Located by other food stands at a truck-stop car/truck-wash, we ate there because the great Indian food place there was closed on Sundays. We ordered 5 tacos con pollo (chicken), 1 taco con carne asada (beef), and 1 taco al pastor (pork & pineapple). We paid for 7 tacos, and the receipt shows that order. What we got was 6 chicken tacos and 1 beef taco - no al pastor taco. That was the first mistake. They gave us a pager, and the tacos were ready about 7 minutes later ... and the pager device beeped as it should have. We sat down to eat at the nearby shared picnic tables (not fancy, but adequate, with shade over some of them). The tacos came with a chile, both red and green sauce, and some sliced radishes. Both the chicken and the beef were very dry, and while the chicken had reasonable flavor, the beef was bland. And of course, the missing taco al pastor was an annoyance. So the food was adequate, but not great, not fast, and they didn't make our order properly. We won't be going back. read more

Stopped by this taco stand for a quick bite. Located next to a gas station alongside 2 other food stands (Russian & Indian food). We opted for Mexican. Ordered the Tacos Dorados. There are picnic tables outside, but if raining, there is a shed with tables and chairs. Tacos Dorados are rolled tacos/flautas that have shredded chicken inside a crispy rolled shell and topped with sour cream, guacamole and cheese. Good. Ingredients tasted fresh. This place is close to my work and we LOVE IT. That Birria is insanely good, the rice is perfect, the tacos dorados are fabulous, and we tried the special Tamal de Elote today and had our minds blown. Staff is always friendly and food is ready quickly. Portions are very generous for the money - we always get too much food (which makes for great dinner later). MUCHAS GRACIAS POR TODO! read more

I really was expecting to have great tacos for the evening. I'm a truck driver and I've been here a few times. I've never been disappointed here. Tonight was a different story. From the service to the tacos . Omg , the meat was so over cooked. You could squeeze 6 limes and it would still be dry . I was glad I had extra salsa to make it edible, I didn't want to wast $8 . I called, which I never do but once I called and , I quickly understood that if the customer service was as dry as it was , then of course the food was going to be as well. I hope they work on it . Surprised to read negative reviews on this place. I've been to Fire at least 8-10 times over the course of a few years and never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is not great, borderline terrible. Very little parking and this must be one of the busiest truck stops in Oregon. Constant truck traffic and crazy bad intersections. But I keep coming back despite the hassle. The carnitas is very good, with a nice herbal bouquet. Their hot salsa is great. I find the ladies that take the orders very friendly. Prices are relatively high but portions very generous. Menu is big I need to branch out more I tend to stick with carnitas tacos or burrito but these satisfy. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! I am so sorry for the business but seriously if you want to survive while you in the road don't eat here the food is not well cooked. I ordered 2 pupusas, steak torta ( I did not get steak on my torta by the way) and we order sopes too all of it was trash and we tried to eat the food to not be wasteful but literally 3 min from having your first 2-3 bites your stomach starts to hurt and I'm NEVER like that. Well I basically was throwing up 30 min in the gas station bathroom. The only good thing was the Coke that we order but the food WAS NOT good. I wanted to be a fan, but was not. Nice looking taco salad and nice size for the money. Problem? I did not like the al pastor and thus only ate the shell of the salad bowl. I also tried the emmolada since I usually love mole enchiladas, but again, the meat was weird and the mole was not good in my book. Others might love the meat and the mole, so take my review with a grain of salt. It is more for my sake so I remember not to order from here again. It just didn't work for me. read more

Not terrible, but also nothing overly amazing worth going out of your way for. It's a convenient stop if you need food in this random area with not much around, but it's not a foodie destination. Tacos dorados are okay, not too flavorful, but they get the job done. I'm a huge huaraches fan and make them at home myself..these again, are just okay. Nothing magical. Even the salsas..I'd say everything is pretty bland, never spiced real well or seasoned remarkably. Which some types of people who shy away from flavor may absolutely love to find when Mexican food is usually heavily seasoned and spicy. The beans and rice are really the only thing I advise not getting at all. They're very disappointing. First off A taco is $3.50, Secondly they taste like paper. Very bland and customer service fail. Kinda impatient and itchy with a B. She threw a temp tantrum because we wanted to look at the menu longer - not standing up at the front window or in line, then once ordered she walked away came back to verify told her shes got it, she snapped at me. Disappointed every time I ask for 3 simple tacos they change the price, wrong order. I mean they don't understand English I get it but how hard is it to make 3 simple tacos and get always the order wrong and overcharging you. U end up waiting over a half an hour not worth my time. First thing I said was 5 tacos. They didn't have lengua so I said two tripas, two asada, and I'll try the chicken. I've eaten here twice before and it was ok. I was feeling Mexican so tacos it is. Twice before it was $12 and some change for 5 tacos. This time the lady said $16. To my surprise I questioned her that it doesn't seem right and that it's usually around $12 something. She said tripas are more expensive. But whatever I didn't want to make a big deal over a couple of dollars. There was a couple of customers ahead of me and when she yelled 6 tacos and no one answered not even me. So she ringed the bell and repeated 6 tacos and no one answered again. She then points at me. I said I only ordered 5 tacos. She glares at me and said that's why it was $16. I told her I only wanted 5 tacos can you take one away and give me my change. She said no and hands me my bag. I would've have let it slide if she was apologetic. But to make things worst the tacos were soo dry, the asada and chicken. Probably got the left overs since I ordered around 8pm. But no excuses. Not good at all. I was really hungry and I paid $16 so I forced myself to eat only three tacos and ended up tossing the other three. Its hard to find bad taco's in the area, but I came across them today. Al pastor tacos were dry as dust no grease, no crunch, the onions were mushy and the whole taco was bland. I had to hunt around for 5 minutes to find some sauces. Do yourself a favor and get the Russian food next door. read more
