My grandfather brought home tons of BBQ from this place. I'm usually very picky about my pulled pork and I ate the entire pound of pulled pork own my own over a two day period. It was delicious! We came back a few days later with the rest of the family and everyone fell in love. The food is so delicious. They get you through the line quickly and they keep the establishment very clean. Went here the other day and had dinner. They were out of ribs but it was a little late. So the wife and I had chip pork, brisket, chicken and sausage. We had potato salad,mac n cheese. I stopped in with my family on our way to do some north Georgia sightseeing. The menu is easy to navigate and the staff is helpful and friendly. My wife ordered the chicken fingers. My kids and I all ordered pulled pork sandwiches. The sandwiches are e prepared for you as you wait. The chicken fingers arrive a few minutes later. My first imppression of the pulled pork was that it was a tad dry and the bun was cold. The Brunswick stew was very good. The French fries were undercooked. Don't know why it took us so long to try this place but I'm glad we finally did. They just pulled out a new still wrapped brisket when we stepped up to order. Good brisket is one of my weaknesses and this brisket is really good. No need for a knife it is perfectly cooked pull apart tender. Not over seasoned, just great beef flavor. This used to be my go to place for lunch. I'd typically get the Working Man special. The portions were so generous that there would be enough meat for 2 sandwiches. Not anymore. Not only have they raised prices but they've shrunk portions. Even the fries are no longer fresh cut but rather they are frozen. I doubt I will ever go back there again. read more

The brisket was great and the slaw and beans right in line. I ordered the hot and mild sauces with the food expecting mediocre hot sauce. It was very spicy and complimented the brisket. Used to be the BEST place for smoked meats, BBQ and southern sides-unfortunately all aspects of the business have gone downhill since the family sold to a new owner. Food quality and service are severely lacking and the new management doesn't seem to mind-clearly a focus on making money instead of the former focus on good food and friendly people. They used to cater to my office in Calhoun almost weekly and had a good pulled pork sandwich and mac and cheese for a fair price. I got to try the actual sit down restaurant several months after eating this for the first time and it was a nice upgrade over the catered versions I'd been eating. Wish I would have taken photos of our food in the restaurant but this is an example of the serving sizes. My husband got a 2 meat plate which included 1.5 slices of ice cold turkey & 1/2 cold sausage, he had to ask for his sides because the girl behind the counter threw the tray of meat up on the counter. I got the fry nachos which were cold and only came with cheese dip, chicken, & bbq sauce. My daughter got the stuffed baked potato which was so cold the cheese didn't even melt a little bit and the bbq pork was just as cold. Needless to say all the great reviews about this place are not legit! We went in at 6:30 on a Saturday night and only 1 table was filled, guess that should have been our first sign to turn around. Sucks that we spent almost $50 on food that was horrible. And to make matters worse...the staff is about unfriendly as they come, more concerned about playing on their phones then helping customers.
