The selection was a bit overwhelming, but ended up being fun as we met my wife's relatives who lived nearby, for pizza and drinks on a Friday night. As it so happens, our invitees lived close by but had never been here before, so it was the first time for everyone. Some helpful patrons helped us how to optimize. My wife opened a tab and received a card, which was placed above a tap to activate it. Any pours would go on the card, and prices varied across the drinks (e.g. Miller Lite was $0.28 per ounce while a beer like Bird Law Hazy IPA from New England was $0.76). One can easily create flights as well. There were plenty of beers that interested me, but couldn't keep track, and as of this moment (one week later), have no idea what I drank (it wasn't a lot, just enough to keep up with the others). We did order bar food (going on the same tab), all shareable, and it was decent. One were Italian Meatballs ($10), five pieces of from frozen but tasty meatballs, coming with five pieces of toasted bread rounds. Also got an order of Nachos ($13) which was recommended by the same helpful patrons: good with plenty of toppings (perhaps too much). A Bavarian Pretzel ($8) was a winner, especially dipped in the beer cheese. And the sausage pizza ($13) was definitely tavern style (though cut into pie shapes), with crumbled sausage underneath a thick layer of cheese...tasted like a really good frozen pizza prepared well. Made me miss Midwest bar food, especially at these prices. I also learned that I suck at pulling a pint...all mine were way too foamy and since you pay for any beer you pull, throwing away the foam was not a good idea.
