I have reviewed this restaurant almost a year ago. I go back every other month and today was the day. I'm all in on their version of Singapore noodles with shrimp! It's such a simple dish but if you cook it yourself, it is a big hassle! So, I take a detour from I-10 west and head to Huebner Oaks. The food is always delicious and hot! Service is fast and friendly. The lady that takes the orders is so friendly, she wanted to share my noodles with me! The place was not busy when I went to order. It was after the lunch crowd has dissipated. The ambiance is quiet and just the busy noise of the kitchen crew making to go meals and diners like me. I love this place. It is truly my go to place for a delicious lunch when I'm in SA!

I met 2 new friends for lunch last Friday. Since we were going to the Regal Huebner Oaks movie theater to watch "Chosen," I suggested either @salata or @firewok. My friend, Ana, was good with @firewok. It's a simple Asian/Chinese restaurant where you order at the counter, take a number, and they serve food at your table. I ordered the Lemon Fish, which was tasty and just the right amount of food. Ana had the Teriyaki Bowl and Julie had the General Tso's dish. We all were happy with the proteins. The rice was slightly undercooked. Overall, a good experience!

A special order, the lettuce wraps as healthy as they could make it with just a little sauce love this place

I love this place because even though I am trying to eat healthy, they are so kind and willing to adjust their sauces to just the right amount for me. I've been coming here for over 10 years and I love the management. They are sweet as can be, they really care about their business and I love the food. It is so so so good.

Great lunch spot! I've been here a couple times - once with coworkers and most recently with my boyfriend, both times for lunch during the week. There is a decent amount of space, and they're quick to get tables clean during the lunch rush. It's a good space, not too crowded, really casual. The levers on the soda machine were broken for a couple of the drink options. I've had the chow fun, pad Thai, and spring rolls, and what I will say is that while the food is great seasoning wise, the trend I've noticed is that the noodles feel a little undercooked for my taste - not hard, but definitely not the soft super cooked texture I would prefer. I think it might just be cranking the food out for speed. However, nothing egregious - good lunch, and I will definitely be around more often!

This was the lo mein noodle with the hair.

This evening my family member received his lo mein meal per usual , however this time he was left with several hair strands tangled around his lo mein. When asked why this occurred the respondent did not know what a hair net was after we told him what had happened. I ask that all who patronize this establishment please be aware of the unsanitary practices in this establishment.

Lo que más me gustó fue el servicio. Las personas que nos atendieron nos trataron muy bien y eso es un plus. El ambiente del lugar es tranquilo, apenas para un lunch break.

I paid less than $10 for the chicken pad Thai. I didn't think the flavor was anything exceptional. But the portion size was HUGE. I was able to make a second meal from it. If you don't eat a lot in one sitting I'm sure you could make 3 meals from this portion. The service was standard. You order at the register. I like that there is seating inside and outside !

Another craving for their delicious, mouthwatering Tori Katsu Bento satisfied with yet another visit. Although most of the ladies on the waitstaff speak limited English, their warm hospitality and attentive service more than make up for any language barrier. Customer service has always been friendly, efficient, and welcoming, This tiny Japanese kitchen is almost always packed during lunch and dinner, which speaks volumes about its popularity. We visited again three weeks ago for lunch, and once again, we left completely satisfied. Ordering their freshly prepared Tori Katsu Bento has become a tradition for me. Every component of the meal comes together beautifully--the crisp shredded lettuce with its flavorful dressing. The small serving of pickled carrots and radish, the warm and comforting miso soup, and the fragrant toasted sesame seeds that you grind yourself before mixing them into the katsu sauce, enhancing its rich, nutty aroma. The star of the meal, of course, is Tori Katsu: perfectly crisp and golden in the outside, yet tender, juicy, and incredibly flavorful on the inside. It's satisfying and comforting bento that never disappoints. Hoka Hoka Fuku Japanese Kitchen remains one of my favorite places to enjoy authentic Japanese comfort food. With consistently delicious dishes, fast and efficient service, and excellent customer care, it's a restaurant and always look forward to visiting. It always hits the spot, and it's always consistently delicious.

The other people at our table also noted Dhani's attitude towards them in many other interactions. She made the rest of our party legitimately afraid to bother her for anything. The fish was mediocre at best, inconsistently portioned throughout multiple orders, and often not sliced through properly. First of all, they had a kid's meal, which is always a plus. We started with the Ika Geso Age (deep fried squid tentacles) which were a hit with everyone at the table. I ordered the plain ramen for my child, and they enjoyed the noodles once we put some on a plate and cut them up. My husband and I opted for the Kuro Fuku which we customized in our own ways. It was absolutely delicious, and we finished the entire bowl. I can't remember what my aunt had, yet she thoroughly enjoyed her meal. For dessert, we had the Chocolate Lava Cake which was so yummy! I'm not sure what type of syrup was on the ice cream, yet paired with the mini bundt chocolate cake that had a melted surprise in the middle, it was the perfect way to end the meal. The service was great and exactly what we'd expect from a restaurant focused on East Asian food. The atmosphere was nice, the seating was mindfully spaced for small parties of 2-4 people, and the wooden vertical slats on the windows to block the sun was a functionally, yet aesthetically beautiful choice with the Japanese restaurant. But hey, this is what the birthday girl wanted, so this is what she got. We came here after a full day at Six Flags, starving, and hunger definitely made for the best sauce. One thing we have to say about Wild Goji that is A+++: they have Hitachino yuzu ON DRAFT!! Hitachino is one of our favorite breweries, and we had tried this version when we are in Japan, and could not believe our luck finding it here! It's worth the price of admission alone. As for the food, well, it is what it is. Honestly, it's not terrible, but you can tell you're not getting the creme de la creme (unsurprisingly). We mostly stuck to tuna and salmon, but we did appreciate their spicy garlic edamame (not spicy at all) and their spicy seaweed salad (slightly spicy). We ordered tempura that we had to send back because the sweet potato wasn't fully cooked. Some of the dishes on the conveyer belt definitely looked unappetizing (like the omelet roll) and since we were towards the middle-end of the restaurant, we had to wait a while for food to come our way. Service is minimal, but the atmosphere is boisterous because these kinds of places are fun. We were smart to make a quick reservation on our way from Six Flags because the place was slammed by the time that we left. Three stars, but it'll remain a fond memory celebrating our daughter's 9th birthday.
