Mushy cannoli, tasteless and bland tiramisu, adequate Napoleon.
    Erin C.

As an avid baker, and sweets connoisseur, I'm always looking to find new bakeries or home bakers that elevate what I can do myself **I'm looking at you The Egg Suite, The Crumb Picker, and Elisa's Niece's Cafe**and I was really looking forward to trying this bakery. Well let me just say that this was an atrocious experience from start to finish. I will NEVER return to this bakery. The girl helping me didn't know if the tiramisu was made with mascarpone or whipped cream or if the Napoleon had pastry cream, custard, or whipped cream. Usually you can tell by looking and that should've been my first sign that something was off. I just assumed that she was new and she was super sweet and apologetic so I forged on. I ordered an Italian cheesecake, cannoli, a single serve tiramisu, and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was soft and a little chewy and the quality of the chocolate was on point. When I opened the box that the cheesecake was in, it was filled with a viscous brown fluid that in my 5 minute drive home had actually accumulated enough to soak through the cardboard bakery box. I immediately knew that either there was too much butter in the crust, there was a water bath issue, meaning the crust was not properly sealed against the water bath or the water level was too high, OR, the cake was old and prolonged refrigeration was the culprit. I brought the cake right back and quietly showed the counter employee the issue...there were customers in the store and I was not looking to draw attention to this issue. The worker was appropriately apologetic and brought it to the back...and that's where everything quickly deteriorated. The owner came out accusing me of dropping the cake, which didn't happen and also had nothing to do with all the oozing brown goo, and then proceeded to insult and demean me in front of the other customers. He said I "obviously wasn't Italian" and therefore "didn't know anything about Italian cheesecakes." When I shared that I was actually born in Italy he quickly shifted to degrading the region my family and I are from. He then said "oh do you make cheesecake every day like we do because if you don't, you don't get to have an opinion." He went on and on while I just continued to request a refund for the defective item. To be fair and transparent, I would've probably overlooked the dripping crust if the cheesecake tasted amazing but it tasted like it had spent a few days too long in the fridge. These days spending close to $40 for a small cake is somewhat of a luxury. I appreciate all of the bakeries and home bakers who are persevering in this difficult economy and continuing to produce quality products. I absolutely understand that nothing is perfect and mistakes happen and when I'm at fault, I take responsibly and hold myself accountable. I do not yell, demean, and insult customers like this owner did. There are too many wonderful bakeries and home bakers that stand behind their goods and deserve your patronage and hard earned money. This establishment is NOT one of the them. As multiple other reviews have stated, it seems that when things are good they're good but when they are bad, this owner is rude and takes no accountability. I do wonder if he would've spoken to my husband in the same manner that he spoke to me but we'll never know because no one I know will ever step foot in this establishment again. Also, the cannoli shells were totally soggy on the bottom. A true Italian bakery would fill individually per order.

We had a 12" Tiramisu cake for my daughter's 30th birthday party. Everyone raved about the cake and said it was the best cake they've ever tasted. Initially, we thought the cake was too large but by the end of the party, there was hardly any left. Thank you Fiorello for being the best around!

Fiorello Dolce Patisserie offers a great selection of tasty treats. The strawberry cheesecake was my favorite. Definitely the best thing I've had here - so far. The berry fruit tart wasn't bad either. The store was clean and neat. As far as appearances go, these are gorgeous desserts. Solid choice.

Inspired by the New Year 25 cookies on their Facebook page asked if They could make a 30 cookie as a little take away for my daughter's 30th birthday dinner...very accommodating and they came out BEAUTIFU!

Let's start off with, the store it self feels like a small cafe in France! When we first walked in, the smell, the look of all the desserts was just out of this world. We were greeted instantly by a nice young man, who helped us right away! The frenagel I got was so light and delicious . I can't wait to try another one, I also live in Ronkonkoma, so it was worth the little drive! This place is amazing and when ever you can, get there to try out not only this frenagel but all their other yummy desserts!

Best bakery on Long Island for unique pastries for reasonable prices I believe it's 4.50 for each one of these mix between CROSSAINTS and bagel! :*O it's sooo good they put cream cheese for free. Tastier and less expensive than normal bagels now a days.

I literally bought one mini baguette, took a bite outside the store and walked right back in for 4 more. It is THAT good. Now it's important to note that I live at least 30 minutes away, and returned 3x since my first visit to try their breads. TBH, it doesn't even matter what you get! They are ALL the BEST versions of whatever bread it is! I literally walked out today with 6 loaves of bread and as a carb-a-holic, I am here to confirm that Duck Island has THE BEST bread in NY. Not only did these set me back $9 total, but were annoying to eat and not worth the cost at all. The minimal chocolate filling had sunken to the bottom and completely fused to the wrappers, and the muffins were very dry inside, not soft and fudgey like chocolate babka should be. Everything they have looks and sounds incredible, but the two muffins I got were very overpriced and not nearly good enough to be worth it. Additionally, the parking situation is a nightmare, with people parking in spots that don't exist in a lot that's already way too tight.

But when it comes to custom cakes, NO ONE is better than Agata! She is phenomenal! Not only does she make the most creative and artistic looking cakes, they are also UNBELIEVABLY delicious. So far my experience with Agata is that she can make any cake you want. I first came across her work after doing a Google search looking for someone who could bake me a Ferrero Rocher cake. I wanted it to be exactly like the chocolate, with the Nutella center and the crunchy wafer layer. NO BAKER I visited in person was able to do that. When I contacted Agata I expected her to say no too since so many people had. But I was positively surprised when she said she could do it. And not only did she do it, she did it PERFECTLY! Ever since then she has been my go-to person for cakes. And I have recommended her to everyone I know and they all love her! She is very affordable too!!! I feel so lucky to have found her. She even delivers the cake to our home because we are in Northport, just a few minutes away from Huntington Village where she is located. So if you need a cake, any cake, no matter how complex in shape, size, flavor or theme, Agata is your girl! Baking My Heart Out is by far the best cake bakery I have ever seen, even in Paris, Manhattan, and every famous city's bakery in between.

I have bought their frozen mozzarella sticks before; the flavor is perfect but unfortunately they fall apart a little too much. Anyway, the true gem of this bakery are it's baked goods. I highly recommend the loaves and muffins. So far, I've had the blueberry crumble, cinnamon crumb, corn, lemon poppy, and gingerbread loaves (the gingerbread is seasonal but they said they do special orders).
