Had a quick lunch at this joint a few weeks back and left impressed with the deliciousness. Tucked away in the corner of a busy shopping center on Alton Rd, I missed it a lot of times driving by. I don't think they've been open for long. Before I even say anything about my dish, the table next time ordered the Lomo Saltado and it looked so good I almost ordered it to go but it was gonna be sitting in the car for a while in this Miami Heat so I told myself I'd just have to come back and try it. The portion was more than generous but it just looked so juicy and delicious. Anyways, I have the bistec a lo pobre and this too was mouth watering, savory and yummy. That tacu tacu is the best I've had in town and that's a lot coming from me. The steak was perfection as well. The sweet plantains were definitely made in house, not the frozen ones I hate with a passion. Side sauce was phenomenal. Again, the portions are very generous, enough to put you in food coma. Hands down the best Peruvian restaurant I've been to! The place is spotless, and the customer service was genuinely top-notch. Now, the food wow. From the flavorful lomo saltado to the perfectly done chicken fried rice, every bite was incredible. The ceviche was the best I've ever had. Honestly, I'm craving it again just writing this review. The agua de Maracuya was perfection and the leche de Tigre on the house was such a good taste of what was coming with the ceviche. This is a nice place just off Alton Road in a small strip. We decided to give it try for dinner the other night. We were greeted warmly. Like other Peruvian restaurants a small bowl roasted corn and plantain chips was brought to us along with a small taste of leche de tigre. My husband and I shared the seafood combination platter including Ceviche de Pescado, Arroz con Mariscos, Jalea Mixta, Yucca fries and Criolla salsa. This was a serving for 2 as well as some leftovers. Every thing was done perfectly. Our daughter had the traditional Aji de Gallina. It, too, was delicious and we had leftovers for the next day. I am particularly sensitive to loud music. The server turned it down when the volume seemed to increase. It was a good meal and an enjoyable evening in a neighborhood restaurant. read more

My husband saw this place on instagram and wanted to give it a try. We went one Sunday afternoon and it was a hit. We all loved the food and the server was very pleasant. Food was excellent. I came there with my friends and there was no hostess so we decided to sit down at an available table. At that time while on the phone he complained and claimed we were wrong to sit down in a table without his permission (He was still on the phone). We split two appetizers: grilled octopus and a traditional ceviche. Each dish was unique with complex flavors textures and colors. The fresh squeezed passion fruit juice was a delicious complement to the exquisite food. Our waiter (and GM) could not have been more hospitable. He carefully Explained several of the unique sauces and accompaniments such as mauve colored, olive-based aioli served with multicolored, perfectly roasted potatoes along with the octopus. The ambience is cozy, fancy, but unpretentious. Is that possible? Plus, it's away from hustle and bustle of the strip on south beach. Enjoy your meal in peace and quiet, then go to the strip! Wow amazing authentic Peruvian food. Big foodie and I travel every 2 months to Peru and I can say this might be the best Peruvian restaurant in Miami. Trust me, I eat Peruvian a lot, from Miami Beach to Kendall, Midtown, etc. Food is very fresh and delicious, great portions and presentation. I was actually very surprised as the location is not the most appealing but just like in Peru what matters is the food. Service is also very good. A gem. This is perhaps the best service we have ever had at a restaurant. We stopped in for some appetizers and drinks before a show and were immediately greeted by a friendly wait staff. The manager was very passionate about the food they were serving and took the time to explain what made a ceviche a ceviche (and more). He recommended some drinks and was incredibly quick to refill water glasses and check in on us. Neither of us had ever tried Peruvian food before, but were very very happy with the plates we ordered.
