We went to Perry's to celebrate a birthday. The service was great with a modern vibe. The bar was very busy too, but we sat in the restaurant. You start off with complimentary bread and butter which is just average. I split with trio steak medallions with my sister, these were great, with the crab one being the best. The sides were decent. The Mac and cheese has a chipotle flavor, which I don't care for. The Brussel Sprouts were fine, but could have been crispier and tossed in more sauce. The creamed spinach was really good and the best side we had. We appreciated the complimentary birthday dessert which was a marshmallow bread pudding. This was huge and the chocolate was very rich, but delicious! Easy to share with up to 5-6 people. Overall, the food was good, but is pricey.

This was my first time at Perry Steakhouse, and overall, it was a really nice experience. As soon as you pull up in the parking lot, you can tell that it's going to be a nice restaurant just by the grand size of the building and the valet guys right out front. We arrived right at 4:00 because that's when their happy hour starts, and we found a seat at the bar. Within five minutes, the bar was completely full. We ordered drinks and three items off their happy hour menu. We went with the Steak Bite tater tots, the Broiled seafood mushrooms, and the sliced fillet sliders that come with a side of crispy onions that are everything! All the dishes tasted great, and the bartenders were so nice. Sean Dallas and Autumn took very good care of us. We will definitely be back for dinner to try out their regular menu.

Such a disappointment this time. My husband had a dry hamburger with super fatty bacon and cold fries. Me, first Salmon, overdone AND for $45 served on a bread plate. They tried to make it right, totally raw this time and still on a bread plate. For the price, I was expecting a nice presentation like every other time we were here. Down hill fast.

We had never been here before and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. I booked an online reservation a week in advance for our anniversary dinner, and we were seated quickly. I loved that they put flower petals on our table, which was definitely a highlight! They also offered us an Anniversary menu, but we declined. The restaurant was packed with families and corporate crowds, so it didn't feel very romantic. The complimentary bread and whipped butter were decent, but the wait times were terrible. It took 30 minutes for our appetizer and an hour and fifteen minutes into our reservation for our steak and lamb chops. Our sides weren't even ready when the main entrees arrived (though the manager did comp them for the wait). The mac n cheese arrived room temperature and the brussel sprouts were so dry. On top of that, the steak was overly salted. Since we ran out of time, I asked for my lamb to be packed to go. I was frustrated to find that the staff packed my lamb in the same container as my husband's leftover steak. As someone who doesn't eat beef, I had to throw my food away because the juices crossed. For that alone, I wanted to leave one star. Given the nice staff, three stars is generous, but we won't be back.

Hubby took us out for my birthday dinner and we had a fabulous time . Whitney was a great waitress very helpful in helping us decide. She had a great attitude- we had oysters on the 1/2 shell and scallops with pork belly for appetizers then we ordered the most fantastic pork chop I've ever had along with filet minon topped with crab and banana foster for dessert. Restaurant is beautiful inside- it was a perfect birthday night! Get the pork chop!!

Had a mixed experience at this beautiful restaurant. The staff was excellent from start to finish. Since it was hubby's birthday, we wanted to order something memorable. We asked the server to start the Wellington immediately since we knew it takes longer. Unfortunately it still took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our entrees. The pork chop was tasty and tender and the apple sauce was amazing. I honestly could have a bowl of that haha. Unfortunately the Wellington was overly salty. The outside pastry was very browned but the pastry underneath was undercooked. When I cut into it, it was very loose and completely fell apart. This was very disappointing as I had been looking forward to it. To their credit, they had removed the Wellington from our bill without us even asking them to. The Caesar salad was very salty with too much Parmesan and not enough dressing. I did like the presentation with a couple of anchovies on top. Steak and tater totter bites was pretty good. We ended up taking the fudge chocolate cake home and it was very good. The excellent service and how they handled the issue with the Wellington left us with a positive impression despite the disappointing food. I would go back and order the pork chop again with extra applesauce.

This was my first experience at Perrry's Steakhouse at their new Gilbert San Tan Village location. It was a girls night out. Love the high ceilings the open space. It was pretty noisy inside the restaurant when I first arrived, the restaurant was full and the main dining room doesn't appear to have acoustical dampening. We were seated in a smaller side room. While the glass doors were open, it provided a more intimate setting and the carpeting and small space made for a much more bearable atmosphere to have nice dinner conversation. We each had the 4 for $44 promotion that is currently offered. 4 Course meal from Prix Fixe choices. I chose their seasonal soup, which was an Artichoke Potato Leek Soup with Truffle Oil, Broiled Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms, 18 oz Perry's Famous Pork Chop (lunch portion) and the Chocolate Crunch Tower. The standouts from my meal was the soup and the pork chop. The flavors from both of these was superb!! The mushrooms and the dessert were fine, pretty standard steakhouse dessert far, but just nothing worth really noting. Side note: My friend ordered the seasonal dessert, Orange Vanilla Cream Cheesecake. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It was something different, flavor combination that I have not ever seen or tried for a cheesecake, and it was pretty good. The service from the moment we walked in was attentive and friendly. Thank you Ray for a wonderful first experience at Perry's. Definitely coming back to try more!

