Little Dynamite really IS dynamite! This is primarily a takeout spot, although there are two tables out front and a small counter inside. Manager Kyle couldn't have been nicer or friendlier. Now, the pizza. THAT CRUST! They roll cheese right into the dough, so when it bakes, the crust gets crunchy, crispy and cheesy. You don't see that every day, and honestly, it's one of the best pizza crusts I've ever had. We tried the bacon and leek special, the pepperoni and the plain cheese, and all three were outstanding. Sometimes a plain cheese pizza is the best test because there's nowhere for mediocre pizza to hide--and this one didn't need to hide from anything.They also have garlic knots, which I'm definitely trying next time, plus soft drinks. I'd been wanting to try a pizza place in the area and decided to give this spot a try. After reading some reviews, I learned that I couldn't order online if I wanted to get half of one pizza and half of another. I should've called in, but I decided to order in person instead. Even on a Friday evening at 7pm, there was plenty of street parking, likely because there aren't many neighboring restaurants. Without a line, I was able to order right away, and I was told it would take 20-25 min. It was a small place with counter seating indoors, so I decided to take out. I ordered half Death Breath and half Hot Jimmy since those seemed to be the most popular options. For six slices, the price felt a bit steep at $35 ($38 after tax). The slices weren't thin, but not overly thick either, which felt like the perfect thickness for Detroit-style pizza. I really enjoyed the texture, as the pizza was soft and airy on the inside while still crispy on the outside. The Hot Jimmy was simple but still tasted gourmet, though I think I preferred the bolder flavors of the meat toppings and tomato sauce on the Death Breath. Both pizzas tasted good, but they were nothing spectacular. Overall, it was high-quality pizza. But I wish it was either cheaper or came with more slices for the price. If you read any of my reviews, you'll see a majority of them are Pizza places and I pride myself in knowing a good pie when I have one. Having said that, I'm not sure why this place has such a high rating its 3 stars at best, especially for pizza in the area and price point. I ordered the Nose Candy, the Shakedown Street (both round pies) and an order of garlic knots. I'm sure service is fine if your dine there, but there's barely any seating to dine in. Its mostly a take out or delivery type place. So i'll say the shakedown street pie was alright in taste, but it was poorly made. Normally I like crust on a pizza, but it wasnt anything special here and this one had about 2" of it. The cheese and sauces were just all centered and unevenly distributed which made for an awkward pizza. I doubt thats how its normally made, but that really disrupted my experience. Then I ordered the Nose Candy and it barely had garlic on it, if any. Again poorly made and this one was burnt. So, not only did I not taste any garlic, but most of bites were just burnt crust. I also thought there was too much use of ricotta, but that may have been from the ones I ordered. Then there's the garlic knots, which I just ended up throwing out. I don't like to waste food, but these were inedible. They were overly dense and doughy, almost as if they didn't cook through. Very little garlic taste and doused with parmesan...just bad. Sucks to have such a crappy experience becuase i've been itching to try this place based on its reviews and it was a heavy disappointment. Most likely wont be coming back anytime soon, and I'm hesitant to try the Detroit style pies based on how the garlic knots came out, but I always give places a second chance, so hopefully next time its a much better experience. read more

Mar-Ghoul-Rita is a Halloween gimmick, all tomato, barely and mozz, and it dyes your mouth black which is honestly, not very appealing. We ordered in on a rainy night. We got the thick crust Cheese Louise. I put it in the oven to reheat it and took it out when the sauce was bubbling so it was the right temperature. Unfortunately, the pizza was tough on the outside crust, and the rest was doughy and underbaked and flavorless . There was very little cheese and it was spattered in small clumps among the ordinary red sauce. It was not at all pleasant to eat. We also got the garlic knots in their two for one special. Same dough. Same doughy flavorless consistency but slathered with garlic and Parmesan. The garlic knots came with a thimbleful of marinara sauce. Picked up two square pizzas from Little Dynamite over the weekend. A Hot Jimmy and a Cowabunga! These sourdough square pizzas are much lighter and different from Detroit style pizza. The Hot Jimmy was soooo delicious!! It's a white pie with mozzarella, ricotta, hot italian sausage, roasted whole garlic, black pepper, parm, and hot honey. The ricotta and whole garlic was packed with flavor, really peppery, but the hot honey wasn't too noticeable. The Cowabunga pie was okay and a bit funky in flavor due to the provolone. This red sauce pie had mozzarella, provolone, crushed tomato sauce, ezzo pepperoni, pistachio pesto, pineapple, and parm. I actually found the cowabunga to be more tolerable the next day as the provolone wasn't so intense. Overall the pizza was really good and a unique try. We'll be back! read more

Listen, these are consistently great pizzas. The prices are a little steep but I think the quality makes up for it... and it helps prevent you from going all the time. lol The Cheese Louise was my first favorite and I also thoroughly enjoyed Shakedown Street. They had a delicious sounding one in November I believe that I don't get to try. Also they have themed pizzas (Thanksgiving and 4/20 for examples) so it's always a fun time. It's a small place so there isn't much room to eat there (a few stools and a couple tables outside) but just take it to go. Staff seems nice enough. This was my first time trying Little Dynamite and I placed a big order for a dinner I was hosting and the food/experience/customer service was 10/10. You can order 48+ hrs in advance through their website and I emailed the store to ask if I could push my pickup time by an hour and they were very accommodating and friendly. I ordered cheese, pepperoni, a custom pizza (for the non dairy girlies), and then the pesto one along with the catering order of garlic knots and ceasar salad. They also included a bunch of napkins and condiments in the order which was super helpful. I would definitely order from here again - the pizza was delicious and a good price! read more

All their pies look gorgeous and they're plenty of options for vegetarians, including white pies. It's worth looking closely at the menu as not everything is on display in the storefront (ie we saw later they have salads which we didn't see while in the shop.) There are also some really decadent-looking dessert options...we got a slight tour of the back room when they were nice enough to let us use the bathroom and talked with the chef who was pointing out the different kinds of chocolate they had on hand. The dough was tasty and cooked just right, but way too thick (is this just a Detroit Style thing?) For sure, the crust overwhelmed the pie. The sauce was very well flavored, but definitely the pie could have used more - the edges were too big (without sauce or cheese). One pizza was very filling for two people. The Caesar salad was fine, nothing to write home about, but I liked the homemade croutons. Overall, it was good.
