All were phenomenal. The dark chocolate mousse was the best. It's a bit of a drive from where I live but worth it. Babylon village doesn't have pastries like this anymore. The two times I've been there, the customers are rude! They just walk through the door and cut in front of you....amazing! After the second time, I mentioned to the staff that they must say something to rude customers about who was before who. I know if I said anything, there would have been an argument, no doubt. As far as the quality of baked goods, it seems to me for cookies and cakes - A Rise Above is the place, for pastries - you can't beat Reinwalds on the weekend. This bakery has quickly become one of my favorite places. Despite the large number of bakeries on Long Island, it is hard to find a good ham and cheese croissant, quiche, or savory pastries in general. So far I have tried the bacon and cheese croissant, ham and cheese croissant and the regular cheese croissant. All are wonderful, flaky and have TONS of cheese on them which is a big plus in my book. In addition to the croissants, the frenagels are fucking amazing and are originally what drew me to find this place. All of the flavors are good but the everything one with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, salt, and whipped scallion cream cheese is my favorite. My stomach starts grumbling just thinking about the seasoned layers of croissant pastry with fresh cream cheese, it truly is an amazing thing. If you still have room after all of the awesome breakfast pastries, I also recommend the key lime and lemon meringue pies. They also have gelato here which is ridiculously dangerous, I would seriously become a whale if I lived closer to this spot. read more

Easily the best pastry shop around!! Everything is top notch especially the almond croissants, their signature "Frenagels," and cakes. They can get a little particular in terms of mixing and matching Frenagels with cream cheeses but super good overall. this bakery has the most INCREDIBLE desserts and pastries. if you want to wow whatever person/party you are hosting, this is the place to go. it'll make you look like a rockstar. breakfast goods: i love the chocolate croissants and plain croissants. they're unbelievably flaky and buttery - unlike any others i have ever had. the cronuts are great too; its a cross between a croissant and shaped/iced like a donut. the samoa cronut was delicious. also, the milano cookies are equally delicious. cakes: ive tried the strawberry shortcake, carrot cake, cannoli cake,and many more - they're all amazing. you could see the effort and attention put into the creation of each item. the mini cakes for one person are great as well. they come in the same flavors that the regular-sized cakes come in ($5 each). however, rather than placing the cake on a little golden cardboard disk like other bakeries might do, the mini cakes at fiorello come on a chocolate-iced butter cookie. how INGENIOUS! imagine finishing your cake and then realizing that the plate it's served on is another dessert! to be honest, sometimes i rush through eating the cake to get to the cookie. tarts: the fruit tart is phenomenal! i love fruit tarts and i used to think fairway/reinwalds had a pretty good tart but this past fathers day, I had a fruit tart from fiorello and everyone at the bbq, including me, was amazed at how good their version was. the crisp tart shell + a middle layer of almond paste (that's what we guessed it to be) + a beautifully glazed topping of fruit put everyone in dessert paradise. that middle layer of almond paste, or whatever it was (don't really care either, just as long as i got more of it!), just sent this fruit tart over the edge. Costumer service was incredibly rude, almost as if they are successful enough they don't need to assist any new customers. I called to ask a question about their frenagles (which are gross btw) and was hung up on. I find this terribly offensive please don't support this rude establishment. Read about this place in an earlier Yelp review and since the reviews were all outstanding and Bakery is close to my home we tried it. A little pricey but worth every penny. I had heard great things so I was eager to try this place out. Gotta basic cinnamon role that was pretty solid. HOWEVER, when I received my dish it was covered in filth that was definitely not related to the cinnamon role. I have never seen something that disgusted me this much. I heard they recently let go of one of their dish washers and it obviously shows. They should put more care in to hiring and keeping quality dish washing staff aboard. read more

A few years back I went to this bakery, top notch at the time (I was told) and had a great experience eating some delicious canolis. You know how these things go. You can't just eat a great canoli once and forget it exists forever. One morning I woke up and said "I just NEED to have another one of those God (expletive) canolis again!" So I get dressed and head over to Fiorello Dolce and what do I get? A dirty plate. Apparently they just didn't take care in washing their dishes like they once did. I suggest they hire some nice THOROUGH dish washers, not these young kids who probably throw it in the sanitizer and think they're done. It's okay though.
