This review is solely based on my takeout order from Fire Wings in Manteca. I picked up my food exactly when it was ready, and my drive home was only about 7-10 minutes, so everything should've still been pretty fresh. I ordered the Southwest Tender Fries, and honestly, the only thing I could really eat were the tenders and the fries. Everything else ended up super soggy. On top of that, there was just way too much sauce--too much BBQ, too much ranch. And as much as I like sauce, it was overwhelming and just too much for my liking. Maybe this dish is better when dining in, but for takeout, I wouldn't recommend it. I also got a 10-piece combo with Peanut Butter and Lemon Pepper. The flavors were solid, but the wings felt smaller than I remembered, so they weren't as satisfying as they usually are. The one thing that absolutely hit was the garlic noodles--very delicious and honestly the best part of the whole order. Overall, not terrible but not great. Since I've been using Door Dash, off and on, I've been trying places I never entered. I'm not a wings fan but reading through the menu, I decided to try their food, having it delivered. Garlic Parmesan is a good taste combination for me and the chicken strips made that way sounded good. Also, I haven't had mozzarella sticks since leaving Philly. The driver didn't take too long and the food was reasonably warm. The chicken strips were really good but they barely had any cheese. I expected it to be grated Parmesan cheese but it was shredded. The mozzarella sticks were interesting. I expected gooey cheese, since they were warm and they were more like something I'd never tasted. They weren't bad and the sauce was okay. So we give this spot another chance. The other day, the customer service was on super point. Food was good as usual. Then we come back for a second time in the same week. Big mistake.... Just so we're clear, the tall guy that took our order was on point. Very customer service oriented, more on that later. We make it to the car and find out that we are missing the fries from our order. So we go back in, and one of the workers, (shorter Hispanic girl), basically was talking loud enough for us to hear and she claims that she knows how to count and put the fries in the bag. Her tone with my daughter was super rude like we were lying....about kids meal fries, after we just spent close to $100 on our food. Another side note, while we were waiting, a guy came in with his kid and the first thing out of that girls mouth was, we are not taking anymore orders. The guy pleaded to just get something small, but she repeated herself in a really rude tone. The taller guy offered to give his meal to them. (Talk about over the top customer service!) Only to find out they wanted something that was not offered on the menu. So they left. We walked out and I was so impressed by that young man that I went back in to give him a tip, he had already left. I asked the girl if he was still around, she said he just left, and I told her I just wanted to give him a tip, she turned around and walked away like I just offended her. People spend money at your store, without them, your business does not thrive. I'm not saying kiss peoples asses, but at least read the room, treat people like you would like to be treated. I ordered on door dash on New Year's Day and I was not impressed with the food, but I was impressed with the quick delivery- although I paid the extra $3 for priority delivery. So I was able to order and have the food delivered with in 20 minutes - so props to that. However, the food seemed like it was made in a rush and was terrible. The wings were NOT TOSSED, you can see that in the photos- therefore the wings were not flavored with the sauce and were just dry bland batter. Totally not what I was in the mood for. The first time I've tried fire wings was at their Elk Grove location located on laguna. To be honest I was never really a fan of it, but it's definitely different. Their wings have more of an Asian flare to it so that's pretty nice compared to the traditional American flavors. This Manteca location is the best location I've been too. Customer service is great, wings come out quick, never really had a problem waiting too long. This is my moms favorite wing place so we order from here pretty often. This time around we noticed that the wings were over cooked and really dry, but this was one out of many times so I don't blame them for their one mistake. I highly recommend the garlic noodles. All in all this location gets a 3/5 for good customer service and fast ticket times. Would recommend giving it a try if you like Asian fusion. read more

Super impressed with Fire Wings!! I've always heard good things about this restaurant, most particularly for it's locations up in the Sacramento area. Since then, I've been looking forward to the time I would stop by Manteca next since it's the closest location to where I live. I came on a Wednesday around lunch time and ordered my wings online. I ordered 10 pc bone-in wings, with Korean Kick and Dragon as my flavors, with a side of garlic fries. It also came with a drink - all of this costed about $16-17. My food was ready in the 20 minutes that it said it would be when I ordered online. Upon entering the restaurant, I was also impressed with how clean the entire interior of the restaurant was. It also seemed like they had dine-in available. COVID-wise, everything was clean and social distancing efforts and masks were enforced by the employees. The food was SUPER good, and I was surprised to see how many diverse and unique flavors they had to offer. The Dragon flavored wings were a personal favorite of mine. The Korean Kick had a nice kick to it given by it's name, and they were plenty generous with the sauce on both flavors. Unfortunately, the garlic fries were soggy by the time I was able to eat them after a 20 minute car ride but it was still good. The only thing I felt was off about the fries was that half of the tray was completely FLOODED with the garlic butter liquid they use. Most of my fries, with the exception of the ones at the top, were drenched. I appreciated how they had online ordering since it made it a lot easier to order. However, it was just a bit difficult choosing flavors to eat as a new customer. A description of the flavors and what ingredients/tastes each has would have been appreciated rather than just listing them out on the website. (I got lucky with liking the Dragon flavor haha!) One out of three times I come here, my food is cold. It's always a hit or miss with this location. I've been to other locations and my food is always hot. I've noticed it depends on who is working. When I see certain people, I know my food will be hot, but I've walked out before ordering if others are working. A positive is when the food is hot, it's