As all my visits are random. Just picked a place felt like pasta and no expectations. Came in here I was the only person at this time around 1pm on a Saturday. Perfect! Had the place to myself. Service was amazing and very good looking. Ordered fettuccine Alfredo added shrimp. He tossed it in that huge cheese bowl. Melted the cheese into the noodles in front of me. Nice touch. Full bar. DRINKS! Amazing drinks. Got a fair buzz. The bean there done that (their version of the famous espresso martini!) delicious and woke me up. Just what I needed for my foggy brain. Fun cute, quaint, charming and on a corner of a busy street. I parked by the houses not sure if there's any other place to park (tight squeeze.) They have outside and inside places to sit. Televisions available. Nice breeze in Culver City my first time in this city driving around lead me here. Sometimes you just need a good drive to free your mind. Take care of your mental health. Came Friday because I saw the "Happy Hour 3:30pm - 6:30pm" sign outside but when I went in I was told that happy hour is only from Sunday to Thursday. So why is the sign outside? I decided to stay anyway since I was waiting for my husband to finish at the tattoo parlor down the street (highly recommend). I knew I was only there for a few glasses of wine anyway. The first waiter/bartender was amazing, great attitude and fast service. He brought me water along with my drink and came around multiple times to check if everything was ok or needed anything else. He went on his meal break and a new waitress clocked in. That's when it went downhill. There was one other table other than me in the patio and she didn't get up once to check on us for over 30 minutes, too busy on her phone with her headphones in (see photo). My glass was empty and I noticed she looked up at me but because I was reading she pretended not to notice. I eventually waved her down. Fellow foodie coworker and I stopped by to give this place a whirl. Over all the food was good. Funny enough we didn't try any of the pasta but the stromboli was good and she had the pizza. What were the down sides? I think pricing is a bit on the high side for what they're offering. Yes everything is expensive and i go to, and pay for, all kinds of food experiences and still thought pricing was high. My brothers and I came in very hungry and this was one of the few spots still open later at night for a sit-down meal. It's safe to say we made it worth their while by ordering so much food haha. The service was delightful, the ambiance was not bad, and the food was pretty delicious, especially the pastas. We even tried three of the desserts! Below is everything I tried: 5/5 - Verdi Calzone: personally, I think this is the best thing on the menu! A cheesy calzone filled with multiple veggie toppings and served with the delicious marinara sauce on the side. 3.5/5 - Fresca Pizza: It was very fresh tasting, but it wasn't very flavorful. I was a little disappointed since this was supposed to be an upgrade on their Margarita pizza, but now I'm not sure if I would even try the margarita. 5/5 - Arrabiata Pasta: my favorite pasta here for sure, it has a wonderful and flavorful spicy red sauce. Not too spicy, but it has a nice little kick. 4.5/5 - Fettuccini Alfredo Pasta: this was probably one of the best fettuccine alfredo pastas I've ever had. The sauce was very creamy, but it wasn't overpowering. (A bonus hack you can do if you want to add more flavor to a white sauce pasta, mixing some marinara and you get a delicious pink sauce!) 4.5/5 - Cheesecake: it has a nice rich texture but not too dense. This was my favorite dessert here, I would highly recommend it to every new one that likes cheesecake. 4/5 - Tiramisu: this is the most popular dessert, but I'm personally not a huge fan of most tiramisu desserts, especially ones that are heavy on the coffee/espresso flavoring (like this one), but my brothers enjoyed it. 3/5 - Creme Brulee: surprisingly the least popular of the three desserts for us, but nothing particularly wrong with it or very memorable. Just left this place, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The restaurant was empty, yet we stood in the lobby for nearly 10 minutes without anyone coming out to greet us or seat us. It was valentines day so I understand that service will be slow and everything. However our server forgot what we ordered and had to come back. Im not totally sure why he didnt just write it down-- other reviews mentioned they had issues with the same thing but I didnt believe it u til it happened to my girlfriend and I. The bread or pita bread -- whatever they were severing -- it came out at the same time as our Caesar salad which we again waited a long time for. It wasnt until the waiters saw me looking around that one of them pointed at my girlfriend and I and we were finally severed our salad and bread. The salad was good. The bread was hard though you could tell it had been sitting out. Overall I wouldnt go again and I would recommend you guys not to go. I thought the bad reviews were maybe a fluke -- THEY R NOT. They are written for a reason and I thought maybe they wouldve improved with the feedback but they have not. Listen to the reviews because they are truthful. Outside ambiance was fine. First off I will start by saying this spot has great customer service from the start we were greeted by an older man which took us to the outdoor seating which is very nice. This spot has a great variety of delicious foods to pick from such as pastas, pizzas, and salads which all looked very good. A few things I will point out is that it's a little pricey, the bruschetta was delicious but the bread under was very soft almost soggy it needed that crunch, the funghi pizza had some olives in it that were so strong almost sour which were good but it definitely needed less olives. Left dinner last night and fiance and I agreed - this could have easily been a 5 star meal had service been better. We came here last night for Valentine's Day and despite the food being wonderful, service was so slow & unorganized, which put a damper on our experience unfortunately. We arrived on time for our reservation and waited a few minutes at the hostess stand before someone came and escorted us to our table. Right away as we were seated, things were already unclear - there were 2 menus on the table, 1 of which was a prefixe menu for Valentine's Day, the other which was a normal menu. The server told us if we didn't order from the prefixe menu that each of us would still need to order 3-4 courses each from the regular menu. The server left before we could ask any questions and we were just a bit confused as there were several different categories of food on the main menu and we didn't know which categories we'd be required to order from. We tried to get someone's attention to ask questions and when we finally did get someone they said they didn't really know. Eventually our server came and we asked him to clarify and he told us that as a table we just needed to order $100 minimum worth of food. He took our order (he memorized it/didn't write it down) and when he repeated it back to us it was incorrect. Totally not a big deal at all, but I noticed throughout the night this happened to several other customers and it made me wonder why he didn't just write the orders down. Our food came out very slowly (the entire meal took us over 2 hours) but everything was delicious. The complimentary bread and oil were so flavorful! Unfortunately, there were many other moments throughout the night where service was lacking & the staff seemed so confused and disorganized. I found myself making eye contact with staff multiple times whenever I would need help with something and they would look at me, then look away. We had dirty plates stacked on our table and the server would come to wipe off the table right next to us but never bothered taking our plates. It took us SO long to get our check and when we flagged down the attention of staff to hand over our credit card, the server looked so confused. I completely understand that it was Valentine's Day and that the staff was probably overwhelmed, but toward the end of our meal when we were waiting for our check more than half of the inside of the restaurant was already empty. The workers were really nice though, and as someone who rarely complains about service or leaves a bad review for service, I felt compelled to share about my experience because it did really impact our meal. All in all - genuinely very delicious food, and if the service would improve this restaurant could easily be a 5/5. read more

I really wanted to like this place! We went here for Mother's Day, my decision after yelping best Napoliatano pizza. Culver City is close to where we live and they had pictures of a nice patio so it was perfect. We arrived around 4:30 and were the ONLY people in the restaurant. We left at 6:30 and there were only 2 other table of 2. Not a good sign. They did have an A in the window so that's always a good sign. Service was great! Food not so much. I ordered the bruschetta style pizza. It looked amazing but the crust was basically over cooked cheap mozzarella that formed a thick firm layer (think Costco cheese after its cold in the fridge for a day). This was topped with bruschetta which was good and a big piece of what was supposed to be nitrate cheees but seemed too firm so more likely a fresh mozzarella. I couldn't eat the pizza because the cheese crust was so salty. I tried peeling the cheese from the crust but that left me with nothing. The crust was super thin and just adhered itself to the cheese. I took the rest to go because I felt badly but I ended up throwing it away today which is only two days later. The calzone my husband had he said was good but just good. The fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp was tasty but not as great as it should have been for $36!! The Marguerita pizza would have been decent if it wasn't overly salted. Over all this restaurant is not worth the price at all. We ended up paying $166 for 2 pizzas, a fettuccini with shrimp and a calzone. Oh yah and a $6 small glass of Countrytime lemonade and a $6 bottled sprite. Of course I tipped 20% because it's not the servers fault and he wa very nice. The restaurant is situated on the bottom floor of an apartment building. I finally asking one of the many residents walking in and out if they had ever eaten there before to which they smiled sheepishly and said "we never even see anyone in here - it's not a very popular place." I tried this place for the first time and it was a really good surprise. The pasta tasted fresh and homemade, not heavy or greasy. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and the sauce had a ton of flavor without being too salty. Portions were generous, but not ridiculous. Service was friendly and the food came out pretty fast, even though the restaurant was busy. The place has a cozy vibe and it feels like somewhere you could come for a casual dinner or a date night. This restaurant is a good addition to the neighborhood. It's definitely pricey, but everything is of good quality. We split a mushroom pizza, split a Bolognese with penne pasta, and a salad, one glass of wine and a beer. With my semi decent hearing, it was definitely a little bit hard to understand the waiter because he had a strong accent and there's a lot of noise inside the dining area of the indoor dining room., On the good side, he had a good attitude and all the employees did too. The service overall is very good. What I didn't like was the fact they don't have French or sourdough type bread they use something similar to a pita bread. (This is an Italian restaurant) . The dip that comes with the bread is very good as is all the ingredients that they use. For $15 for a glass of wine I felt that they poured a very short pour and they should've been more plentiful. It never hurts to be a little bit, generous on a wine pour rather than keep it to the strict amount of ounces especially when your a new restaurant. We'll probably come back in the near future. I'm confused by the good reviews. Maybe we just went on an off night but I thought it was kind of awful, especially for the price. Parking is nonexistent so you have to find street parking. We had bruschetta, chopped salad, luganega pasta and some other pasta with braised short ribs. The bruschetta was super thin, and the chopped salad was just sad. A little wilted, very little flavor and 95% lettuce - like almost no other ingredients. The pastas were both very salty and bland at the same time. I came with my boyfriend, and the experience was completely ruined by the way the bill was handled. A service charge was automatically added even though it was just the two of us, and it was never listed on the menu. The old guy server didn't even put it under gratuity -- he just added it as a custom amount for himself, as if assuming we wouldn't tip. That is dishonest, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I always tip for good service, but being tricked into it left me feeling extremely disrespected and taken advantage of. I stumbled upon this spot on Yelp and made a Yelp reservation for a last-minute night out for dinner with my partner. The complimentary bread took a while to come out because it's handmade. Once it came, it was really so amazing and light. It was worth the wait and was so good with the herby olive oil dip. The entrees also took a while to come. We shared the Luganega pasta, which had a tasty creamy tomato sauce but it had very little sausage unfortunately. We also got the Campana pizza, which was so delicious and was topped with cherry tomatoes, which bursted (literally) after taking a bite. The pizza was the star of our dinner. We opted to sit outside with the standing heaters because the tables looked pretty cramped inside, but it was otherwise a nice restaurant with good service. Their food is on the pricey side, but I'd still come back for their fresh Italian food when I'm in the area. read more
