The service can be backed up since it's only the two of the owners (presumably) working (their phone is always ringing!!). So call ahead and plan accordingly. I just wanted a slice of pizza. Not a whole pie. I'm slowly trying all of the highly rated pizza places in Los Angeles and being able to try a slice is a nice addition. This place has thin flavorful crust and even the last "end" piece of crust is good. I could easily eat the crust dipped into some olive oil and balsamic and call it a day. The cheese is fine. The pepperoni is fine as well. I did not care much for the sausage. The price was very good and the service was really friendly. Nice friendly old school neighborhood pizza place. Get a slice to eat there (stand at the counter) or take a whole pie home (we start eating once we get in the car w a couple of paper plates). This was also first meal at my apartment in the area a bunch of years ago. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for take out and enjoyed it with some of my beers from my stash. I'm a big fan of their pizza! I thought it was really tasty and it always seems to hit the spot. Great for slices as well as they are conveniently located right before you get on the freeway or right when you get off the freeway. Also, they're located right across the street from the Palms train station so it's almost perfect for a grab and go meal. They also have some other items on the menu like the lasagna meal combo that comes with some garlic bread and a salad. Honestly, maybe I might be biased, but just a great spot located close by and always has great food at reasonable prices especially when you want that grab and go slice. Parking is okay - you can park around the neighborhood for street parking or there is a small that it shares with a couple of other businesses. Love Coop pizza. It's close by and definitely the best pizza in the area. It is old school as it's run by a couple themselves so you have to call to order and the only accept cash but it's definitely worth it. The owner is super sweet and there is some parking which is always helpful in west LA. You can also walk in and they have slices for sale but you never know what toppings there are. They only had cheese and pepperoni available so I requested a cheese with mushrooms added. The lady wasn't stingy with the ingredients and piled on the mushrooms. Yes you could order Domino's or Pizza Hut, but it won't taste as good as the coop. So, do yourself a favor and try it if you haven't. It's owned and run by a sweet couple. Back in the day, this would not be an issue for most people, but now, in the days of frequent contactless payments, I can see people who aren't in the know coming to this place not knowing any better. So, just be aware and bring cash. Trust me, it's worth it! The last time my Chicago grandfather visited me, I picked us up a pizza from here, and he still talks about how good it tasted. Mind you, he's 90, lived in Chicago for the majority of his life, and came out to visit me about 9 years ago. So, for this pizza to stay in his mind for 9 years is really saying something. When I worked in Culver City, I found out about The Coop from a co worker who would frequent there on weekdays or weekends when dinner plans were up in the air. I tried it out, and loved it from first bite! First off, the pizza is not super fancy, but good ingredients including fresh mozzarella, and pizza fixings that are delicious. The owners are gems! Husband and wife, who make consistently good pizza everytime I stopped by. And knew the regular customers who would get pizza by the slice or by the pie.