amazing. Love love love this location for fried chicken wings! I have been here a handful of times at this specific location and it has always been consistent both with the food and customer service. Incredibly nice staff with work enthusiasm & food takes a fair amount of time to ensure the best of crunch and taste quality. The restaurant is always kept clean and I see tables being wiped almost immediately after guests leave. This stores' management is doing amazing and would give 6 stars if I could. There was 3 of us so we ordered 30 wings , garlic noodles and garlic fries. There was plenty of food and we still weren't able to finish it. We ordered original buffalo, mango habanero , lemon pepper , Louisiana rub, and Thai Chili . All the wings tasted pretty legit. I actually enjoyed all the wings. My favorite would have to be the Thai Chili since it was unique and my least favorite was the Buffalo. All the flavors we got were pretty interesting so the Buffalo was pretty basic. Wish I had ordered the Buffalo stampede instead. The garlic noodles were yummy. I actually preferred that over the garlic fries. Overall this place satiated my hunger and left me feeling satisfied . Done, Done and DONE with Fire Wings AND Grub Hub! Made an order online through their website. Only been there one time before because I saw they had zucchini strips, which you don't see at most fast-food restaurants. Anyway, I paid for the order through web site and arrived about the time website showed it was ready. The server at the counter greeted me and I gave my information to pick up the order. She informed me that they were out of the zucchini strips but could substitute with something else. I didn't want anything else so they she offered a sore credit which I turned down. Since this would be the first time I tried the wings, didn't know if I would be returning. She informed me that they "cannot give a refund because the order was through Grub Hub". She stated that I would have to contact grub Hub to request a refund... so I have to request a refund from a 3rd party because their website orders go through grub hub. Starting to get upset, I ask for the manager on site. A young man looking about 17 came out the back and attempted to explain this is the company policy and it's beyond his control. So even though I have my ID, debit card which the order was placed with and receipt together I have to also do the leg work to get a refund from a 3rd party because they can't give a $5 refund or put it back on my card. They also aren't responsible to call Grub Hub to adjust an order if they are out of an item. I was also informed that another reason they can't give a refund is: because the order is placed through a 3rd party, even on their own website, there is a price difference (higher) through Grub Hub Than in the store. The store manager was contacted, and she repeated pretty much the same information. I looked online for Grub Hub which their website has no contact information for complaints or refunds. Yet the manager had their direct number in his phone! Having no other choice, I stayed at the counter until I was done speaking with Grub Hub while they processed the refund. After 20-25 minutes of going back and forward, now I'm at the point where I don't want anything from there, but I can't get an immediate refund and my family is also waiting for me to return. Plus, I'd have to start all over at their main competitor (Wing Stop) 1 1/2 blocks away which would put me another 30-45 minutes before I have food in hand. Needless to say, my appetite is ruined, the food I decided to take home to my waiting family is now cold and no longer fresh. So much for convenience or customer service. Life lesson - don't order through Grub Hub because you cannot get an immediate refund if there is an item missing or not available when you get to the restaurant AND you pay more through Grub Hub. I can't even give an honest review on the food because I lost my appetite, the food wasn't fresh by the time I got home, and I'm pissed at the whole situation so there's no way I can be honest about food quality because there was no quality anywhere else in my customer experience. Decided to try Fire Wings yesterday. They have so many flavors I did not know what to pick. Very excited to get home from a long weekend trip and Fire Wings was the food of choice. Order a bone-in 40 pcs with 4 flavors as an option for $39.00: Lemon pepper Korean BBQ Chipotle Saigon Street and Garlic noodles I arrived home with my togo order and found my order to be wrong as I stated bone-in before ordering and at the end of my phone order for clarification. I received a 40 pcs boneless chicken and rubbery noodles. Here it is 15 minutes to closing and I have called 4 times back to back and no one picked up. So at this point I was very disappointed at Fire Wings staff for the mix-up and I am still hungry. No, I am not a boneless chicken guy the bone-in has more flavor to me. So I went back to Fire Wings today and ask to speak with the manger (may I add, not holding Fire Wings accountable because of one staffer mistake. Let me give them a chance to redeem themselves before I write them off). Spoke with the manger Ricky and explained what happen the night before with receipt, photos of the food not touched with date and time stamped of the following day also with cell phone record of the calls I made trying to reach them. Ricky was completely understanding and apologetic and asked if I want a refund, store credit or redo of my order. Well it is dinner time, lets have a do-over but with different flavors exchange Korean for buffalo stampede. I must same that I am glad that a gave Fire Wings another try because the food was great and the lemon pepper, BBQ and buffalo was my favorite. The garlic noodle were not my favorite. So first this is me second trip in the same week so yeah it's good! I'm a fan of Wingstop and they are across the street so I have never thought to try Fire Wings. I have a good wing place. I can tell you now after 2 visits I'll never go back to any other wing place as long as these guys are around. So far I have had these flavors: Lemon pepper - a much more flavorful and non-greasy version of wingstop Garlic Parmesan - good Mango habenero - same as wingstop, my go to flavor Thai Chili - not very much heat but great flavor! Peanut Butter - OH MAN!!!! I would eat this sauce off a flip flop!!! I mean a brand new one of course, don't make this weird. The fries are great and crispy. We also tried the garlic noodles. I could eat a bucket of that mess!!! Simple noodles with a buttery sauce, lots of garlic and some Parmesan. Amazing. I am not a huge wing person, BUT for some reason I actually really enjoy coming here and I love their wings. They have a good variety of flavors. This visit I got the garlic Parmesan.
