Crunchy large well cooked crust but the middle was soggy and incredibly thin and unrisen. The cheese curds were pretty good. The salad didn't have a lot of flavor, could have done with more dressing. We walked to this place because it was close to our hotel. This is good place to meet up and have a beer or to go to after movie. Calamari was a little heavy with oil, angry shrimp was pretty good and our two pizzas were okay, we dipped the pizza crust into the butter from the angry shrimp - yum! The food was heavy not healthy ... but that's what kind of restaurant this is - bar food. The craft beer is refreshing to cut through the heavy food. Tonight we dined simple splitting a Caesar Salad and a Seasonal Meatball and Pepperoni Pizza. The Caesar Salad was actually pretty good and with the addition of anchovies quite tasty. The salad was good size and easy to split. The Seasonal Pizza was also tasty and the wood fired Pizza Oven helped bring the flavors together. Service was polite but at times we felt forgotten. We had to request water while others got water automatically. Also, the check was dropped off at the end of the meal but it took decades to have the bill processed. Hubby and I came here yesterday for a late lunch after a day of car shopping. I love coming here too. We were greeted and seated immediately at the same Table we had the last time we were there not too long ago and can see the kitchen which I like watching. Happy hour was being served only at the bar top seating. We decided to split the Forge cheeseburger, roasted beet salad and I order had the Josh Cabernet. Our server was great. He promptly took our order and delivered our drinks and food fairly quickly and frequently check on us too. We have always enjoyed the cheeseburger here so that was delicious as it should be. The roasted beet salad was a new item we tried and I usually don't like beets but on this day I guess I fell in love with them. That salad was so good that I am craving it right now as I write this review! They have loyalty card and because we dine there often we got a some funds to redeem off the check. I just ordered a Mediterranean pizza through Grubhub and I can honestly say this is one of those rare instances in which the actual product is way better than the photo. It came with plenty of artichokes, olives and sun-dried tomatoes. The garlic sauce was very tasty and not overwhelming. I would definitely order this again. read more

Service when dining is good, not great, what lacks the most here is the consistency of service. Not checking in constantly or even often at all which brings me to the terrible bar service. Last 3 times I've came to sit at the bar I can say it took at least 10 minutes to even get asked if I wanted a drink, absurd. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but mainly indoor when it's cold. It's very aesthetic and I like the vibe inside. We however didn't order any pizza so we want to try it next time. We had 2 kids and 3 adults in our party, the kids got grilled cheese and chicken nuggets with fries along with lemonades. I got the roasted beet salad with chicken which was really good! My brother got the fish and chips and my sister in law got fish tacos. We were a little worried that our food wasn't going to come out in time but it did and we were able to finish and pack our leftovers before our movie. Even though there is a pizza place down the street from my house, I'd rather take the extra miles to visit Forge. Their building is spacious and welcoming - offering bar, indoor, and outdoor seating. The food is amazing! If you like a sourdough crust thin pizza, this place is for you! I ordered the cheese curds as well. I like the spin they took on it by having them beer-battered. The option of indoor and outdoor seating is neat - we chose indoors. Service was friendly enough, slightly awkward maybe? Not sure how to describe it. We ordered the "Bamba" pizza which is "red sauce, chorizo, pickled jalapeños, pepperoni, red onions, mozzarella, parmesan, fresh cilantro." I found our pizza to be overall underwhelming. A good combination of flavors but for the price, the toppings were very sparse. Just check my picture and you'll see what I mean. The two of us shared it. We weren't super hungry, so it was fine, but if you want a full meal you'll definitely want to order your own pizza. This pizza is regularly $21 (online menu shows $20 as of this writing but paper menu in restaurant was accurate) but as we came during "happy hour" it was $16. Again, that's actually a decent price especially given the area, but I would just expect more substance to the pizza, especially if I was paying the regular price of $21. read more

Went here with the family to meet some friends. One of the few places to bring kids in Napa. We enjoyed pizza, appetizers, cesar salad, french fries. Food: very good. The kids enjoy the kids menu, and some of the more grown-up fair. There is a full bar, but it was not awkward without drinks. The flavors are good, they were groundbreaking about 5-10 years ago. Keeping in mind that 2 stars means "Could've been better". Here are suggestions to improve the service that was lacking. 1. Bring out the little plates, silverware, and napkins BEFORE bringing out the 2 pizzas, not setting the pizzas down and then saying, I'll go get your plates. 2. When the cook takes the pizza out of the fire, don't let it sit there getting cold. Deliver it to the table. Someone should be stationed at the entrance to greet and seat the customers. The pizzas for being so "fancy" were kind of bland. Putting arugula on it was interesting, but it might be better to add a little flavor to it, if you put it on last like you did, then maybe giving it more fire for about 30 seconds. Or it might not work, but just having the raw green on there, didn't seem like some sort of culinary genius idea, it seemed more like an afterthought. read more

As much as their pizzas looked and smelled delicious, they're decidedly not keto friendly and so we stuck to things that were. Brussels Sprouts starter was great. Slightly fried and topped with a lemony sauce and some shaved parmesan, no breading. Perfect and delicious. The Smoked Buffalo Wings were also great. Half flats and half drums, they were lightly covered in sauce and served with blue cheese. Not drowning in sauce, they were meaty and just a little bit spicy but not too much so. I'd have preferred hotter but my friend liked them as they are. Wonderful outside seating with a shaded patio that also has gas heaters for the cooler evenings. Super awesome.
