I came in here on 8/6/21 and met Gary who was so sweet! I asked if he could turn my dad's gold wedding band into two smaller rings I could wear. After saying he could do this and taking my measurements, I left with a receipt and was told it would take 7 to 10 days. Fast forward to 8/16/21 when I called and received no response. I tried calling two more times that day and decided to stop by to see if he was busy and wasn't answering calls. Despite having times posted on the door that they were open, no one was there. No one answered my calls. Since I live pretty close, I stopped by today 8/17/21 around 11:45 am. It was still closed despite the times saying they were open. Again, no one answered my calls. I'm worried I may never see my rings and I'm so sad given that they were my father's. May need to report them but I'm hoping there's a reasonable explanation. read more

I had to take my three squirrelly children in with me, with explicit instructions to not touch anything, which is always nervewracking! However, Gary was so great with them and showed them gemstones and answered questions and it made the whole experience not so stressful for me. He did great work on the ring and the necklace, and I feel the pricing was very good too for the work. Absolutely impeccable work. I had a delicate designer necklace that I wanted to have engraved for a friend. Another jeweler told me it couldn't be done. Enter Beach Cities Jewelers. Not only did their highly skilled jeweler (I feel awful that I can't remember his name because he was awesome) tell me that it could be done, he suggested engraving in such a way that it enhanced the meaning of the words. He took the necklace, gave me a ticket for it, then called a few days later for me to pick it up. He ended up doing it by hand and it was PERFECT. My friend absolutely loved it. I went in to have a ring resized and had a good idea of what size I needed the ring adjusted to. However, Gary suggested a smaller size due to the width of the band. I was reluctant but figured Gary is the expert. When I came to pick up the ring, it was obvious that the ring was too small and I was mislead. While Gary was nice and had good intentions, I am disappointed with the end result. I'll be seeking out a different jeweler to see if I can have the ring resized again to the correct size. read more

I brought several of my girlfriend's watches for repair, new batteries, and polishing. Gary fixed the watch she thought was unfixable and slightly damaged by a different shop.
