Just have a critique of cranberry chicken sandwich. It's too sweet - it's put me off going back to Paneras.

This is different, this is the real deal. You look at their menu and know it's legit at once--then there are the desserts which are also legit and remarkably so--very welcome. My bun bowl with skewered grilled pork and spring roll was absolutely perfect. Like, it seriously could not have been any better. Adrian, my waiter, was also excellent. My only critique--and it may seem a petty one--is the music was banal, trite, American and British pop hits from the early 2000s. There is so much good Viet pop and other Asian music--K-pop if nothing else--they could play, so why this? I don't want to hear the same music Kohl's plays at a restaurant so magical and delicious. But aside from the bad choice of tunes, this is a gem in full.

Our first visit we had Ashlynn F as our server. We struck up a conversation with her on the first visit and found her to be friendly, professional and knew everything about the food and restaurant. So, as we drove over for our second visit we hoped Ashlynn would be there again. Well, our wish came true and we were greeted by Ashlynn when we walked through the doors. Not only did Ashlynn remember us, where we sat on our first visit but also what we ordered the first time!! Anyway if you want great food, great service and some drinks, with or without alcohol, give Mama's Pho a go and we don't think you'll be disappointed. See you next time Ashlynn

I tried the blueberry coffee cake and it was so good -- not overly sweet, super soft, and packed with blueberries. Easily one of the better coffee cakes I've had in a while. The food is consistently excellent, the desserts are beautiful and delicious, and the balance of savory and sweet is one of the things they do best. From the patisserie case to the fully loaded crepes, our family has yet to be disappointed. That is saying something, because usually someone has a critique somewhere. Here, there truly is something for everyone, and we all leave happy. The portions are generous, which we appreciate. We almost always bring leftovers home, and that just means we get to enjoy it all over again later. The service is consistently friendly and helpful. The staff brings a youthful, upbeat energy that adds to the atmosphere. Each visit feels like stepping into a European-style patisserie, and that charm has kept us coming back year after year. With that said, I do want to share one small concern. They close at 3:00 p.m. We are big brunch people, but our schedule often leans toward late morning or early afternoon rather than first thing when they open. I understand there are likely good reasons for their hours, and I know many early birds benefit from them. Still, it can be disappointing. On three separate occasions, we have driven over looking forward to our favorites, only to find the doors already locked. We were not alone. On the most recent visit, three other cars pulled in and had to turn around as well. Even with that frustration, our overall experience with Cinnamon Tree remains overwhelmingly positive. It is a place we genuinely love and will continue to support, just hopefully a little earlier in the day next time.

The restaurant is small and the decor is what I'd call cozy chaotic - lots of beautiful Thai shrines and figures, but then funky Christmas lights strung over whimsical photos. Don't let the "Reserved" tags on every table cause you concern, we and every party that came in after us were assured we could sit anywhere. We started with the Som Tam papaya salad at a medium and it had a perfect kick with the sour-sweet-funk punch of lime, fish sauce, rock sugar, probably some tamarind? It was fresh, cool and crunchy and a refreshing start to the meal. I had to try the Summer Breeze Rolls because I was actually first introduced to this restaurant by their stalls set up at various local farmers markets and the peanut sauce is out of this world, perfectly sweet and salty and a little curry spice kick as well. The rolls were wrapped a bit loose but I love that they grill the shrimp and also stuff mostly with lettuce instead of a ton of noodles so the rolls were more crisp than squish/starch. I got the panang curry medium and I think I could have gone a step up on heat but it was a nice mild burn that let the flavor of the sauce shine through. The veggies were crisp, the chicken tender, and I was happy with every bite. My father got the Lard Na 100 with crispy duck (a $10.50 upcharge but so worth it, so well cooked and crisp!) and loved it, just had no heat despite ordering it medium. I was impressed with the noodles - wide rice noodles but cooked firm so they didn't fall apart but had a delightful chew. The service was friendly, attentive, and super helpful with suggestions on heat level since we hadn't been before and didn't know if they pulled their punches (they don't, so start at a level below what you usually get elsewhere). We're now on a quest to eat our way through the menu!

Tonight we had the "winter pockets" (crab rangoon) and chicken pad Thai. The pockets were a lot smaller than they were a few months ago. Taste was good. Probably wouldn't order them again. Chicken pad Thai did not have peanuts or bean sprouts ?? This seemed odd to us. It was not the best pad Thai we have ever had. It wasn't the worst either. I ordered medium spicy and the food as not spicy at all. Overall, we were disappointed. Next time we will probably try a different restaurant.

As we headed east through Port Orange, he spotted a couple of national chain restaurants and I cringed inside. But then we saw Houligan's, not knowing anything about this small local *chain*, and we both wanted to give it a try. Now that I know a bit of their 30-year legacy in this area, I'm happy with our choice. My only critique is that some of the menu prices weren't current. For example, adding a side salad to my Philly cheese steak was $4.99 on the menu but we were charged $5.99. That said, it was a good size salad & worth $6. Which leads me to digress about their ranch dressing... It was REALLY good. So good that I asked for an extra cup for my Philly cheese steak & Hubs' fries (99¢). Our server mentioned that their Ranch dressing is made in-house, and it definitely shows. I'm not often a Philly Cheesesteak gal but on this night I was craving one. When our server confirmed that I could have it sans peppers, onions & mushrooms, that sounded perfect! It was fantastic! And, YES, I dipped in that amazing Ranch dressing a few times. Not sure why I didn't opt for the French Dip, but I'll definitely consider that sandwich on another visit. I chose mashed potatoes as my side, and they were absolutely incredible. Hubs ordered a burger with mushrooms & loved it. We also split a side salad, which is how I discovered that Ranch dressing. IT WAS SO GOOD. Realistically, I'm not sure when we'll be able to visit another Houligan's but I hope we can. We do pop over to Daytona occasionally but usually on the way to Jacksonville or on the way home to Tampa - not really to eat. But now that we know about Houligan's, and hubs still wants to try their Wally Wings, we may plan a future route just so we can visit again.

I ordered the Club sandwich- great portion size and tasted fresh. Hubby got the Buffalo Chx Wrap and he was happy with it as well. We also ordered Teriyaki wings which were cooked perfect. Super wet sauce and not over cooked. Overall not a bad place to have lunch at. Enjoyed the sports bar vibes, great place to go and watch the game.

Hanwoo Korean BBQ--The "Hidden Workout" Dinner **Strechy…read morepants, may be required** Rating: 5-Star If you want to feel like a Michelin-star chef and a competitive eater at the same time, get yourself to Hanwoo in Port Orange. I went with my BFF and her boyfriend after hearing all the hype, and let's just say, the hype is real (and very filling). The Vibe: Steakhouse Chic meets DIY: Oddly enough, the decor gives off major upscale steakhouse vibes. It's sleek, dark, and actually quite romantic or great for a quiet "getaway" dinner. It's definitely not your average "greasy grill" joint--the atmosphere is gorgeous and classy. Disclaimer: Even tho I was the 3rd wheel. lol The "No Doggy Bag" Challenge: Our waitress was super nice, but she didn't waste a second before dropping the hammer: "No to-go bags allowed." Basically, she was telling us, "Eat it all or leave it behind." Naturally, we took that as a personal challenge--accepted! The Food: Why it Beats a Traditional Steakhouse We went with the Classic Dinner, and the quality was top-tier. The Favorites: The Bulgogi and Hanger Steak were flavored to perfection. The Short Ribs were a total dream, and the Gyoza and Fried Shrimp were the perfect crispy distraction while we waited for the grill to heat up. The Value: Think about it--at a fancy steakhouse, you'd pay $50+ for one steak and maybe a side. Here, for a similar price, you get an unlimited parade of high-quality meats, seafood, and appetizers. Plus, I'd much rather pay for a nice sit-down meal--even if I have to cook it myself (pun intended! lol)--than waste money on "yucky" fast food. The Aftermath: I walked in hungry and left "overfilled." I'm not kidding when I say I literally couldn't get up from the booth. I had to sit there and contemplate my life choices for a few minutes before my legs would work. It's the kind of fun, delicious experience you do once a month or every other month to keep it special. (if that) Pro-Tips for Hanwoo Newbies: The "Same Page" Rule: Remember, the whole table has to pick the same menu (Classic or Signature). Choose your "meat-mates" wisely! Pace Yourself: It's all-you-can-eat, but the "no to-go" rule is real. Don't order 10 plates at once or you'll be staring at a pile of steak you're too full to eat. (Please be concious, don't waste food, TY). The "Forklift" Exit: Wear stretchy pants. This is not the place for tight belts or restrictive clothing. You will expand. For real tho, lol Master the Scissors: Use the provided tongs and scissors to cut the meat into bite-sized pieces while it's on the grill--it cooks faster and makes it easier to share!
