This place was recommended to me by a friend since I needed a repair on my Rolex. Within a week I had my watch returned to me not only being repaired, but almost looking brand new! With fine pieces like these it can take MONTHS for them to be returned/repaired by authorized dealers like Tourneau where I purchased it. I highly recommend Finley's Jewelers, I brought my Omega watch into Finley's and they replaced the movement and battery and to have the watch cleaned. They did a wonderful job and it was done in a timely manner. I also brought in a ring that belonged to my father that passed away and wanted to see if they could resize it, to fit my hand. I was blown away at the craftsmanship and care that they took with the ring, it came out so beautifully and fit my finger perfectly, they cleaned the ring and even reinforced the turquoise stone that was on the ring. Jeremy and Oscar made me feel like I was apart of their family and took care of my ring and watch with such care, from now on, I will only bring my jewelry to Finley's and have it cleaned and taken care of by them. I went to a watch store in the Delamo mall and they wanted $50 to replace the battery on my watch. I called in and asked how much it was for a battery replacement. They told me over the phone it's $20 and it only takes five minutes. The staff was friendly and I was in and out in five minutes. Glad to see they're still honest businesses around. read more

I'm not a high paying client of theirs by any means, but they're so professional about every transaction. Little tip, they have their own parking lot in the back. WARNING!! Zero stars. Do not go to this establishment. Very poor customer service. Went to sell some gold and spend money on a new piece. They shipped my jewelry to South Bay Gold To have it evaluated Because that's who owns Finley's. I didn't know this when I turned my stuff to them. Spending hours trying to get it back after the price they gave me was exceptionably low. Keep giving me the run around. Never apologized. I asked for all of my stones back. Never got them. Spent hours at Finley's AND South Bay Gold. I STILL don't have my belongings And I didn't take a dime of the crap amount they kept trying to get me to take. They never called me back even though I called them twice. This place is a sham. Basically a shady pawn shop Masquerading as an upscale shop In the Riviera. Customer service is not a thing to them. its run by a brother/sister duo. Bridget was at least polite, but DONT let that fool you. They want your gold and your money. They truly didn't care that my jewelry was essentially stolen from me. shame on them. So disappointing that a business like this exists in Redondo Beach. Going to South Bay Gold with the police should they STILL be 'unable' to open the safe. Apparently no one can get ahold of the owner of the shop. read more

Pauline was extremely rude. I have been a customer of Finley's for years and today she dismissed me and hung up on me. I have had multiple calls to pick up repaired jewelry and appraisal paperwork and no one has followed through on calling me back to pick up ALL items at one time. I will not do business with this company going forward. Pauline, customer service should be top priority. Hanging up on a customer is beyond unprofessional. John was great and I am so thankful for his honesty and compassion! We purchased a ring from Pasha, MB and wanted an appraisal since that seller had not provided one and we had an un-easy feeling (see my full Yelp review for Pasha Fine Jewelry). John called me back and alerted me his diamond tester was only verifying a few natural diamonds. We ended up going to EGL labs downtown and received a refund from Pasha as they were, indeed, Lab Grown Diamonds! John felt bad for our experience and did not charge me for the appraisal - very generous as none of this was his doing. Very professional and kind! While we ultimately chose to return to the online store where my engagement ring was purchased, I would highly recommend Finley's, they've been in business in RB a long time and I'm glad they have survived the pandemic thus far! read more

I never was inside Finley's previous, larger space, just down the street. Jewelry doesn't interest me much. That's probably why I wear plastic Swatches and no other "jewelry" except my ear cuffs. So. The Swatch Store on the SaMo Promenade is closed now. Booooooo! It was my favorite place! I bought Swatches, had my Swatch batteries replaced, and had repairs done to my collection of vintage Swatches.....all at the 3rd Street store. Gone now. A few days ago my fave Swatch stopped ticking. It took a licking and finally stopped ticking......haha..... I wandered into Finley's this morning in search of a replacement battery. Wow.....Finley's is like a trip back in time, to days when the jewelers could be seen sitting under bright lights at their stations, wearing those magnifying "goggles", doing whatever mysterious tasks it is that gemologists do. I was fascinated. I'm betting that Finley's is a family operation, basing my guess on the charming lady who assisted me. Their biz card says they've been around since 1924, and that they not only sell jewelry, but they do repairs & appraisals. $16.95 for my new battery is more than I paid at the Swatch store, but I don't have to drive all the way to SaMo now, so it all works out. And I got to peruse Finley's collection of vintage watches while I was in the store. OK so maybe I do kinda like jewelry, especially watches. My life flashed before my eyes as I remembered wearing many of those old watches over the years. Egad, I must be vintage too........ I went to get a watch battery replaced today, and they told me it wasn't the battery, and I needed $140 worth of repairs. I went to Riviera Jewelers, and Sam replaced the battery for $15, and now the watch works just fine. Was it incompetence or dishonesty? read more

