I had heard really good things about Fill A Bagel and was beyond disappointed. I ordered an egg bagel with sausage, egg and cheese. The bagel itself was fine. But the sandwich was just awful. I suspect that they don't have a griddle and microwaved the eggs because the eggs were almost puffed up and had the consistency of sand paper. read more

It's nice to know that this place is around the corner from where I live. So, if I ever had a craving for a bagel I could run over and satisfy it. But one of the biggest issues I have with the place is the way the eggs are prepared for the sandwiches. I'm pretty sure they have about 3 microwaves. Why do you microwave eggs? It's the worst thing you could possibly do to eggs, which is why I struggle with having to spend money in microwaved eggs. If you put together the cost of all those microwaves you probably could've invested in a really small flat top. That's just my opinion, but what do I know? read more

This is probably a one and done for me. There was so much hype over this store opening. I got a plain bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese. While the employees are very friendly, the product is just okay. if I'm going to get a bagel and eat those calories id much prefer Manhattan bagel. read more

This place has fallen progressively lower on places to go. The bagels are very good for the area, but their iced coffee tastes stale, they are a bit over priced, and their service leaves something to be desired. Today, my husband went to get breakfast and ordered me a lox sandwich. He came home and when I opened it, I found that there were no lox. Considering what they charge for that, there really is no excuse to miss the main ingredient. My husband brought it back and they put a very small amount of lox on and didn't even recut it so when I went to pull it apart and eat it, all the lox came off. I only come here to buy the bagels, and I will say that they are very good. The so-called bagels at Acme, Wawa, etc. do not stand comparison. Before they opened, I was going way out to Lipkin's (8013 Castor Av) to get a decent bagel, a forty-minute drive from where I live in Erdenheim. read more

Tomato basil bagel was pretty good. Ask for lite on the cream cheese because they load it up. BUT it was a good bagel.

This used to be my favorite bagel shop until today. I walked in and there was no line, but I stood there for several minutes and none the teenagers working there even acknowledged my presence. One them was even fiddling with his cell phone and talking with another about whatever was on it. Finally I got pissed off and left. I don't think any of them even noticed. Ugh, so not worth it. Don't spend your time or money at this dump. Overpriced burnt bagels with flavorless spreads and toppings. Bacon, egg and cheese on a rye/pumpernickel bagel was the saddest thing I have ever tasted in my entire life. It had to be doused in hot sauce to even be considered edible. I tried a bit of my friend's everything bagel to see if that had a better taste and that was at the opposite end of the spectrum- a salt lick. Like someone behind the counter was too stoned to realize they were dumping a bottle of Morton's on there. Yuck. And that's just the product. The people who WORK there are just as bland as the food. Too bad they are RUDE as well. The little teenagers who work there aren't so bad, they don't know any better. But I had an unfortunate encounter with someone who I guess considers themselves management and she was the most unpleasant person I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. No wonder everyone who works there seems completely miserable. *** Keep in mind, this is just for the ORELAND location. The Jenkintown location is much more lively with more people walking through the door (although the bagels are still just as 'meh' and the staff looks a little depressed. Womp womp). read more

This place was terrible in every way. The food is way over priced for what you get. They microwave every single part of your order, which for me was a sausage egg & cheese. It took entirely too long, when I realized that the food was microwaved and probably frozen it made the wait that much worse. I will never return here and tell everyone I know the same. I've been a fan of Fill A Bagel in Jenkintown for years but the location just wasn't convenient; however, I would still make the trip just for the salad bagel! I was so excited to see a franchise was coming to Oreland. I was there opening week and it was crazy busy which proves that it's a good location and product. Oreland really needed a store like this. The owners are local and are so well liked so all that know them want to see this a success. To me the wait was worth it, the breakfast bagel puts Wawa and Dunkin' Donuts to shame! They have an awesome variety of homemade cream cheese and fresh breads and the salad bagel is to die for! While they are getting acclimated to the new location and staff I found ordering ahead has been great, always ready when I get there. I'm afraid my waistline is the only thing that won't enjoy the fact there is one so close by! Best of Luck!!!! read more

Bagels are delicious!!! However, they always, and I mean always, mess up my order. Yesterday I got the wrong type of bagel in my sandwich order. Last week, they forgot to give me the correct change - shorting me over $3. Then I had to wait 8 more minutes so the worker can retrieve the key to the register - again making me late for work. They've put cheese on a bagel when I said no cheese. They've put tomatoes on a bagel when I said no tomatoes. Something is wrong with their system. The workers never seem to be on the same page. There's always one employee that's talking behind the counter about something non-related to bagel-sandwich making. There's usually a worker outside smoking a cigarette - gross! So why do I got there? Well, it's convenient to the place I work at and nearby. However, I might not be working at that place much longer, because this bagel place keeps screwing up my order and making me late to work and late back from my 20 minute lunch break. Again, the bagels are delicious. They are not the problem. The service remains confusing. Oh, also, the honey is coagulated and needs to be replaced. Why is the honey container never replaced? For a place that's kind of expensive - will spend $9 on lunch a few days a week - you'd figure that the service would be tighter. Heck, there's always like 5-to-6 people working. Have loved Fill A Bagel in Jenkintown for years and years...and love the newer location in Oreland just as much!! I live in Upper Dublin, so I go to both stores and am never disappointed! Same delicious bagels - my favorite are the great grain everything, and same wonderful service. Great for breakfast and lunch, and for special occasion and holiday platters. In fact i had a platter made up for a family event just today. Beautifully arranged and fresh as always. Everyone loved it!! i just had an amazing bagel sandwich....it was tempting tuna on an everything bagel and it was tempting all right. it made my day. my friend ross had a chicken salad on an onion bagel and was wonderful as well. service was fast and coutous . very well served and satisfied. great job. read more

I went to the Fill A Bagel in Oreland for the first time last Friday and I cannot say a bad thing about it! The manager was adorable, you could tell the staff respected her. She was super helpful and very attentive! I had a salt bagel with lite vegetable cream cheese and it was amazing! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. read more

Bagels are fine, but service is terrible. Also, no coffee was ready right when they opened. Staff should get in earlier to make coffee. Or open later. This isn't rocket science. read more
