Been here a few times during Happy Hour and I have to admit that I think Finney's Happy Hour specials are one of the best in Santa Clarita. Another bonus is that I've never had to wait for a table during this timeframe so coming here every once in a while to indulge in Bavarian pretzels as an after school snack with my kiddo makes sense and my son raves about their truffle burger and onion rings. I like to order their chicken and waffles. They also have a great selection of craft beer on tap and their regular menu has a lot of options, there's something for everyone. I'm glad we have a Finney's in the area... the vibe is chill but it can also get a tad loud, which I don't mind. There are lots of TVs throughout the restaurant, not just at the bar, and music blasts over the speakers. I had the cheesesteak sandwich and enjoyed the first few bites. Then I bit into a really fatty piece of steak. I had to spit it out. The next bite was just fat and I spit that out as well. I was also disappointed with the waiter who rudely interrupted our conversation. He just walked up to our table and started talking over me as I was in mid-sentence. We used to visit the Burbank and Porter Ranch locations often, so we were really happy when one opened in our neighborhood. We've been here about four times now. Since it's a chain, we expected the food to be consistent, especially because we always order the same items no matter which location we go to. Unfortunately, this location has been hit or miss. The food here tends to be overcooked, and sometimes there's a noticeable burnt flavor, which has been disappointing. I've been to Finney's Crafthouse three times now, so thought I could give an honest review. Each experience has been seamless and the food has been probably an 8+ out of 10. The service has been above average and the ambiance is good for what you would expect . If you're a sports fan (which I definitely am!) it's a cool place to watch a Dodger game, or whatever sports season it is. Our server, whose name I unfortunately cannot recall, was very friendly and charismatic. Our food and drinks came right out promptly, and they were all very tasty. I came because I wanted to watch a championship football game of Rams Vs Seahawks while enjoying great food and amazing cocktails, I find myself watching said game with no volume at all. Music is blasting with mixed genres, there's numerous TV's with the game on but no volume. I was told by stuff that "it's not a big game" and the Super Bowl most likely will not be played with volume. I'm thinking that I should've gone to Schooner's instead, they understand people go to watch the game over drinks and good food. I'm writing to express my disappointment with my recent dining experience. I attended a lunch party of 7, and while the rest of the table received and ate their meals, 2 of our meals did not arrive until about 15 minutes after everyone else had already been served and started eating. During that time, no one acknowledged the delay, checked in, or apologized, even though it was obvious the rest of the table was already finished or close to finished. When my salmon finally arrived, it was raw inside after the long wait. I informed the server, and she took it back. At that point, I was so hungry and frustrated that I even asked if I could just keep the salad and leave the fish, since I had already cut into it and didn't want to wait even longer. Instead, the same fish was brought back about 10 minutes later, clearly cut in half and now overcooked. When I asked what I assumed was the manager if this was the same fish I had sent back, he said no, even though it was obvious it was the same piece of fish. I ended up saying "it's fine, I'm so hungry, I'll just eat it" because I had already waited so long. What made the experience even more disappointing was that no one sincerely apologized, no effort was made to correct the situation properly, and nothing was comped despite the poor service, excessive wait, and receiving undercooked food. This was an extremely frustrating experience, especially during what was bbsupposed to be an enjoyable lunch outing. Stumbled on this place and happy we did. It's located in a huge strip mall area where Walmart/Ross/Marshalls/5 below is. Set apart from it though in it's own building across the way. We saw the dinner crowd and the wait was 45 min-we said no problem we'll go shop a little. 45 minutes flew by if it even was a whole 45. We weren't picking for seating so we got put outside and actually preferred it since the slight breeze and temps were so nice. I ordered a Cobb salad and a Raspberry Smash. The drink, sad to say was very blah. Super weak in flavor and color. Couldn't hardly taste any alcohol and couldn't taste any raspberry except for the two on top of the drink. And it hinted at lemon. Skip that one. As soon as he set it down I was leery as the other two drinks ordered from our party. looked so good in color and they said they were flavorful. I don't like to give negative comments but I had to on this one. But the Cobb redeemed them. Everything about it was fantastic even the blue cheese. I'm not a huge blue cheese fan as it can overpower a dish so upon getting it I took most of it off. But after the first bite I put it all back on because of how mild and creamy it was. Today was my first time at any Finneys and I was highly impressed especially with their customer service. The sweet red headed