Whatever you, don't bring your watch there for batter replacement. My wife took my TAG watch in for a battery replacement. I've had the watch for 15 years and I know It needs a new battery every 2.5 years when it slows down. It's like clockwork! I live in Redondo Beach and love trying to support local business. These guys took the back off my watch and then told my wife there was a serious issue with the mechanism and they could fix it for $200. I called BS and they gave me the watch back refusing to put it back into working order. I took it elsewhere and got the the battery replaced for $45. Guess what, no mechanism issue. Based on my experience I would urge people not to trust this store! It seems that this approach could be just how they roll. If you look on google reviews there is an identical case to mine although if you read the review it seems that, that case ended with the police being called after some less than desirable behavior from the manager. read more

Be careful when it comes to valuations. I had been coming to their PV location for years. Trusting them, I took in a 1958 Rolex Submariner for valuation and possible sale. They hit me low, very low and tried to convince me that it was fake. I knew it wasn't and sent it to an expert in Florida and got three times what Finley's said it was worth. They say that they are Rolex experts and if they are, I question their honesty. Be careful! read more

I also left a review on their affiliate South Bay Gold and I had a terrible experience at both locations. Finley's redesigned my wedding ring and I hate it. They said they couldn't do what I wanted to do with a princess cut diamond and then I see that design in their store. It was very expensive and I can't afford to re-do it again. I'm not sure who I dealt at SB Gold with but it sounds like the same description as those who refer to him as Mike. He was rude and wouldn't stop talking, it felt like it was to distract you. He kept setting my gold aside and I wanted it near me and for good reason. I'm not sure if SB Gold is shady or just this guy but they should not employ such a person. He acted like a know-it-all but he didn't know it all. I was very uncomfortable and felt like he was nickle and diming me so I told him so and took my gold elsewhere. SB Gold told me my 18K was only 14K. Lie. Nice try though. Please read (on all reviews) the "currently not recommended reviews" - they are helpful as well. I just got engaged last week and my fiancé purchased my ring from Finley's. I am SO glad he did! We had been looking for the perfect ring (not something everyone has or could be seen at Jared's) and found a really beautiful, unique one there in June. (The best part is, it was a great price even compared to chain stores- so don't let the small business price fear keep you away.) Now, two days after he proposed I went for a walk on the esplanade. I looked at my hand after walking about 2 miles and noticed the entire middle of my ring was MISSING. It was horrifying. I looked everywhere for it for two hours before finally giving up. Luckily Finley's was just up the street so my fiancé and I went in there to talk to them right away. I was really sad and he was furious, understandably. From the moment we walked in they were incredibly apologetic and promised to fix the ring at no charge. They said it would take a week but would soon be good as new. My fiancé was still really upset since I would be ring-less for the next week and we left feeling horrible about the whole thing. So why am I giving a 5 star review? WELL we receive a call from Katrina about an hour after leaving. She tells us that she immediately went to their sister store and they had the parts to fix it TODAY by 5pm. It turns out they had designed some pendants to match the style of my ring that would fit so they put a rush on it. AND upgraded the center diamond for the trouble. They also reenforced it so something like this would never happen again. (Note: The ring was purchased from a designer and since it was so unique and different it wasn't their fault that the initial design was faulty.) I am now a die-hard customer/ fan of Finley's. My parents have used them my entire life and I know I will get my wedding bands and every other piece of jewelry I need from them. Thank you Katrina for saving the day! :) read more

I'm sorry to report that Finley's no longer feels like it once did. I understand times are tough, but their friendliest salesman is no longer there and the in-house jewelry repair guy has left as well. I went in for repairs on two occasions in Oct/Nov 2020 and no one working in the store (there were 4-5 people there each time) were wearing masks. It's a fully enclosed shop with no air flow and it felt irresponsible and disrespectful. I stood at an obvious distance from the woman helping me at the time and she finally clued in, saying "Oh, sorry, do you want me to have a mask on?" I said yes (I was wearing one) at which point she loosely wrapped a scarf around her face. ?? Men were walking in and out of the back room, also all without masks. There were no gloves - people taking my jewelry and handing it straight back - it all made me very uncomfortable. I normally like Finley's for the service and convenience, but don't want to return any time soon after this experience. read more

Fantastic! Jeremy is by far the best person I've ever done business with. Talk about work ethic! He's honest, sincere, and so friendly. I wound up going to Finley's after dealing with South Bay Gold in Manhattan Beach, which is a nice store with friendly staff, too - but they suggested Finley's for what I had. I had a fine jewelry item of my aged mother's to sell, and he took me through the optimum steps of the process to where ultimately, after 3 months in which he obtained official certification (which yielded the highest rating he had hoped for, actually, so he was really happy about that) and shopped it around, I got the very most I felt I could get for it. I had gone to Tangible Investments down in Laguna Beach first - wound up with a lousy appraiser who panned the item, saying the "cut" was too "flat" - then I went to a wholesaler in downtown L.A. who said they took a 25% commission and I needed the cert. I went back to Jeremy in a jiffy, met with him for awhile in the store (he took lots of time to work on this!), and he went ahead and handled the cert. and even apologized for it taking longer than he thought it would! He sold it to a wholesaler in the downtown diamond district, and told me the wholesaler said the flat cut was a vintage Russian cut, and it was now in vogue these days, in fact. Everything worked out, and I'm indebted to Jeremy. You go guy!! read more
