My first time here. Didn't know this place existed since moved to Lathrop. Been to mostly all the Vietnamese restaurants in Manteca until I stumbled on this place online. Was initially drawn here because it said it served, "Cambodian Phnom Penh Noodle Soup". Sadly they don't serve it anymore because majority of Cambodians live in Stockton. Needless to say, it's nice to see a Cambodian owned business in the area. I had the Pho Dac Biet. Not the best pho broth I ever had but it's decent. It can be improved. It's nice they have a variety of Asian food here, including BBQ beef sticks and papaya salad. Nice and clean dining area. I was the only customer here, normally Pho restaurants are always busy. I was most impressed with the broth ratio to meat and noodles not many places get the accuracy correct. I've had places where it's too many noodles which absorbs all the broth. It's been quite a while since I visited this place. It's changed management a couple of times mostly likely since then. I tried stopping a couple of months ago and no one was out front, so I waited a few minutes and left. This time, someone arrived immediately and greeted me. I sat and she brought a menu. Within a minute or so, someone came to take my order. I ordered a Seafood Vermicelli, T-13 perhaps. It looked like the best combo for what I wanted. I also asked for iced tea. They should have had more on the menu. I was actually looking for com dia/rice plate. The menu was unusual for a VietNamese restarant, but at least, I found something I wanted. In just a few minutes more, both items were at my table. That's quite impressive, although I was the only customer at the time. For a medium bowl, I thought it quite large. It reminded me of a place down south, Pho Super Bowl, where the large bowl was enough to host an event of its own. The broth was good, the noodles were separated, and there was a bit of shrimp, squid, fish balls, but the crab didn't quite have the right texture. I wanted fish today, so having a bit of painted red fish was okay. The iced tea was fine, also. The restaurant doesn't look as good as it might. I sat at table 1, and I think that's probably where staff eats, so that makes sense why the supplies weren't quite full. Still, there was enough for me to use and that's what really matters. Love the spaciousness of the restaurant. Staff are very friendly with polite greetings. Clean bathrooms and tables. Ordered the Pho and husband ordered the egg noodle pho. Broth was perfect with full flavored spices, just the way I needed it. Beef sticks were juicy and delicious. Staff is tentative and food came out pretty quick. I want to give them a higher rating but the waiter was not very friendly. He wanted to charge me $3 more to get grilled chicken. I have as ordering chicken pho but I wanted the chicken grilled. The chicken pho was $13. An additional $3 seemed unreasonable so I decided to go with won ton soup with noodles. It was great! The were five large wontons in my medium size bowl. All their soups come in medium or large sizes only. The won ton noodle soup is 5 stars and I definitely recommend it! I ordered a coconut juice too. It tasted very watered down. This definitely was a solid two and a half stars. stars. I won't order this from them again as it was barley ok. Parking is five stars but as you can see in my photos I was the only customer so if it were crowded it would still have great parking as the lot was a good size in comparison to the restaurant. So my work partner and I were hungry and craving Asian food and were looking for a place to eat after leaving Stockton. Figuring we weren't from the area, had to do a quick Google of Asian restaurant with Pho dishes. Sure enough this location popped up on Google maps and it said it's quick and right off Highway 99. Made it an easy choice because of the quick easy access and location. We entered the restaurant and assumed it was run by a Vietnamese folks. To my surprise it was actually operated by very nice Cambodian couple. I was happy to hear them speaking my native tongue of Khmer. I didn't want to get to excited because we still had to order and taste our food. To my delight as each of our bowl of Pho arrived to our table. I already knew it was going to taste good. The aroma of the pho floated into our nostril and the broth was on point with our taste palate. My work partner was over joyed that's his bowl of Pho tasted really delicious! And said he would swing by here again with his family. I too, will also be being bringing my family here to try out their dishes. As for their customer service, they were very friendly and we had a pleasant experience, we have no complaints. They were real quick with our orders. We would recommend anyone to try this business if they are in the mood for Asian Cuisine with a taste of Southeast Asian flavors! What is it about Gas Stations in Manteca hiding good restaurants? La Playa on Louise and Cottage Ave is behind a Chevron station, and Pho Asian Cuisine is behind the A&A station on Yosemite. Pho Asian has medium bodied soup that has good flavor, some places are a little too thin. Portions are right, the noodles come apart easily and are smooth. A pleasant surprise was their Cambodian beef sticks which were tender and had a light flavor that I found refreshing as compared to others with a very sweet layer. Our order was delivered promptly and there's not much decor, It's a simple place. I would give this place 3.5 stars, but Yelp makes it 3. A worthwhile place to visit. read more

