Fin & Feathers is still a vibe, but there were some hiccups last night. I made a reservation for 10:30 PM for me and seven friends to celebrate two birthdays (mine and my best friend's). We were there within the grace period but not seated until after 11. There seemed to be an issue with finding a table. Because of that, I highly recommend making a reservation unless you're okay with standing. Once seated, it took a while to get drinks that we ordered and food. I ordered a round of Casamigos, a margarita and lemon pepper wings. I didn't like the margarita (so it'll be my last time ordering that) and the wings were good flavor wise but fried too hard/slightly dry. The music had a mix of rap, r & b, random Tiktok hits, and a small section of Afrobeat, but it seemed like the djay failed to read the room based on what the women were trying to dance to. There was a lot of dancing and strolling going on throughout the night and that was fun. The experience didn't feel as special as the previous time that we went to celebrate birthdays and we had the same server as before. I saw our waitress bringing out sparklers and signs for other guests that were celebrating but she did not do this for our table even though I told her that we were celebrating two birthdays. I went to this place for the first time for lunch. First I was really surprised to see it was more like a club atmosphere. But the ambience was nice. Also there is a live dj which he was playing good music. I order the catfish with cheese grits and garlic spinach. I was disappointed that the fish was very small for.the price we paid but it was very crispy and flavorful. The cheese grits were not bad. And the garlic spinach was pretty good. I also ordered as an appetizer the fish tacos. Sooo apparently they come with some kind of fruit sauce on it which I was not expecting. Will not be ordering that again. I went when they first opened at 10:15. I was asked if I had a reservation, which I did not. They were still mopping the floor when I arrived though. The hostess was my waitress as well and she was super friendly. She checked on us throughout our meal. I ordered bottomless pineapple mimosas and the French toast sandwich with turkey sausage. I went here on Wednesday night and was surprise how busy this place was at 9:30 at higher specially to be in douglassville. There is no mask mandate for this place . It's a nice vibe in here on a Wednesday so I know weekends , brunch are lit. We sat at the bar area which is self seating . The ambiance , music , and staff are friendly . Perfect place to hangout in pairs or groups . There is sectional seating , hookah , high tops and self seating at the bar . Food to me is mediocre however. Like what you would get at a chain restaurant . No bad but you have had better . We ordered 2 entrees . Lamb and chicken waffles . But we're ok . Mac n cheese is tasted well seasoned but not baked . We happen to find this place after visiting 2 others spots in Douglasville where we had walked out for lack of communication and waiting an extended period of time. Upon entering the doors the manager let us know they were short staff. That we appreciated because we were informed immediately. Our wait was not long. Service was excellent and our food was awesome. Our flight got into ATL on time but there was a delay at the car rental. By the time we got to Douglasville and checked in to our hotel our host for Thanksgiving was not sure of where to suggest we go to get something to eat, so we didn't want to drive far. So, we found Fin & Feathers on Douglas Blvd. It was a pleasant surprise. This was the first time we had been a Hookah Bar, and since we don't smoke, we were surprised that we did not smell the tobacco. I only time I smelled anything was when I went to wash my hands before our food came. Our, sever Nasha was helpful and kind and checked on us often. The entire staff was polite and pleasant with their customers. My wife ordered the Dynamite Pepper Shrimp, which she said were not very spicy which I have to agree. Also, the Shrimp was tough, maybe frozen or overcooked. I ordered the Signature Wings; I was pretty happy with my order. The wings had a nice crisp texture that many places fail to have. I came here with my partner to grab something quick to eat! I appreciated the variety of the menu with the emended line of daily specials. I started with the $5 catfish and fries. The catfish was seasoned perfectly but could have been cooked longer. I also ordered the bourbon salmon and honestly I couldn't eat it. It was very fishy but the bourbon sauce was good. The service was a little slow and at times lacked a little. We were over charged for the daily special. I ordered 1 but was charged for 3. My spouse paid before I could notice the error. We waited for the server to come back and about 10 minutes later decided to leave. I don't think overall it was horrible however with auto grat I expected a little more. This is a brand new spot located in Douglasville Georgia. I would usually go to the other location downtown on Edgewood Avenue, but this one is much better. I prefer this location better because, it's much more spacious. I love the feel and Vibes of the inside, as well as the lighting. The food is pretty good. I've only tried the tacos and Chicken and Waffles so far, but my next selection will definitely be the shrimp and grits. We stopped in to Fin & Feathers for a late lunch on Friday. Our bartender was Kia, she was extremely helpful with guiding us on our apps & our meals. We started off with wings which were so good and juicy. They were not dry at all. The presentation was beautifully done as well. I highly recommend you try these and maybe even for you meal! Shout out to Kayla and Mayo at Fin & Feathers. My moms came to town from up north. We took her here for some good ole brunch at 10am, as soon as she arrived & they opened. The 4 of us ordered mimosas and my moms (70) asked for a coffee. We all laughed Kayla told her that they didn't serve coffee. Mayo was like, I'll go & get her some. Not sure where he went but her brought my moms some piping hot coffee in a Moscow mule cup with some sugar & cream. That was such a very nice gesture that we all will never forget. My first impression of this restaurant was Thursday night for ladies night. I met some friends to celebrate a birthday. I don't drink alcohol so I was surprised to find they only offer tea, lemonade, Coke, or Sprite. So no diet drink options other than water. Our server was nice, but the service was so slow and the place was empty. From the time I arrived and ordered a Sprite it took over 30 minutes to arrive at the table. We had the shrimp and it was good not great for the price. You can get much better food with better service anywhere else. Our table had a hookah and the coals were never refreshed. No one ever checked on that which seemed odd to me but maybe I am out of touch with hookahs and this is normal? My friends had tequila shots and they were $16 each and a 20% gratuity is added to every bill regardless of party size. The tables are really close due to a running booth seat down the wall so I wouldn't love this set up if it were crowded but we were one table of maybe 6 in the whole place. We've heard about Fin & Feathers for some time and finally gave it a shot. We decided to arrive as soon as they open on Sunday so we could avoid the crowd. We were greeted about 5 minutes after being seated. I loved the amount of TVs they had in our area so we were able to watch comfortable. It was a little cold inside the building but I had my jacket so it wasn't too much of an issue. Our food came out within about 15-20 minutes. Initially my food was incorrect but they fixed it immediately. My French toast was amazing!!!! They add a crème sauce (similar to what you'd have on a cinnamon roll) and it's the perfect addition.
