Wonderful new wine and coffee cafe! They make a great matcha latte as well. Located in beautiful Kennydale, really nice outdoor patio. Very friendly owners and staff! Great place to relax and enjoy a nice glass of wine and wonderful dinner specials!

My fiancé and I love the Filling Station! Coffee, beer, wine, soda, food, board games, cozy vibes - they have it all! They put on car events, game nights, and occasionally they have a taco vendor who makes amazing food. Everyone is super friendly and provides excellent service. Definitely stop by for amazing food and drinks!

    Ham and cheese croissant. $12.50!

I was super excited about supporting this local coffee shop. The London fog I had was well made and tasty. This was $4.75 for a 12oz, typical for the area. I was shocked though when I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and this brought my bill before tip to $18.49. The croissant was store bought and did have a nice piece of specialty ham but otherwise very basic for that astronomical price. Idk...just seemed quite high.

My new favorite spot to go for a coffee in the morning. The staff treats you like family and the espresso is delicious! They even have wine and snacks so I really couldn't ask for more. 10/10 Ambiance

Enjoyable place with view of the blue angels, lots of games my daughter and I played while we had pizza and I had a wine. Will be back.

Awesome new addition to Kennydale, right off the 405. Coffee, wine, and other drinks. Great update to the previous business. Very nice owner and employees. They hosted a great Cars & Coffee event, along with the Kennydale Neighborhood Association. Great seating and patio!

Got a drink here on a summer day. It was nice to sit and absorb the warm sun in. EAsy parking and you don't hear traffic noise.

We kicked things off with the truffle popcorn--my go-to starter here. Light, warm, and perfectly kissed with truffle oil. Not greasy, just addictive enough to keep reaching in between sips of wine. Then we ordered the artichoke cheese dip. Warning: it arrives piping hot (our server kindly gave us the heads up). We dug in anyway and immediately learned patience is a virtue here. Once cooled, it's gooey, creamy, and totally worth the wait. And because conversations just kept flowing, we added the meatballs to the table. Hearty, flavorful, and the perfect "something more" to balance the lighter bites. Service was spot-on--attentive enough to make sure we had everything we needed but never intrusive. I also love how this spot works for so many moods: girls' night, solo bar hangs, or even patio time with pups. Overall: cozy, versatile, and always a solid pick when you want to sip, snack, and chat the night away.

As for the wine, whatever house savignon blanc they offered us was delicious. The salads were good. The pastas less so. One was a spaghetti with meatballs. The balls were good, the spaghetti was mush. The other was chicken Alfredo which tasted like a frozen meal. We also had two cakes to choose from for dessert but I didn't have any. The staff was nice and I understand it's hard to manage such a big group but they tried hard.

They do have a good wine list, but the pricing is HIGH. Think $25-$45 PER GLASS. Some of the wines this made sense for, but they really should consider adding a wine or two below $25 per glass. I have my WSET 2 and know a decent amount about wines so could understand why some of them were priced like this, but the whole menu being this high was strange. $32 for a glass of pinot noir didn't sit right with me. We asked to do flights so we could try a few things, but they said they were only doing glass pours. We asked for a rec for an acidic, fruity red and felt like the gal just told us the most expensive non-tannic red on the menu. Fine. For $32 a glass, I would not order what I got again. We headed to a restaurant after and got $14 glass pours that we preferred. This is a great place to go to impress someone with the chic vibes, but good wine can be found elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I do see the appeal though. It was also pretty loud when we went, so we chose to finish our conversation elsewhere.

A popular location, Barrels can fill up fast so I appreciate slipping in before or after the crowds but if the timing doesn't work out I'll buy a recommended bottle to-go. Josh is incredible. His staff are also delightfully authentic people. They are equally welcoming and just real for lack of a better word. When I come here I'm treated with a warmth that I only experience at places I'm a regular but here they immediately engaged as though I've always been here. They joke, tell stories, and share laughter that puts me at ease. Barrels is a comfortable wine bar. I have been a Drum Roll fan for YEARS now and was so excited to watch their tasting room come to life. My first encounter with them was at the Issaquah Wine Walk like 6-8 years ago (it's hard to pinpoint) and Matt, one of the co-owners, was so personable and nice. The added bonus was that the wine was delicious. So when I discovered they were opening a tasting room in Renton, I was so ecstatic. They've been open for a year or two now and they are flourishing! The space is creatively curated and speaks to the owners and their family so well. It's kid-friendly and pup-friendly which makes this really a very welcoming spot in the downtown area. They don't carry food, but they do have snacks. But more importantly, they have delicious wine (duh). Over the years, my favorite has stayed constant - their white blend! They've never made a wine I haven't liked, but their white blend is a guaranteed classic that I can crack open for myself, or at family dinners, and know it's going to be a hit. Sundee and Matt (the power duo behind the Drum Roll brand) are truly wonderful, welcoming humans and this is such a bright piece of Renton. Do yourself a favor and mosey in for a sip or two!