Came here for lunch before I had to go to work for nights. The place looks spacious and had plenty of tables to seat at. It was clean, I didn't see anything dirty or anything to complain at. The food was really good though, the broth tasted great and refreshing. The shrimp eggroll was great because it's one of my fav. And I ordered spring rolls to go! Came here for lunch with our family, and it was OK. I ordered the spring rolls, which was rolled up a bit too loose, the shrimp was fresh but the peanut sauce a bit too sweet for me. I've aten here before and enjoyed their chicken pho but unfortunately it was a terrible experience this last time. We started off with appetizers that were good. My mother and I both ordered the chicken medium pho, but once we were served the soup it automatically smelled chemically and not appetizing. We took a sip before adding anything to it and it was not good at all. We thought if we added lime, Sriracha, and hoisin, it would be a little better but no. Then we took one bite of the noddles and they tasted so much like plastic and hard still. I politely went up to the guy in the front and said we aren't able to eat the pho, it takes like plastic. He nodded his head and as I was walking back to our table this man comes behind me with a full bag of noodles and grabs it with his hands and begins to argue with me that how dare I say it tastes like plastic...behinds to harass my mother and I while my young son is sitting at the table. I'm giving him the same energy his giving me. Listen, it's not like you made the noddles from scratch and you basically proved my point that they are in a air tight plastic bag and you didn't take the time to clean the noddles before serving. How unprofessional and scary that this man who im assuming is the owner began to verbally attack my mother, my son and I when I quietly and politely told him. I've enjoyed pho plenty of times over the years and never experienced such a chemically nasty plastic taste happen. His wife tried to defend him and say maybe you don't like garlic, I said it tastes like PLASTIC, not garlicky. I love garlic, that would've been better but no. You have to try the shrimp spring rolls if you're a fan of peanut sauce! I have tried at least 3 pho place in the area and this is by far the best in my books. The place is clean and big and can accomodate many people in your group. I always get the #1 special beef pho that comes in large bowl. It comes with meatballs, rare slice of steak. Brisket, flank, tendon and tripe. All the fixings that I love in my pho. The broth is so nice and you can clearly taste the bone that has simmered in the broth. I love to put in all the sude veggies it comes with and drizzle it with sriracha and hoisin sauce to add more flavor to my soup. Had a rare steak and noodle pho. Taste was fine. I'm not an expert but I have had my fair. Share a fall all over the bay area, especially in San Jose. What would bothersome about this place was the lack of hygiene. It has a rather large dining area, but I was forced to sit next to another party, since a whole row of tables hadn't been bussed while the only employee was sitting behind the cash register. When we entered, my dad made his way to the restroom. As he was walking out, I was gonna also use the restroom, but he told me that the toilet did not work. Either then went into the women's restroom, and after using it, I went to flush it, and it also did not flush. Someone have evidently used it already, since it was full of paper. This is not acceptable for a restaurant to have two restrooms with single toilets, and none of them working. Dirty dining area. I thought it was a good idea to eat here when I stopped to charge my car, but I guess next time it will be Applebee's. read more

This review is based on the delivery we got from Door Dash. The whole family got into like this annoying infection, we needed something to boost our immune system, so we decided to try this Pho place. We ended up getting two orders of the small beef and meatballs pho. The broth was was a little bit dark, not as flavorful but it was good combined with all the condiments as well as the meat and noodles. The noodles were actually on the softer side and easy to mix with the broth. The condiments were fresh, we got a larger amount of cilantro than other places. They could have given us more basil though, one sprig is not enough for two bowls. It was very well package for a to go order, which is not common whenever you order any type of dishes that contain broth. I came her September 4th. And let me tell ya. It was a mess. They have new owners so I was expecting good things. I was highly wrong. We got two orders of pho. One was the seafood and the other was a #4. Well the seafood pho came with one fish ball two tiny peices of squid and two shrimps. And all of her noodles where burnt and clumped together in a big nest. With a lovely garnish of hair. The number 4 came with two very tiny peices of rare stake. The broth had no flavor. Her shrimp spring rolls literally had the shrimps cut down the center and played on top. Not knowing someone would notice that there was only 3 shrimps in the order of 4 spring rolls. I got bbq beef spring rolls and had a very thin peace of meat played across the top. All lettuce no sprouts and the smallest pinch or rice noodles to fill them up. Spent 34$ on crap.
