Half slice of sausage and pepperoni. Good crust "so-so toppings"
    Makoto C.

I just wanted a slice of pizza. Not a whole pie. I'm slowly trying all of the highly rated pizza places in Los Angeles and being able to try a slice is a nice addition. This place has thin flavorful crust and even the last "end" piece of crust is good. I could easily eat the crust dipped into some olive oil and balsamic and call it a day. The cheese is fine. The pepperoni is fine as well. I did not care much for the sausage. The price was very good and the service was really friendly. Nice friendly old school neighborhood pizza place. This pizza is (so far) the best representation of NY style pizza I've found in the area. It's not trying to be a fancy wood fired, or artesian pizza. It's just a good "regular" slice, and it is good. They were all out of napkins but the owners helped find me some paper towels. I also asked to have ourselves cut in half which they helped with.

The Best Local Slice in Palms/Culver City! If you are looking for the absolute best local pizza in the Palms and Culver City area, look no further than The Coop. While there are plenty of mainstream pizza chains nearby, nothing beats the quality of a local spot that actually cares about its craft. The standout feature here is definitely the dough--it is consistently fresh, light, and has that perfect texture that keeps you coming back for "just one more" slice. It's a huge hit in our household; my kids absolutely love it, and honestly, I could eat their pizza all day long. There is a clear difference when something is freshly made versus mass-produced. If you want to support a local business and treat yourself to a fantastic meal, come and support The Coop! Pros: * Incredible, fresh dough * Family-friendly (kid-approved!) * Authentic local atmosphere * Superior to the big chains Rating: 5/5 Stars!

Medium pizza with bell pepper, onions, and pepperoni

Such a charming NY pizza joint that has such rich history and such lovely owners. The pizza is such a comforting hug- tastes soooo yummy! They have individual slices or full pizzas. We got a medium pizza + 3 toppings so it was about $19. Fed 3 people and enough for left overs the next day. Will be coming back here regularly!

Mom and pop type pizzeria that feels east coast. Pretty small space so most conducive for take out. The couple running the place are the sweetest people. This was also first meal at my apartment in the area a bunch of years ago. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for take out and enjoyed it with some of my beers from my stash. I'm a big fan of their pizza! I thought it was really tasty and it always seems to hit the spot. Great for slices as well as they are conveniently located right before you get on the freeway or right when you get off the freeway. Also, they're located right across the street from the Palms train station so it's almost perfect for a grab and go meal. They also have some other items on the menu like the lasagna meal combo that comes with some garlic bread and a salad. Honestly, maybe I might be biased, but just a great spot located close by and always has great food at reasonable prices especially when you want that grab and go slice. Parking is okay - you can park around the neighborhood for street parking or there is a small that it shares with a couple of other businesses. Since it's located in a big apartments area of Palms, it's walking distance for many.

Old school since 1968. Warning cash only. I just wanted to have a snack and not a whole pizza and luckily this hole in the wall has slices for sale for under 5 bucks. They only had cheese and pepperoni available so I requested a cheese with mushrooms added. The lady wasn't stingy with the ingredients and piled on the mushrooms. The dough was very good and crispy New York style. Street parking is a bit difficult to get but they have a parking lot they share with Bob's liquor store.

We've walked and driven by this place countless times before finally trying Coop Pizza. Boy, oh boy - were we in for a treat! TLDR: This is our new neighborhood pizza joint with some legit pizza. Initially, we had very low expectations. The somewhat run-down exterior didn't suggest five-star quality pizza. Despite driving by multiple times, we never ventured in. This was truly a case of looks being deceiving. After hearing people rave about Coop Pizza - some even driving out of their way for a slice - our curiosity grew. Could it really be that good? One night, we spontaneously ordered an XL for pickup, and Coop Pizza instantly became our new favorite spot. The size was perfect for two adults with plenty of leftovers. The reviews are genuine. The people are fantastic. The pizza is delicious. No frills whatsoever. The owners, Christina and her husband Mike, are absolute gems who pour their whole hearts into their craft, and it shows. They were very kind, patient and super personable. Heads up: this place is cash only - make sure to bring extra for tip!

Great New York style pizza. They finally take credit cards. Take out only as there is no place to sit.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and overall the food itself was a great experience. Unfortunately, the customer service surrounding our pickup order was very disappointing. Our bag was sealed, but not all of the items we ordered were inside, forcing us to drive back to the restaurant. What was even more frustrating was the complete lack of accountability when we called. There was no apology or ownership of the mistake, and the communication was poor. If you're sealing pickup bags, there should be a process in place to ensure every item is packed before the order leaves the restaurant. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled makes a big difference. The food was excellent, but the lack of accountability and professionalism during this situation really took away from an otherwise great experience.

Jackson market as a whole in terms of ambiance, variety, taste definitely overtakes bay cities but if you're just talking about comparing food quality sand which to sand which it will be a tough TIE (it's not less) than bay cities. Bay cities is loaded and so is Jackson but bay cities is a little more juicier where the inside sandwich ingredients shine more and you can definitely taste each of the ingredients eg banana peppers meats deli cheese etc. Jackson market's Italian sub had harder bread but I could see like some would argue it's more balanced. It definitely is a little less juicy and even though there were complimentary banana peppers I hardly tasted it at all as it was sprinkled far and few. If you paid for an added topping eg. Jalepenos they were definitely generous with it. Tip: DO NOT get the French baguette toasted as it'll be too hard. The market is fun because it also offers wine selections ($20-$60), not a fun cheese selection like bay cities, pasta salad, bomb tiramisu, has an entire PIZZA OVEN in the back, fun canned drinks including GUAYABA (an aloe tasting like drink), pastries, and chips/snacks. Ambiance - the patio in the back is spacious and big. They don't allow you to bring a computer to work there and the WiFi and service is pretty bad there. Parking - street parking along residential homes 2 subs ($14.99/each), 2 drinks, 1 large chip ($4.95) came out to be around $44. Overall an amazing find. The 10/10 would come back & especially try the pizza. Revolutionary in food taste ? Probably not but revolutionary in enjoyability and spot find? 1000%. Happy munching !

It was VERY close! The bread is excellent and the cheese and meat are clearly selected with INCREDIBLE intention. The only problem is that the bread is huge and has a taste unto itself that is really good! Why a problem? Because the cheese was not sharp enough to penetrate the bread flavor and the meat was not deep enough to do the same. This was a (delicious) bread first sandwich. I like my sandwiches to be ingredient forward-facing. This is a me thing. You may absolutely adore this place. My friends got the tuna and I wish I had got that. So fresh and light. With the price, I didn't feel like asking for a "re-do," but I chose wrong haha I will try this place again and get something with less bread dominance. Definitely try if you aren't use to AUTHENTIC European sandwiches. You're in for a treat.