hostess asked if we preferred in or outside and were immediately seated. Ethan was our waiter, he had great suggestions and was very sweet also. Even other staff members were willing to help each other out all while being friendly and with a smile. The food was amazing! I had the grilled chicken sandwich added avocado, onion rings, sweet potato fries and brussel sprouts. Even their Root beer didn't get watered down by the ice. Even the pepperoni on my son's pizza is burnt. The waiter told me that it's because it's the cup pepperoni. Which there's a way to cook it without burning it. He did offer to fix the burger. He even said that's not medium. But we were hungry. I said it's ok. I was already half way into it. The place is nice looking. Maybe I will give this location another chance. I always hang out at the bar area because it's the quickest way to get a seat fast for a small party. Everyone is so nice here, especially my favorite bartender Eddy. Took advantage of being home early enough to partake in their happy hour I don't know if happy hour menu items are the same size or quality as regular menu items we ordered buffalo cauliflower, coconut shrimp, steak taquitos and chicken and waffles. Regular menu describes Tri tip- maybe HH version is different because of the price point? They were filled with a pastey substance and I couldn't not tell you what it was. Order came with three- we each ate one and left the third Cauliflower had a light thinner batter which I appreciated and they were easy to eat smaller pieces. After a long day at Six Flags, we were in need of a solid meal. Little did we know we were about to take our taste buds on a Rollercoaster of their own! This is a large crafthouse with huge tables, great for large parties or group dinners. The place was bustling for a Monday evening, but the staff were cool as Autumn breeze and we were quickly served and checked on multiple times throughout the meal. The food here is INCREDIBLE. Everything is made in house from scratch.. even down to their tater tors, herb ketchup, and Nashville hot ranch. Honestly, every thing was so fresh and beautifully crafted; I would've expected the costs to be so much higher for the quality of their food (but please don't raise your prices!!) We got a few dishes to split: Nashville Boneless Wings with Ranch & Blue Cheese. These were not the Tyson chicken strips tossed in a store-bought bottle of sauce. these were large chunks of chicken, hand breaded and perfectly fried then carefully tossed in their home made sauce.. with just enough heat that the dunking of creamy ranch was a perfect balance. We got the seared Ahi salad (ahi on the side) and this was a massive dish that was so refreshing and filling. The freshly cut vegetables and miso vinaigrette were so carefully balanced that each bite was fantastic. I don't eat fish but the Ahi was a very generous portion and my friends absolutely devoured it, so there were no complaints there! Finally we split the Tri Tip sandwich and added a large basket of tots. (dish comes with house fried potato chips) This was also a huge dish made with fresh ingredients. There was either a garlic or horseradish spread on the sandwich that I wish had a slightly more present taste, but overall, there was a generous potion of meat and the dish was amazing. One of out favorite items was actually the tater tots!! I make them at home from the same frozen bag that I'm sure 99% of you do, too.. so I forgot what a fresh tot could or should taste like!!! Actual potatoes, hand breaded, delicately fried... you can absolutely tell the difference, and now my normal tots have been spoiled. This place is also a craft house, meaning they have a large selection of house-made beers along with major names. We didn't try any of them this time - but we saw a lot of happy people in the bar!! Our server mentioned that the bar tenders press their own juice each day to be used in their cocktails, so I can only imagine how good they will taste. We are locals and made this our second choice as we tried to go to a competitor and they was a 30 to 45 minute wait. This is some constructive criticism and hopefully upper management will take heat to this as it is a consistent factor why we do not visit often. Upon entering the host and hostess were not very inviting. No smiles as if this was a part-time job. Both were in a conversation amongst themselves and did not display a welcoming "guest come first" greeting. Our server was very pleasant and very patient with us and took our drinks and order in a timely manner. However, the server that brought out our meal was forgetful in the sense that I had asked for a side and he neglected to bring it, which caused the delay in us consuming our meal. When the waitress checked in, I explained we are still waiting for our side and she seem to know that this other server was forgetful and promptly brought out our side. As I was viewing the flow of people coming, there was very a little welcoming culture. It was Friday night so it was packed and super busy but we did not wait long to be seated. Our waiter was amazing and helpful. The food was amazing as well. We decided to just get the appetizers & snacks, which filed us up with just 3 different ones. My boyfriend really loved the Nashville sliders. I enjoyed the avocado egg rolls. Definitely don't go out of your way though since there is always a 45 min wait. Not good for a date if waiting is a problem.
