I don't usually write reviews, but this place was exceptionally bad. DON'T order the miso soup! My husband and I ordered two things...teriyaki chicken plate and the miso soup. The chicken came out cold and was a very small portion, the soup tasted of straight lime and soy sauce. We called back to ask about the chicken, and we're told it's not fresh, they just reheat it and it should go in the microwave. I have been a loyal customer at Fire Wok since 2012. Their food is good. The sauce is sometimes clumpy like it's been sitting around for a while. Their chicken is sometimes dry, but overall it's good. Their customer service, however, falls incredibly short. If you have any allergies, I would stay away from this place. The last few times I've ordered from Fire Wok, I've received fried rice instead of white rice. This last time, I called and let them know. I was also missing my drink which is not uncommon but not on the restaurant. They told me they would replace the rice and drink, but not the chicken. I figured they would replace the whole thing especially because I'm a loyal customer. I went today to get my replacement items and they told me they would only replace the white rice and drink. I wouldn't be getting the chicken unless I paid for it. I decided to walk out and not get anything. If they're treating customers, especially loyal customers, like this then I don't want anything else from them. If you order from DoorDash or Uber Eats, make sure you check your food because 75% of the time something is wrong or not good. Just be careful when ordering from here and if you have a problem, don't count on good customer service. read more

Ordered orange chicken, received general tso. The cheese wontons were over fried, and no flavor, just cream cheese. Tried contacting the business, but there's no simple way to contact them. Plus a half a star. This place is really good for the price and portion size. I have had several different dishes and all have been pretty good. Nothing amazing but compared to some of the other Chinese food chains in the area this is the cream of the crop. Normally I just get teriyaki chicken which is my fav. Simple and tasty. Tried other options today and all were okay. The rating is based off the restaurant. Sad to say it seems a little dirty inside. Maybe it's just me but it seems that way. Just needs a good cleaning I think. And the salad bar deal is just a waste of food to me. I can't see anyone eat what's in those containers. First time customer and it will be my last time. Walked in and had to wait for the staff to stop cleaning before they took my order. At first I thought the place was closed. The dinning room was a complete mess. Very dirty. I wonder when the last time the health department conducted an inspection. The fountain drink was also very filthy. Food was terrible. It appeared as though it was cooked throughly. I did complain to someone who said they were the manager but I later found out he just an employee who lied about being a manager. Fire Wok offers a mix of stir fry and generic Asian food in a contemporary, yet casual, setting. I have been to this location several times and always had an enjoyable experience. The first couple of times I went, I ordered something on the menu, like the sweet and sour chicken or lemon chicken, both of which come to about $7. The last time I went, however, I decided to mix it up and ordered their stir crazy bowl, which is a mix of vegetables, meat, noodles and sauce according to your liking and pretty similar to what you would find at a Mongolian grill. I was impressed with their vegetable selection. They had more varieties of peas than I even knew existed. The restaurant is located in the parking lot near AMC Huebner Oaks 24 and actually faces away from I-10, so it can be a little tricky to find. Oh, and yes, their sign looks like is says Fare Wok... I'm not sure why this is, but go with it. We like Asian food and Fire Wok is one place we've been back to numerous times because of its consistent quality. I'll keep on coming. read more

I should of listened to my gut when I walked in. The make your own stir fry bar was half empty and the veggies that were there looked old. After we ordered I visited the ladies room. It smelled like natural gas and it was messy and there was a whole in the cieling. We sat at our table and there was a long crack coming down the wall. Food arrived but the egg oup was Luke Warm , the stir fry was bland, the egg rolls where over fried and the orange chicken was dry. When my husband asked for a refund for his make your own stir fry the manager actually said " you made it your self?! " I was shocked. I had my mom pick up my food to find out that this is the 5th time I have had my order messed up by this location. I have an allergy to corn and baby corn. My mom said she called and asked for no baby corn 3 separate times. She checks the food and everything and doesn't see any corn. I got an unsweetened tea, only to discover it was sweet. When I pointed out to the manager that the dispenser said "unsweet," he said "yea we do that and I don't know why." Um what? He then told me just to pour out my tea and replace it with unsweet which said "sweet" on the dispenser. The hell? Management really needs to work on employees. In kitchen there is only one person wearing some type of hair restraint: cap. There is a lot of foul language in Spanish being said throughout entire visit. Tea containers not being properly washed, can taste the dirty nozzle residue that builds up. Lemons are either not being cut properly to where they look old, or its just old lemons. Food is fresh and good tasting which is the only reason it this establishment receives 3 stars. My husband and I were out on a date tonight and this was our first night stopping at this restaurant. The food was nice and the restaurant was clean. The soda fountains were partially functional. At the end of our meal, we refilled our sodas only for my husband to have a BABY ROACH in his soda! I reported this to the manager and she took his cup and offered no replacement or compensation.
