They gave me the wrong buzzer and food took a long time to prepare, they gave free ketchup and salt packets though.

They've got a solid variety of Alaska brews on tap, way more than your average spot, so it's easy to try something new or stick with a favorite. Food is decent across the board, nothing overly fancy, but it hits the spot and pairs well with the beer. Think reliable bar food done right. Just make sure you dodge all the homeless when walking around downtown.

We started eating within 2-3 minutes of walking out the door, but it was practically inedible. The fish and fries were incredibly laden with oil; just heavy, greasy, and completely unseasoned. Ratio of breading to fish was 50/50, so you get a little gipped on the actual fish. Everything desperately needed salt at minimum. To make matters worse, they send it with their berry tartar sauce, which is an absolute crime in all 50 states. We specifically requested regular tartar sauce and were given plain mayonnaise instead. None of our other requested condiments, like ketchup, were supplied either. Service for the limited time I interacted with her, was average. She was easy going, but not particularly warm or engaging. While the portions were fine, $35 for a meal that we tossed out after 2-3 bites is incredibly frustrating. I hate wasting money and fresh seafood, but it was just that bad.

Midnight Sun is tucked away and a bit off the beaten path and is literally just among warehouses. I love me a veggie and pesto sandwich, but mine needed balsamic or something to make it taste less dry. I also thing it being "panini style" on focaccia bread is a mistake because the bread was crumbly and I wonder if they have it on focaccia to differentiate it from the other sandwiches *shrug* My wife loved her pork sandwich the "Sweet Cheeks". If we're ever back in alaska, we'll return. How has this place been around 30 years? One of their anniversary brews said that. Craft beer was a thing in Alaska in the 90s?

Enough to keep seeking new ones out but even then that wouldn't last too terribly long and especially if I lived there. Midnight Sun Brewing is one of the Alaskan ones I tried a while back and I felt that the beer I had was very solid and enjoyable. In fact Alaska in general thus far I have enjoyed the breweries there considerably. The beer I had from this brewery was the Panty Peeler which is a Belgian Tripel. A good beer for sure and is a good pairing with fish and chips or a burger. Flavor highlights with this beer are sweet, strong and fruity but all in a well balanced way. The beer goes down smooth and is light bodied. A good beer to start for me with this brewery. I'd loved to try more of their beer options. Love the brewery's swag and have a t-shirt or two and would love to score a hoodie that I had my eye on but it was out of stock so I'll try back later.

I can't say enough good things about the brewery…read more I absolutely love their beers. The owner does a really good job creating local ingredients. And working with the community. I have absolutely enjoyed every time. I have come in and love getting their sour starter pack of bottles. It's a great variety of what they have to offer with some of their greats! The high bush cranberry that they have currently is just fantastic. I know that they just came out with a white stout which they do every year and it's delicious. I haven't had this year but I can tell you from years previously it's one of the best beers of the winter. The place is clean and well kept with a beautiful sitting area upstairs and some fantastic chairs downstairs great place to come sit hang out and enjoy yourself. Did you get food trucks from time to time. Honestly, just talking with the owner makes me so happy and going to any of the events that they have to offer is such a learning experience. If you want to learn about beer, this is definitely a place to come hang out.
