The Best Local Slice in Palms/Culver City! If you are looking for the absolute best local pizza in the Palms and Culver City area, look no further than The Coop. While there are plenty of mainstream pizza chains nearby, nothing beats the quality of a local spot that actually cares about its craft. The standout feature here is definitely the dough--it is consistently fresh, light, and has that perfect texture that keeps you coming back for "just one more" slice. It's a huge hit in our household; my kids absolutely love it, and honestly, I could eat their pizza all day long. There is a clear difference when something is freshly made versus mass-produced. If you want to support a local business and treat yourself to a fantastic meal, come and support The Coop! Pros: * Incredible, fresh dough * Family-friendly (kid-approved!) * Authentic local atmosphere * Superior to the big chains Rating: 5/5 Stars!

Such a charming NY pizza joint that has such rich history and such lovely owners. The pizza is such a comforting hug- tastes soooo yummy! They have individual slices or full pizzas. We got a medium pizza + 3 toppings so it was about $19. Fed 3 people and enough for left overs the next day. Will be coming back here regularly!

Mom and pop type pizzeria that feels east coast. Pretty small space so most conducive for take out. The couple running the place are the sweetest people. This was also first meal at my apartment in the area a bunch of years ago. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for take out and enjoyed it with some of my beers from my stash. I'm a big fan of their pizza! I thought it was really tasty and it always seems to hit the spot. Great for slices as well as they are conveniently located right before you get on the freeway or right when you get off the freeway. Also, they're located right across the street from the Palms train station so it's almost perfect for a grab and go meal. They also have some other items on the menu like the lasagna meal combo that comes with some garlic bread and a salad. Honestly, maybe I might be biased, but just a great spot located close by and always has great food at reasonable prices especially when you want that grab and go slice. Parking is okay - you can park around the neighborhood for street parking or there is a small that it shares with a couple of other businesses. Since it's located in a big apartments area of Palms, it's walking distance for many.

Old school since 1968. Warning cash only. I just wanted to have a snack and not a whole pizza and luckily this hole in the wall has slices for sale for under 5 bucks. They only had cheese and pepperoni available so I requested a cheese with mushrooms added. The lady wasn't stingy with the ingredients and piled on the mushrooms. The dough was very good and crispy New York style. Street parking is a bit difficult to get but they have a parking lot they share with Bob's liquor store.

I have to keep updating my reviews, don't leave the parking lot until you have at least a slice or two! Ask for a couple of paper plates and plenty of napkins! Something about the fresh out of the oven experience is next level deliciousness ask for a little well done and it's off the hook! The lasagna is OMG! With the garlic bread! The meatball sandwich is my next choice!

We've walked and driven by this place countless times before finally trying Coop Pizza. Boy, oh boy - were we in for a treat! TLDR: This is our new neighborhood pizza joint with some legit pizza. Initially, we had very low expectations. The somewhat run-down exterior didn't suggest five-star quality pizza. Despite driving by multiple times, we never ventured in. This was truly a case of looks being deceiving. After hearing people rave about Coop Pizza - some even driving out of their way for a slice - our curiosity grew. Could it really be that good? One night, we spontaneously ordered an XL for pickup, and Coop Pizza instantly became our new favorite spot. The size was perfect for two adults with plenty of leftovers. The reviews are genuine. The people are fantastic. The pizza is delicious. No frills whatsoever. The owners, Christina and her husband Mike, are absolute gems who pour their whole hearts into their craft, and it shows. They were very kind, patient and super personable. Heads up: this place is cash only - make sure to bring extra for tip!

This place was great! There's a small side parking lot. This business is CASH ONLY!! The pizza is delicious and NY style this crust. One slice is $3.80 with tax. Cheese was delicious and Mike heated it up perfectly! Service was quick and polite. No seating inside or outside so really just takeout only.

The best pizza I've ever had in LA! As a former New Yorker I find it hard to encounter authentic pizzas and so glad we found this hole in the wall kinda place! Our daughter is a picky eater but she approved too! Will definitely come back very soon!

Cocktails are slightly limited as it is not a full bar, but they do have options. The frozen Spritz was very flavorful, more fruit forward and would be perfect in a hot day. The Nonna's Medicine had a nice complexity to it with the flavors peeking their heads out at different times through the process. For food we started with the crudo, mussels and grilled oysters. The crudo was very fresh and had a lot going on with it's simplicity. Just a great bite. The mussels were decent but really didn't stand out in any way. The grilled oysters, however, had flavor and texture, with a Parmesan crust on top and the oyster and juice underneath. Very good! For pizza, they are almost like little personal focaccia pizzas, cut into four slices. We tried the mushroom, pepperoni and white pizzas. The mushroom has a garlic cream sauce and herb mix with Parmesan. You definitely get the mushrooms, as they are ample, but they do not over power the pizza. Just a good blend of flavors in each bite. The white comes with Japanese potato, fennel, mozzarella and pesto. Another really great bite with the potatoes not overpowering everything else. Finally, the pepperoni with spicy honey. The spicy honey is more like spicy marinara honey sauce, but it works. Could have used more of that as it came on the side. The pizza itself, with mozzarella and pecorino tasted great. Maybe that focaccia is the move? Overall, De La Nonna did not disappoint. Everything was very nice, and sitting on the patio when the weather is perfect is always a move. I would say to skip the mussels but, everything else, give it a try!

Initially we were going to…read moretry De La Nonna, but they were closed for a special event and we didn't know when we showed up. In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!

I've had this same pizza at several other spots in LA, but Prime Pizza really executed it well here. Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part.
