I am so over the suggestive selling techniques that these nail salons keep doing. I went to Finest Nails a week or so ago. I don't get mani/pedi's alot - I consider it a treat....so when I go I wish I could order what I want, without being asked, "Do you want callous remover, Do you want design, Do you want extra massage, Do you want this or that etc etc etc." And then when she starts massaging me, she gets a phone call, talks in Vietnamese slapping on lotion and barely paying attention-how irritating! Then after all is said and done the nails aren't even painted that good. I need a good salon is So OC that is not expensive to just drop into...Help! read more

Today I went to Finest Nails. They weren't the finest..... Made an appointment for 5:15pm gel polish change (a good value at $17) and a basic spa pedicure ($18). I was right on time and exited the salon at 5:40pm. The pedi was wayyy to quick. I came here to relax after being on my feet all day at work. It lasted 10 minutes, the lady says the haisty pedi is because I got the "basic" and didn't want to upgrade to the $30 one. She constantly tried to upgrade me. I repeadly told her nothing more than basic. Water was only luke warm, they don't speak English. My gel looks nice, he couldn't get the UV light to work properly. It was old and the plug was ghetto with foil around it! GROSS! When I was getting out of the chair I realized that I only had close-toed shoes and asked for a pair of fun foam flip flops. The lady responded that you have to pay for them!! At checkout, I asked her to add $4 to the card for tip. She responded "DON'T YOU HAVE CASH FOR THE TIP??" in an annoyed voice. ugh horrible experience read more

I've been going to this nail shop for years but these past few months have been HORRIBLE!! First of all I have to continue to remind them to use new sanitized tools when doing my pedicure. That should be without being said. This is just pure laziness and disgusting. Secondly, if I'm spending my money I deserve to be treated with respect. The manager CeCe has become way to comfortable with me as a regular customer. She's rude and nasty. Vanessa was my regular nail tech and she continues to book her appointments too close together and leave her clients waiting. I'm DONE with the horrible customer service and the lack of cleaniness. My friends that I referred left a long time ago. I'm now following suit. I will take my business elsewhere as I refuse to pay almost $100 and be treated as if I'm less than or unimportant. So I got my nails done three days ago and the lady who did them messed them up and the coating that was on them started to flake off. I went in today to get them fixed and I had to wait 30min. Came back in and still had to wait even when I was told I would be taken then. The manager then decided to take me and took almost 40min to just setup and then she kept getting up and back from the front desk and back to the table I was at. She was super rough with my nails and looked like she didn't even care. I recommend never going to this Ladera Ranch location the price isn't worth what you get. read more

I used to love this place until I got scammed by this woman called Chloe. I must admit it wasn't once or twice, in fact three times that she scammed me . I suspected but was trying to see the bright side of things. Scam 1- just before my sister in laws wedding, I went in for an underarms wax and eyebrows. Chloe told me I should also wax my forehead and my neck (I didn't know people did that!). She also made me feel like a Neanderthal caveman for not having waxed my forehead before. She told me that the cost would be higher for me since I have never waxed my forehead before. Fast forward to 2 days later, I had nasty rashes and bumps on my head thanks to her advice ("everyone does it in Florida !") Scam 2 - she was very rude when I was testing colors for my nails (especially when I asked to look at the color in the bottle). You all know how different it looks in the palette vs the bottle vs the nails!. But the worst part was she convinced me to get powder instead of gel, convinced me that regular manicure with cuticles and trimming was NOT part of the powder nails and that I had to pay extra for that!! Scam 3 - this was the last one that broke the camels back. When I went for underarms waxing she looked at my underarms and said "for you it's 20". I had it with her! First of all i have very little hair. In fact after I protested saying it's a fixed price and shouldn't be changed from client to client she went ahead to wax me. It took 2 strips to wax each side!!! She never cleaned it before waxing, didn't put any effort to tweeze any remainders and I was in and out in 5 min tops. Does that warrant a 20$??? When I came out to pay I told the manager and Chloe rushed to the front and tried to explain. Believe me she will raise her voice and try to drown out your voice. But I had enough!!! She is a scammer always trying to squeeze every penny out of clients. Not professional, rude, and doesn't have any work ethics!! I will not be coming back to this place, not as long as Chloe is working there. read more

