Theresa was rude and insulting, skipped corners, and gave me a blunt, uneven cut. She tried to style it afterward to hide the mistakes, but unblended parts were still obvious. She gave me a cut completely different from what I requested. She ignored proper technique, cut carelessly, and was hostile from the moment she walked over. Went in for a simple trim and long, face framing bangs. Walked in right at 9 to find the stylist washing her own hair in the sink and ignoring me for about 5 minutes until I spoke up and asked if she had availability. It was awkward and unprofessional, but whatever, I overlooked that. She had told me yes because her first client didn't show. Well as soon as I sat down the client walked in so she rushed my cut. I was serviced at about 9:05-ish and was out the the door by 9:15. She didn't even brush my hair out, or part it! Then after she tried to rush me out, I reminded her she forgot to trim the bangs, and she told me she didn't understand what I wanted. I said, "I just want long, face framing bangs--no shorter than eye length." I stressed that I didn't want "little girl bangs" that go straight across my face. Well, she grabbed a huge chunk of my hair, and cut it all at once! Not sectioned so it blended nicely, no, she hacked it like Edward Scissorhands and rushed me to the the register. No, "how do you like it?", nothing. I posted the hilarious but tragic evidence below. If you look at the bangs one side is shorter than my eyebrow and one side goes past my eye. It's been a while since I've had a bad cut, but here we are. Thanks Finest Cuts, for making me look like I did when I was 7 and cut my own bangs in one jagged slice. I would try to get a refund, but I'm not wasting my time. I'm avoiding that business like the plague. Oh, and after I reminded her she forgot the bangs, she took the cape off, but still cut, so I had hair everywhere! She got it off by blow drying it off me... not blow drying my hair, but blow drying the hair she got all over me off of my face and body. Yes, I sat there and had my face blow dried. The lead stylst, Sue has horrible customer service. She is rude on the phone and rude in person. She has regular mood swings. She's sometimes friendly but most of the time not. I tried to suck it up since the price isn't so bad. So if you don't mind a crappy attitude from a person who is supposed to provide customer service, try them out. I give this salon zero stars. My husband came home with his lovely silver hair butchered as if a toddler cut it . Not exaggerating!! My grandsons (teens) no longer go here for the same reason. I tried it once and never went back. This staff needs total retraining or replacement. Went 2 separate times during their posted business hours and both times they closed ALOT earlier than their posted hours indicated. First time I went the lady that was there shutting off the lights and leaving said everyone left early today. What!!! Really?!!! Second time the door was locked but a lady came to the door and said they closed because of COVID!! The lady was in the middle of doing someones hair. That's ok! I won't be going back. I'm back again and this time for their newly offered service: Eyelash extensions! I was ecstatic when I heard they would start booking clients for this high in demand procedure. So I immediately set up my appointment with Sue. She was very thorough in explaining what she'll be doing. She asked if I wanted a more natural everyday look or something more dramatic. I asked if there was anything in between since the field of work I'm in would probably dislike something too dramatic. She gave me her opinion and I left it to her to decide which shape and length would work best for me. She explained that the whole process would take 2 - 3 hrs depending on my lashes. Sue also suggested that I stretch out and use the restroom before the procedure. I mentioned that I have a slight back problem and she remedied that by providing me a pillow to elevate my feet to alleviate the pressure on my back. That coupled with a nice cozy blanket caused me to doze off. The procedure was pain-free and relaxing as well :) When she finished she gave me a mirror to see the results and my jaw immediately dropped. After the initial shock from how gorgeous it was, I grinned from ear to ear. I couldn't believe how much it made my eyes stand out. For my daily look, I usually just apply black liner, mascara and blush. Now all I need is some blush and I'm out the door! This will let me sleep in a few more minutes every morning. I'm extremely satisfied with the results and will be back in a month for my touch up since our eyelashes shed naturally, a touch-up will be necessary. read more

I usually come here every three to six months for my hair needs, but this time I was here to have my eyelashes done. when I first heard about the new service, I didnt care for it. I had a horrible experience four years ago, and I sure as hell was not going to do it again! but....after looking through before and after photos of a few customers, I was tempted!!! somehow, someway, Sue convinced me to give the "fake" lash world another chance! when I arrived for my appointment, I was brought into the back room. she asked me what my preferences were and I told her I wanted something light-weight, comfortable, natural looking, and appropriate for work.  she was able to accommodate my request with #11...not dramatic, but noticeable, and all the above! it was a two hour process, but it went by fast. she was so gentle, I ended up taking a couple 15 mins cat nap in between! she was very thourough with everything and answered all my questions. I entered and their is a wait and the ladies lied stating we had walk ins so when you called there was no one there at the time !!! I work across the street and let them know that I will be there in 10MINUTES