and it was a great spot to people watch

Been visiting this location since 2018 when I used to visit Fl on vacations. In 2021 I moved down to South Fl, and it has since become a spot in Miami I bring all my family too when they now come to visit me. If you want good, flavorful, and stuffed lobster rolls, this is the place to come too. Pricing is on high side, but you get what you pay for, a loaded lobster, or crab roll, well with very dollar. We usually all order one roll with a side each, and take our food outside to sit. It's nostalgic for us, and we enjoy coming here time and time again. The staff are always friendly and welcomes us right away, with taking our orders. After the meal, the water isn't too far from the restaurant so it's always nice to go sit by the edge and take in the beautiful Miami views.

Sports bar feel inside. Outdoor is nice with all the night lighting and people watching and ambient music from around the stores and nearby restaurants. Food and drinks itself is okay.

Fantastic food & friendly staff. We sat outside (weather was perfect) and split a cajun shrimp roll, a large lobster bisque, and a small new england clam chowder (not pictured). This was perfect for two of us - we felt full and not uncomfortably stuffed. The service was just fine, the quality of the food really shines and at a reasonable price point!

As I sat down, I untied and loosened my wrap skirt to make room for the expansion of my stomach- the menu had me salivating. What to choose... what to choose. We ended up getting three buttered lobster rolls with lobster bisque. Naturally my kids were stuffed and I ended up finishing their food - it was delicious. Truly. Buttery delicious chunks of lobster ... so good. Left very pleased. Service was good and the tables outside were nice. This was my second time at this location, and it did not disappoint

Food and service were excellent. Nice restaurant in a quiet section. Food quality was great and prices very reasonable for what you're getting. Recommend and would visit again.

Obsessed with The Lobster Shack! They have such affordable lobster rolls, almost everything on their menu is amazing, and they're one of those places that doesn't skimp when it comes to their lobster bisques. Every time I'm in town, I have to go to the Lobster Shack! Their staff are also friendly and the service is great.

After getting off a cruise ship but looking to kill some time before our flight home, we ended up here at The Lobster Shack. It's an unassuming spot with lots of character and interesting bar decor. My group had an eclectic selection of decent menu items including a burger, a chopped wedge salad and of course, a lobster roll. I also had the most delicious Miami Vice that gave me a little buzz and was refreshing and cooling at the same time. I was super grateful that the server kept my waters coming and filled my water bottle before we left. It was HOT, HOT and hydration is key! This location is perfectly located a block from the beach where we headed right after our meal for a departing dip in the glorious waters of Miami Beach before heading to the airport and back to real life.

Delicious food and drinks served you on the beach?!?! Signed me up first on the list! Orders are placed easily via text and you are immediately responded with an estimated time of delivery. The food is brought directly to you by a kind employee. They take cash or card and are more than happy to bring more food if you wish. Like my last review, the food is perfect and exactly what you should be eating on a beach. They do all the lobster rolls right and make some killer tacos too. Having alcohol alcoholic drink drinks was just a plus in my book. Would love to come and enjoy their service the next time I'm back in Miami!

Had the lobster roll, clams and stone crab "in season." The crab was delicious! First time trying stone crab and we were lucky because it was still in season. Also had the clams, they were ok. Kinda tiny and salty. The lobster roll was ok.

Lots of pic taking in the restaurant. It wasn't the weekend so it wasn't crowded at all. Plenty of room for our party of 10

It was an unforgettable seafood experience from start to finish! The ambiance was perfect, cozy with a beach vibe that made me feel right at home. Service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations. The drink selection was a strawberry daiquiri, which was a great pairing with our meal.

The Naked Lobster Roll and Lobster Bisque

Atmosphere: This place is very homey and the lighting inside is great (not too bright but not too dim as to where you can't see). It has a very hole-in-the-wall atmosphere and the music is not too loud. The wait staff is also very nice and attentive. Food: I got the "Naked Lobster Roll" with a side of Lobster Bisque...and it was one of the best rolls and bisque I've ever had in my whole 20 years of life. The food came out fresh and quick, although there weren't many people there besides us. Overall: This place was absolutely amazing and I would eat here everyday for the rest of my life if I could.

Walking in you get that old school feel with the staff dressed to the tee and very friendly. They had a special pre fixe menu that was fairly priced which allowed me to try a lot of the menu instead of having to order a la carte. Our server was professional and terse but in a way that I didn't mind and he even scolded some other busboys for taking too long to clear our table which I found funny but appreciated too. I started with the Stuffies which were amazing! The baked clams were dressed up nicely and these were very tasty. The stone crabs were delicious and I loved the dipping sauce it came with. Granted we visited outside of stone crab season and so I'd love to come back when the crabs are more fresh and in season. It also came with sides of hash browns, creamed spinach, and a grilled tomato. While I appreciate the quantity and variety they gave, these sides were a miss for me. The pre fixe concluded with my choice of the Key Lime Pie which was a nice ending for the meal. Nicely balanced between tart and sweetness. My only note would be for the crust layer to be bigger since it would help balance out the pie portion a bit better. We also got the fried chicken which is a steal for only $9. Excellent and crispy skin and very moist! The only dry piece was the breast unfortunately, but otherwise it's hard to find a better fried chicken at this price.

But, when I saw they were advertising a Lamb Gyro for $12 (Tuesdays), I took the leap. Seems it wasn't that far to jump. Although there were table cloths, cloth napkins and silverware, with room for a true dining experience, the fan sitting atop the bar, (blowing-off more air than necessary), and the plastic plants on the walls/ceilings threw-off any pretense I had of the place. When I requested the Lamb Gyro, the server pointed to an entree on the menu for me to approve. I made sure there wasn't another (re: pricier) offer. There was... it was the one he suggested. The gyro itself consisted of a bland (Tzatziki?) sauce that struggled to find my taste buds. Lamb (typically) has a gamey/slightly sweet flavor; these cuts seemed to be found from behind their refrigerator, (not from inside). They certainly weren't cut fresh from a spit, as they were old and nearly tasteless. The included slices of onion and peppers, delegated to the pita bottom, (instead of intermingling) barely helped. The French fries (included in the price) were the most flavorful part of the meal; although, they were an insult, rather than accompaniment to the experience. And, was that Latin (instead of traditional Greek) music coming from the speakers? Along with a 20% "Administrative" fee, I won't be tempted to venture in again.

The grilled octopus originally came out overcooked and tasted like dry rubber chicken. The oysters were even more disappointing--the first batch was slimy and tasted off. You know when an oyster is not fresh, and these definitely did not taste fresh. To the server's credit, he insisted the kitchen remake both dishes. However, we had already finished eating by the time the replacements came out, so it was too little, too late. In my opinion, both dishes should have been removed from the bill given the quality issues. Service was extremely slow from the beginning. We waited almost 20 minutes before the server even came by to check on us. I had read other reviews mentioning poor service here, and unfortunately, it seems there is some truth to that. Interestingly, the server became much more attentive and apologetic only after I told him how disappointed we were with the octopus and oysters. We also witnessed another family leave visibly upset, with someone throwing their receipt at the greeter. I have no idea what happened, but it certainly didn't add much confidence to the experience. Then came the final surprise: a mandatory 20% gratuity was added to the bill, along with a resort fee that had not been disclosed to us upfront. I asked the server why the resort fee wasn't mentioned, and his response was essentially, "Sorry, that's just how it is here." I didn't even know this was part of a resort?! That is poor business practice. If additional fees are going to be added to the bill, they should be clearly disclosed before the customer orders. The grilled branzino was honestly the highlight of the meal and the one dish I would happily order again. Unfortunately, one great dish wasn't enough to make up for the disappointing oysters, octopus, sangria, slow service, and surprise fees. Overall, this was not the dining experience we expected, and I wouldn't rush back.