I've lived in Ladera for 3 years and have been seeing Emma for pedicures the entire time. Emma used to be an aesthetician and her foot massages are amazing!! I've been dealing with an ingrown toenail on my right big toemuni more pointy high heels) and Emma patiently has helped me heal it! The place is very clean and all the girls are really nice and they don't pressure you for upgrades like other nail salons. I pay by credit card and usually tip in cash. Sometimes I've forgotten cash and Emma never seems to mind. I've been to a few Happy Nails where I get the look of death if I don't have cash for tip. read more

Went in for a pedicure as I run races and pedicures are great for race feet. Thought I had said no to every upswell and evidently, I must have said yes to something and she didn't say that is $5 more. I ended up with a $27 pedicure. I also got a polish change and it was actually done right! No lip or attitude at this place which I'm used to getting at Pro Nail. They spoke in Vietnamese most of the time and got louder and louder as they became more annoyed at this woman. I felt the woman was very polite in response to them. Kathy, Vanessa, and Holly are awesome! I live 20 minutes away and even though there are 4 nail salons within 5 minutes of my house, I still drive the longer distance to see Kathy every 2 weeks. It's easy to set appointments--I just text Kathy! She always does a great job and my gel nails always last 2 weeks or longer. The first time I came to this salon my experience wasn't terrible...I upgraded my services and spent $75+ for a gel mani and pedi. So I returned. I don't get my nails done often and honestly I hate spending so much money on pampering... I especially when my experience is sour. I remembered thinking this place was sanitary...I work in dermatology, warts around nails from dirty tools and foot fungus are seen on the regular at my office, so sterile tools and cleanliness are #1 priority when I go to a salon. Unfortunately I didn't see either women pull out tools from a sterile pack today...if I get warts around my nails it's my fault for not leaving. And, the women performing my gel manicure was so aggressive in trimming my cuticles to the point that alcohol burned and they feel sore now...but I didn't stop her because it makes me uncomfortable to tell someone they may be doing their job poorly. Again, I better not grow a wart. I wanted a basic pedicure, $22...she asked to upgrade multiple times, I get it, it's part of her job, I agreed to upgrade the massage. Mind you, I agreed knowing I wasn't getting some great massage. It was a half assed lazy massage of gentle stroking while she talked to her neighbor in another language. I am on my feet all day at work sooo this could've been really nice for me...but it was worthless. The color and appearance of my nails I have no complaints...they painted them nicely. Then my total was $65...which I find to be ridiculous for the experience. She charged an extra $15 for my 15 minute massage...if it had been a great effort I wouldn't mind paying $15 but a pedicure is $22 and includes the basic massage I wouldn't been happier keeping my HARD EARNED money instead. My chair massage was never turned on. Turned out I had a 20% coupon for the wrong salon...maybe the effort was lacking because I said I had a coupon up front. Then, because I'm not an asshole I gave them a tip they didn't deserve. $5 each. My total being $75 for an overall unrelaxing experience as my cuticles were being cut painfully, my arm being contorted across my body, no chair massage, and a half ass $15 upgrade massage. I'll just paint my nails in the future and save them the hassle of giving the "finest" experience. Oh but they were nice enough to tell me in the future there is a coupon that would've made my total cheaper (good customer service would've offered it to keep a customer) and they offered me a $5 coupon for next time...any one want it? read more

I have been to Finest Nails 3 times for pedicures. I will never go there again! Worst service I have ever received. Two of the three times my nails were ruined before ever leaving the salon. All they care about is getting you out so they can get money from the next person. They never let your nails dry at all. As soon as the last coat of polish is on, they want you out the door. They even leave the tissue between your toes and put your flip flops on with the tissue still between your toes. DON'T GO THERE unless you just want to throw your money away! read more

I am so happy to have found a good nail salon next to our new home! I was so worried when we moved that I would have to go through a difficult process of testing out new salons until I found the right one but I happened to walk into the right one right away! The first time I got acrylics because my nails kept breaking. They did a great job but I instantly regretted getting them (they are so bothersome!) That time I got the Spa Pedicure (for an extra $18) that includes "Cooling Gel", a 10 minute massage, and callus remover. The next time I came in I did not opt for that option. I found that the "cooling gel" was useless - what's the point of it? The 10 minute massage was a little over 10 minutes but she basically just rubbed my legs and did not really massage them hard at all. BUT I am still giving them 5 stars because they do an excellent job and really take their time. I recently got a shelac mani and a regular pedicure and they did an amazing job. I guess you just have to know how to say no to them when they try to upsell you with their little menu (The first time I spent $76!). The ladies here are all pleasant as well and they do not seem to gossip much if at all :) read more

Very disappointed in this place. Poor quality and poor customer service. Got my nails done 2 days ago (dipping), next day one of my nails broke off so I went in right when this opened this AM to fix. It was completely empty, the woman said this would only take 5 minutes but I would have to wait for the next employee to come in because she already had an appointment. There was NO ONE there and it would only take 5 minutes - her appointment was late, so why couldn't she fix? Very insulted considering they are at fault for doing a poor job and couldn't be bothered with me. Will definitely go back to VIP nails moving forward. read more

I have been going to Finest Nails for over seven years. The Girls have always been very Professional and Polite. The only problem I have is when rude moms come in with their little kids and let them run all over the place. Its not the Spa's job to control your Kids. I go to the spa to have down time and relax. CeCe, Kathy,Holly,Van, Cindy, are all very good at what they do. The recent upgrades are nice as well , as is making sure everything is sanitary. My nails have to be waterproofed , as I do water therapy everyday, Kathy and the Girls make sure this is done properly as well. My only request would be to have one day a week for kids day. I went in today to get a spa pedicure & a manicure with gel polish. My pedicure was done by one of the girls that works there & my toes look great! My manicure was honestly a nightmare! It was done by an older man that works there. He took forever to complete by manicure the first time. When he finally finished I told him I liked the color I chose but my manicure looked horrible. I had polish all over my fingers. He filed my nails down to nothing in the process. The polish was covering my cuticles & uneven. He was not happy & said it looked horrible because the color I chose was old & almost running out. He didn't tell me that before he started & I honestly think that was his way of not admitting he didn't do a good job. I gave him the opportunity to make it right by agreeing to his suggestion to have the gel polish removed & choose another color. He used the electric file/drill tool to remove the polish. In the process, he sliced my cuticles & filed my nails even shorter. My fingers were raw & burning at this point. He applied the new color the same way as the first color...all over my fingers & cuticles. I was there for 2 hours & extremely unhappy. When he finished, he said he would only charge me $20 for the manicure because I was there for so long. I told him I was paying $0 because I was there for so long AND my manicure was horrible & my fingers were raw & burning. He started to get upset but the manager stepped in. She looked at my hands & completely agreed that they were horrible. She offered to have someone fix them but I explained my fingers hurt & besides that, I hardly had any nails to polish because he filed them down so low. She apologized & gave me a gift certificate for another manicure, which I completely appreciated, however, she still charged me $22 for my pedicure. I shouldn't have paid a dime & am upset about that. Let me know if anyone wants a free manicure...I will give you my gift certificate as I will never go back. I wish I would have asked to see a copy of his license while I was there. I thought they had to be displayed but I didn't see it anywhere. Ps. When I was there another customer came in to have her nails redone because the same man did hers the day before & she was unhappy. She refused to have him fix them & insisted someone else do it. read more

Came here with a coupon from the Ladera coupon booklet, $40 for a gel manicure and pedicure (otherwise, price would have been $52-$22 for the pedicure, $30 for the gel). Went in with no appointment and was seated right away. A gentleman and woman helped me out and they were wonderful. Very polite and friendly. I normally go to a different nail salon in Orange, but because I didn't have the time to drive that far, I tried Finest Nails.
