I went to Dublin Auto care with a check engine light on my 2015 Sienna. I had a diag code and…read moresuspected spark plugs needed to be replaced. They gave me a days time. They ended up scaring me about engine mounts falling apart and a wheel controller joint breaking any time. Basically normal wear and tear but they made it sound like emergency repair. They pointed out an oil leak I was aware of and asked them to take care of that. Here is what happened: They took 3 days for spark plugs and $1k Replaced leaking valve cover gasket for $250 When I picked up the car it wouldn't start as they had screwed up the battery terminal and initially lied that they didn't touch the battery terminal. Anyways, I had to replace it myself in the end. After I left within 24 hours my tpms shows low air pressure in the tires but there is actually air in all tires with adequate pressure.i got it checked a few times. Within 7 days I saw a lot of oil in my garage from the car. I didn't get a warning but my oil dip stick showed almost no oil. I had to put in 6 quarts. I don't know what more leaks they have caused. It's a terrible place to go and they are incompetent and dishonest!

We took her car to multiple auto shops and they all said that the code scanner did not come back with any error and when they test drove it it drove fine. A friend of ours recommended us to take the car to Sun Auto Service. We spoke with Shawn and he was able to take us in right away. Him and his team was the only shop that's been able to diagnose the issue. He ended up replacing the crankshaft sensor. The car has been driving perfectly ever since with no issues. I took my Toyota OEM upper and lower control arms along with a set of 8 Toyota OEM bushings (super expensive). The old weathered old bushings were taken out and the new ones installed the same day. Later that evening, PG&E confirmed that our furnace had failed and was releasing carbon monoxide into our home. The next morning, I began calling HVAC contractors. None of the nine companies I contacted could help for at least a week. Fortunately, a friend from my daughter's school referred me to Jose. He answered on the second ring, immediately understood the issue, and told me his Vice President would be at my house within the hour. Just 30 minutes later, Rudy arrived and quickly confirmed the diagnosis with his equipment. Jose immediately recognized the urgency of the situation. Not only were we without heat in freezing temperatures, but our family was also at risk of further carbon monoxide exposure. By 5:00 p.m. that same day, Air Flow Pros had sourced and delivered a new furnace, assembled a six-person crew, and begun removing the old unit. By 8:00 p.m., the new furnace was professionally installed, the work area was spotless, and our home was once again warm and safe. The service was truly outstanding. Air Flow Pros delivered a high-quality product at a fair price and completed the entire job within eight hours of my initial call. I couldn't be happier and would recommend them without hesitation.

The new refrigerant line install looks very clean and inconspicuous against the side of the house (I couldn't even tell it was there without Jose sending me photos later on of where it was placed). Stephen has taken care of our personal vehicles and our 5 vehicle work fleet for many years now. He has worked on our Hondas, Toyotas, Fords, Chevys and Isuzus. He does great work, guarantees it, yet charges less than the local shops and certainly less than the dealerships. A big plus is that he does the work at your location so you do not have to drop the vehicle off at the shop and arrange rides. He does a great job of explaining and showing what needs to be done and why, and keeps you informed of what the parts and repairs will cost. He is a professionally trained mechanic and used to work for Mercedes before going independent so he really knows his cars, and can competently work on wide range of vehicles. I don't think you will find a more honest or reliable mechanic to work on your vehicle. He has saved us a lot of headaches and money over the years when it comes to car repairs. For example, I took one of my cars to the tire store to get new tires and they said the car needed brakes. I bought the tires but let Stephen look at the brakes, and he said the fronts were at 50% life and the rear at 70% life and that they really did not need to be replaced quite yet. I ended up going another 20,000 miles on the front brakes, and 40,000 miles on the rear brakes before replacing them. read more

Who can you call when there's no other mechanic that can fix your 1963 Amphicar? You call Steven at Finish Line Performance. Steven had never worked on an Amphicar before (not many left) and I had major "squawks" with the cooling system, carburetor, instruments, brakes, wheel alignment, electrical system and we had a date set to "swim" the car (within two weeks). This is what separates Steven from all the rest. He studied the problems (squawks) researched the Amphicar, and when he arrived onsite he had the tools, parts, and a solution for all of the many squawks. We did make the road test and the Amphicar did swim, thanks you Steven. He now works on all of my vehicles. Steven has great knowledge; he is a master mechanic, very skilled and is thorough in diagnosing the cause, resulting in a fix the first time. He likes his work and he likes a good challenge. Steven is a five stars + guy and I would highly recommend him even if you don't have an Amphicar. read more

I can't recommend him more highly, particularly as he was even willing to work on my English Patient -my 1972 MGB-GT! You won't find a more honest, competent mechanic who takes pride in is work and is always helpful and informative. Makes one remember the good old days. And what I was not expecting is to hear Larry tell me me that the fix was too minor and he wouldn't accept any payment. Having read the other reviews, I asked for pricing of oil changes, etc. and honestly, it's really not too much. Think about it, you are sitting comfortably on your couch in the safety of your home and don't have to go anywhere and risk a COVID infection. That's worth the extra few bucks. Think again, if the car isn't starting, you would have to get it towed to the auto repair shop. That's definitely more expensive than those few extra bucks. Next time the car needs a fix, I am calling Larry again. Period.
