    Empanadas
    Gordon S.

First time visit and it was great. Cute decor and friendly, attentive servers. We started with three different empanadas. Ham, cheese, tomatoes and hot! Freshly made with cheesy dipping sauce. Yum! Jess had lomito a cabillo. It was steak, ham, cheese and potato with rye bread. She loved it. I had azul eggs which had bacon, bleu cheese and spinach over eggs with grits and a hot buttered homemade biscuit. It really was good. It's a small place and we got there around noon. Earlier was busier but would be worth the wait.

The wait time was not too long, however they were very busy. I could tell our server was a bit frazzled. There was a party of 6 that left before being called. They have a variety of options to pick from! The food was great! Bacon nice and crispy, eggs well seasoned. I see why they are popular.

Great breakfast place. I got a breakfast sandwich to go before heading out on the. It's super close to the marinas and the closest spot to many boats. Super fast service, great coffee, and everyone I was was enjoying their meals and the staff.

I can not say enough amazing things about my experience here today. Amazing & attentive staff, great atmosphere, and AMAZING food. The menu has a variety of traditional and Argentinian style foods. There is truly something for everyone. I have never had Argentinian style foods before, and it did NOT disappoint. I would strongly recommend the "Eggs Argentinian" or "JP's Benedict." To top off the amazing experience, David - the owner, came out to the bar area and gave everyone a Dulce De Leche desert on the house! Thank you WAKE UP for an amazing morning!

Phenomenal. Straight up a great meal. Monday around 10 am outside in the beautiful FL weather. First visit and we both found items we wanted without having to ask. My son consumed a massive portion on a twist on Eggs Benedict (one of many iterations) called Irish Benedict with corned beef hash as opposed to Canadian Bacon. I tried my best to finish off Eggs Azules which is very rich and savory. Both were absolutely delicious. They have two locations in New Smyrna. We visited the North causeway location. Talked with a friend that frequents their other location and he had only great things to share. A must try for breakfast when in New Smyrna.

We love this place. I had a BLT, which was delicious & my husband had the country Benedict (poached eggs, sausage & gravy on biscuits) and ate every bite. This was our first time at this location & we will definitely be back! The service was pretty quick, as there was no wait when we arrived, but there was a short wait as we were leaving. This is a locally owned business, decorated to respect their South American heritage. Can't wait to try something new on the next visit.

Finally a second location open in NSB and this one is as good as the original, in regards to the physical restaurant i think it's better in regards to comfort, this family owned business easily ranks at the top when it comes to breakfast service and no other restaurant in the area comes close and believe me I've tried them all. The quality of the ingredients used to create these amazing dishes I found to be consistent between the two locations - some may argue but in my opinion their omelettes are their signature dishes hands down, you won't find any flat top cooked dried out omelettes coming out of this kitchen, these over stuffed fluffy omelettes are absolutely delicious and are filled with just about anything you crave. The staff here shares the same friendly customer service we've come to expect when visiting one of their restaurants, the smiles here are as plentiful as the coffee. It seems the customers that used to wait for a table at the beach side location have found this location to be a great alternative so this location may now have become the more popular location, the larger seating area allows more opportunity to be seated in a reasonable amount of time. I've found and recommend coming between the hours of and this really shortens the wait time hope to see you then...

Beyond the delicious food, the atmosphere and history of the restaurant make the entire experience special. If you're visiting St. Augustine, Columbia Restaurant is an absolute must! She lives in Saint Augustine and had chosen this location because it was walking distance from our hotel, very convenient. The restaurant was hopping on a Monday night and it was good she had made reservations. Although we had a great time, I felt the food was only OK given the marketing oversell in the menu. (All quotes following are from Columbia's menu). I often like to try a restaurant specialties, especially far from home. First I had "Columbia's Original "1905" Salad® The Columbia's legendary salad tossed tableside" as a side salad. It was nothing special, hardly "legendary". For the main course I again relied on the menu and chose "Merluza a la Rusa - A Columbia classic since 1935. Spain's favorite fish". Again, disappointing given the description. The fish was somewhat bland and the top coating was burnt. If this is Spain's "favorite fish"there must be a dearth of seafood there. For dessert I chose the Key lime Pie: "Key lime pie is the "Official Pie of the State of Florida."". Decent Key lime pie but nothing memorable. However, I must say the bread that comes to your table is outstanding. The Columbia is obviously a Saint Augustine institution but I wish the food had come closer to the flowery menu descriptions.

I…read morewas forced to pour my own drinks for a large order and was refused a drink carrier, even though I clearly had multiple beverages to carry. My hands were completely full, which made it impossible to confirm the pickup in the Uber Eats app until I got back to my car. Despite completing the delivery and having a 100% satisfaction rate from customers, I received a complaint from this restaurant saying I didn't confirm the order -- which is completely unfair and misleading. I clearly said at the time that my hands were full and I would confirm the pickup as soon as my hands were free. I never refused to confirm anything -- I explained that I would do it right away once I was able to. I also made it clear at the beginning that I don't speak English fluently and I'm still learning. Instead of showing patience or understanding, the staff responded in a rude and disrespectful way. Later, they even reported me to Uber, which is unacceptable behavior toward someone trying to do their job responsibly. The staff was rude, dismissive, and showed zero regard for the reality of delivery work. I will be leaving this review from multiple accounts and across all platforms including Google and Yelp. Treating drivers this way is unprofessional and damaging to the reputation of any business.

Our overall rating is 3*'s. The folks who work here are very pleasant. The dining room is well decorated. There's no mistaking what the cuisine will be. We ordered a pernil Papa Locas ($14) and both street ($13/5) and birria ($14/3) tacos. We wanted to get a churrasco Mofongo ($35) thinking we'd have plenty of leftovers, but we realized we were simply running out of money. We love Puerto Rican food. We often stop at Lelo's in Orange City when we're in Volusia county and get Mfongo's and the rotisserie chicken and the pork and their daily specials. Our expectation was high tonight because of all the buzz. We really wanted it to be good. And what we ate was good. The employees and the ambience were both great. We enjoyed everything. But why so expensive? We make a good living and we both appreciate fine things - we willingly pay extra for high quality when we feel it is justified. But what we paid tonight didn't bear any correlation to our dinner. These sky-high prices reminded us of Disney. Everything at WDW is inflated: whether the captive audience syndrome because Disney knows their customers have no alternatives; or they just price everything ridiculously high because it's Disney. Unfortunately for this restaurant, it's not Disney. And there are dozens and dozens of alternatives surrounding their building and within a short 10-15 min drive. We wish the owners well. They certainly know how to prepare tasty Puerto Rican food. However, we both agreed we won't be going back because we frankly just don't see the value. Way too expensive.

The decorations with the plants and decor go well together. There is no question that there is Puerto Rican pride there! The hanging chair was also fun! The dinner I had there was also excellent! We sat in this time and had a Tripleta and Canoas. All the flavors were there for both! We also had a tamarind bucket drink! It was so refreshing, and not everywhere offers it!