I recommended this place because espresso Marr are one of my favorite drinks. They have a salted caramel espresso martini, which was excellent at one of my best tasted drinks. I've had it quite some time. The ambience was excellent the dining room, the lighting all the decor, the wine locker in the middle of the dining room Private rooms are very discreet. The service was top shelf. They do have valet parking complementary and the food was excellent. We ordered a ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. The mushrooms were very good and the corn Brûlé was tasty. The char grilled oysters were OK. The oysters were sorta small, they had a lot of filling in them which was tasty but the oyster I could not taste that well because it was small. Also, I would highly recommend that you check this out. It's a great alternative to have a drive to Scottsdale for a fine dining experience right here in the neighborhood in Gilbert. Returned for another visit, this time with 8 friends for dinner. Our server Meagan was excellent and so was the dinner. Stayed with the pork chop and added potatoes au gratin. Wow, were they good. Ordered the seasonal cheesecake again to go, along with more Au gratin potatoes. Keep up the good work.

I really wanted to love this place so we didn't have to drive to Scottsdale area for a nice steakhouse, but it didn't meet the mark. I'll start with the pros: service was phenomenal and reservations were easy to make! The lobster bisque was the best I've ever had and I loved the charred veggies. My husband ordered two old fashioned's (not sure why his weren't smoked and the rest around us were?) and I enjoyed the Dr. L riesling. Now for the cons: bread service is a nice touch, but it was very normal and nothing special (at least add sea salt). The steak had a nice char and cooked to perfection, but it felt a little tough for filet mignon. The lobster tails could use some serious seasoning- I had to cover in lemon juice and butter. The crème brûlée was a bit runny, and my husband said the fudge was too much cocoa. As for the atmosphere- this was the major miss for me. The music was SO loud, I felt like I had to shout. The waitress even misunderstood the wine bottle I ordered, I felt terrible! Also, the walk to the bathroom area and inside of it was incredibly sticky and was turning brown in the main walking path- ew. The staff didn't enforce the dress code and after we spent over $400 after tip, I would expect to not see cut off Jean shorts. I'm guessing it's because they had the private room reserved, but guests still walked inside and to the room/through the restaurant to the bathroom.

Had dinner here last night with my mom and sister and booking a reservation online was quick and easy. We arrived right on time at 6:30pm and checked in with the hostesses. We waited a few minutes and we were then seated. Our server came over right away and introduced herself. She welcomed us in, gave us the 411 on the menu, and gave us time to look it over. We started out with 3 cocktail drinks. We ordered: 1 PERRY BERRY MULE Tito's Handmade vodka, fresh-pressed lime and cranberry juices, freshly-muddled strawberries, topped with ginger ale 1 THYME LEMON DROP Ketel One vodka, St-Germain Elderflower liqueur, fresh-pressed lemon juice, and freshly muddled thyme, rimmed with sugar 1 RASPBERRY REFRESHER Perry's Reserve Rosé, Hendrick's, fresh-pressed lemon juice, and freshly muddled raspberry and lychee Complimentary warm bread and butter were dropped off while we waited for our drinks. For our entrees we ordered: 2x 3 - COURSE PORK CHOP (Sunday special) - Caesar salad, pork chop, and side of mashed potatoes 1x CHARGRILLED SALMON - Served with lemon dill butter and cauliflower mousse 1x PERRY'S SIGNATURE FRIED ASPARAGUS - Topped with jumbo lump crabmeat 1x Rocky road pudding cake The salads came out first and they were DELCIOUS. The lettuce was served cold, crisp, and the dressing was perfect. The pork chops are HUGE. They were cut table side and the servers did a great job informing us what pieces they were cutting. They were flavorful and fell right off the bone, they were SOOO good. My sister enjoyed her salmon and said it had good flavor. The side of mashed potatoes and our side of asparagus were both delicious as well. For dessert, we tried the rocky road pudding cake and it was such a GREAT treat. Our server was the BEST as she was friendly, attentive, and very kind to my mom. All the servers kept our waters filled and toped off. The inside is beautiful and I enjoyed being able to look into the kitchen, we had a great time!

For a new and upcoming restaurant, it seems like they are getting really good traction. We went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but the space was well laid out. Our server was really good and attentive so 5 stars on that! The drinks were all amazing. The old fashioned is a must try here! Now to the food: We waited a while for our food and my table ordered steaks, I had chicken. The Filet Perry was amazing per my partner, my friends had a 20oz cowboy ribeye and the filet & Lobster tail which they said was heavenly. My chicken had good flavor but was dry unfortunately. I didn't send back to the kitchen because I knew it would take a long time to get back. Overall good experience for a brand new restaurant getting into the rhythm but unfortunate that the one thing that saved the chicken from being edible was that there was sauce on it.

I went in a Monday and it was pretty busy. I highly recommend reservations especially if it's a weekend evening. I sat at the bar and had such a great time! The bartending staff is phenomenal. My only complaint from the evening is that it took an abnormal amount of time for my apps to come out. The food and drinks were superb and I look forward to going back to try some more of their menu! The bar is great for a chill evening and the dining area would be really good for a date night, celebration or business dinner.

Disappointing Anniversary Dinner - