Tacos Dorados
Melissa L.

Stopped by this taco stand for a quick bite. Located next to a gas station alongside 2 other food stands (Russian & Indian food). We opted for Mexican. Ordered the Tacos Dorados. There are picnic tables outside, but if raining, there is a shed with tables and chairs. Tacos Dorados are rolled tacos/flautas that have shredded chicken inside a crispy rolled shell and topped with sour cream, guacamole and cheese. Good. Ingredients tasted fresh. Stomach full and ready to hit the road.

Definitely worth a try. This is across from the Flying J truck stop. We got the tacos (#18), burrito and for my picky children the burger and fries.

Al pastor , carne Assad and Beef tongue tacos for Taco Tuesday

I really was expecting to have great tacos for the evening. I'm a truck driver and I've been here a few times. I've never been disappointed here. Tonight was a different story. From the service to the tacos . Omg , the meat was so over cooked. You could squeeze 6 limes and it would still be dry . I was glad I had extra salsa to make it edible, I didn't want to wast $8 . I called, which I never do but once I called and , I quickly understood that if the customer service was as dry as it was , then of course the food was going to be as well. I hope they work on it . As for now I'll keep passing by . I really hate leaving a review but , honestly is the best policy.

After telling the four times not to add onions, they still decide to add onion in the food isn't good either. Do not go here.

There is plenty of seating there and It looked like there was a space for live music and string lights - probably a fun spot to grab dinner in the evening. We came for lunch and ordered the chao mian with chicken (spicy) and bian bian noodles (spicy). The noodles are cooked to order and we were served quickly. The serving sizes are huge. Neither one of us could finish ours. We'll likely order one dish to split next time, and that'd still probably be more than enough. The flavor of the chao mian was a bit lackluster. It was savory with a soy sauce flavor base, but got a bit repetitive with each bite. It was decently spicy and texture was there with the veggies, but I wish there was a way to customize with more spice or vinegar to taste. The bian bian noodles were more flavorful and also spicier. Fun noodle texture. There are also other vendors in the garden so you can pair a dessert, drink, or side with your meal while staying in the same area. Overall, a filling meal for a good price! Would come again to try their beef noodle soup.

Happy Valley Food Carts yeah, I might be a little biased... I live here. And to the three of you…read moretrying to triangulate my exact location based on this review relax, it's not that serious. Let's get into it. Right off I-205 and just a short cruise up into Happy Valley, this spot feels like the food cart scene finally put on a clean shirt and got its life together. It's modern, it's polished, and it sits in a neighborhood where you don't feel like you need to keep your head on a swivel. No chaos, no nonsense just good eats and a relaxed vibe. What makes this place stand out? Options. A ridiculous amount of them. This isn't a "hope everyone agrees on tacos" situation. This is a "you get what you want, I get what I want, and we all win" kind of place. I've officially made it my mission few days left to try as many carts as humanly possible. Call it a food tour, call it a personal challenge, call it reckless ambition... I'm doing it anyway. We kicked things off at K-Pop Korean Hawaiian BBQ-because when you roll with a buddy from Hawaii, that's basically law. And let me tell you, it delivers. Bold flavors, solid portions, and that perfect fusion vibe that just works. Honestly, it set the bar high and that's saying something, because every cart here seems to bring their A-game. The setup is dialed in too. Covered seating for those rainy Oregon days, indoor space when winter decides to show up with attitude, and open-air areas when you want to sip a little wine or knock back a cold brew like a civilized adult. Surrounded by trees and mountain views, it almost tricks you into thinking you planned something outdoorsy... when really, you just came to eat. And here's the kicker it's clean. Like, noticeably clean. The carts look new, the area is well kept, and the whole place feels intentional. Not slapped together. Not gritty. This is food carting with standards. If you're local, you already know. If you're passing through, put this at the top of your list. And if you're doing a full-on food truck tour? Start here. Set the tone right. Because trust me after this, when you head back downtown and start dodging zombies and chaos... you'll miss this place real quick.

Love me some Happy Valley Station!…read more This is like the upscale farmers market of food carts- park your car, enjoy the landscaping, and check it all out. Dog friendly, Kid friendly, 100-year old friendly. Lots of clean and tidy indoor and outdoor cafeteria-style seating to choose from. Carts are covered from the rain, but outside. Beer and Espresso served and paid for inside. Restrooms are accessible and inside. Carts will give you a buzzer to notify you when the order is ready, so you can go walk around or find a seat while you wait. It was very busy this particular day, but no problem, all the carts seemed to be prepared for that! Just a lot of friendly faces who understood we needed to drool over all the menus before arriving somewhere. We landed on Premier Japanese Hibachi and loved all the flavor. Some of the freshest shrimp and yakisoba I have ever had. We also had the grilled shrimp and steak. TIP: don't forget to ask how you want your steak because it is made to order! The sauces on the side were perfect for dipping and sharing. Unfortunately, the portions did feel small for $18 a plate. Also, how to order water with your meal was confusing- another worker said just go inside. Eventually I saw signs that water is free with purchase or $1, but you would think it would be obvious. Overall, Premier Japanese Hibachi and everything else was a hit, 10/10, TY!

When we came by, they had live music, and initially had the garage door open (it was closed as the evening got cooler). Prices were high for taqueria -- but this is an upscale alternative, and certainly not expensive relative to the sit-down restaurants nearby. But, don't go thinking it'll be a quick street taco experience -- it's a full restaurant. I had the street tacos. I would have gone 5-star, except I made the mistake of asking for the green salsa, and putting it all over the tacos. They ended up being *so* spicy -- much more than I was expecting, and honestly hard for me to eat. Obviously my fault for not testing the waters carefully -- but it did affect my enjoyment of the evening. Just be forewarned!

To start, we ordered a couple of house margaritas and the grilled octopus, both of which were excellent. The menu offers a wide variety of options, so we asked for a recommendation. Our server suggested the Molcajete Mexicano, which turned out to be a standout dish--rich in flavor and generously portioned (photo attached for reference). Overall, the pricing was reasonable for dining out, and the service was attentive and efficient. We arrived with modest expectations but were thoroughly impressed by both the food and the service.