and reserve me ! I was in need of a cut and had run out of time before taking off for vacation so I took a chance and walked into here and I'm actually glad I did. Sandra greeted me, sat me down I explained that my super long hair (down to my bum) would need 6 inches cut and my layers needed to be hacked short again and I wanted her to wash it. She asked a few questions to fully understand what I was needing and moved me over to the shampoo bowl. She was precise and offered recommendations for quick and easy ways to style when on the go and even ways to style with little to no heat. This place is not one I would return to. The owner,Sue is not friendly whatsoever. She's very particular on who she works on. If you're a woman forget it...she will tell another beautician to work on us. And she's always always speaking in Vietnamese. Who's to say she's not talking about us right under our noses. My girlfriends mother's shop is pretty close to this Barbershop, i told her i needed a haircut, she then told me "hey there's a new spot that just opened down the street, go give them a shot". i figured, why not? got nothing to lose but my hair right? haha I wish i had more hands so i could give this place 4 thumbs up! I have never written a review prior to this one. I felt obligated to let people know how horrible my experience was with Sue the owner of Finest Cuts. From day one Sue was never very nice but the haircuts were pretty good. I was always very respectful of her and tipped her fairly at least 30%. The last haircut I received was horrible but I went back and she fixed it. She was not very nice about it. I went in yesterday and she was down right rude to me and in not so many words told me not to come back. I was a good client and still don't know why she was so rude after coming to the shop for over a year. It amazes me when owners feel like they are doing you a favor taking your money and I am even more amazed when owners feel they can treat you any way they want, which they can, but only until they don't have any more clients to abuse. Since our initial move to El Dorado County...nearly 5 years ago I have not had a haircut, so naturally my hair grew. It was nice having it long, as I've always had short to medium-length styles in the past. But since my hair is thick, it was just getting to be too much for me to handle. To make a long story short, no pun intended, it was time for a cut. It took me an awfully lengthy amount of time to decide on a haircut simply because it's not easy to find a good hairstylist. Having just moved to El Dorado Hills I decided to take a chance with Finest Cuts as they are within 5 minutes of our home. My initial visit was about a month ago. Walking in I was greeted promptly and was directed to have Suzanne (spelling?) cut my hair. I pretty much knew the style I wanted--a simple, medium-length cut. Suzanne was quick to understand what I was looking for, and I enjoyed our conversation. She even offered to work on my hair further if I was not satisfied. First I'd like to say I received a good quality haircut and would like to go back. However the atmosphere was very uncomfortable . Why is it that Asian shops speak back and forth in front of customers in their foreign language when obviously they know how to speak English . The only answer quite obviously is that they are talking badly about you or someone else there that can't understand it .Surely you know that everyone within hearing distance is aware that you are disrespectful and of questionable character. The best thing about it is it is right next to Rachel Nails. So, I can get a haircut and a pedicure in one place since I'm disabled and can't reach my feet anymore from surgeries. Funny how 1 bad apple can break your review. Been coming here to this salon for years for my 2 boys and I have to say Suzanne is the worst hair stylist and has the worst customer service ever! Pam cut my 6 yr old and is always amazing and only took maybe 15 min while Suzanne cut my 3 yr old and took 45 min and cut it terribly. I asked her to cut around the ears and she gave me attitude. Isn't that a standard with boy haircuts? Also she was rolling her eyes at me when I was pointing out the unevenness. So rude and will never go back to her again! If you ever go to this Salon avoid Suzanne ( Caucasian). She is unsanitary, rude and probably racist. I asked for a shampoo and blow dry/ flat iron and she said she would do it but it wouldn't be perfectly straight since it was not her area of specialty. I said that was okay. She sat me down for a shampoo and put a wrap on me that was covered with hair from a previous client. When I said that is "yuckee" she appeared to be miffed and asked me if i had never been to a salon where they used the same wrap on every one. I said I had never been to a salon where there had been hair from another client on my wrap. She then switched to another wrap and asked me where I usually did my hair. She asked why I hadn't gone there to do my hair today. I told her that I usually did my own wash and dry and very often went to Finest Cuts when I didn't have the time. I told her Sue usually did my hair and did a very good job. I then told her that I had never been treated so rudely before and since she didn't seem to want to do my hair, I would leave after the shampoo. To which she said that was fine with her and proceeded to roughly shampoo my hair. At the end of the shampoo she left me with my hair dripping wet to the extent that the other very nice lady (I think it was Ann) handed me a towel to dry my hair. Ann had had surgery on her shoulder and apologized for not being able to blow dry my hair herself. I hope that Sue comes back after her delivery-she is professional, clean and does a great job every time. We don't need bad service and rudeness like this in El Dorado Hills! read more
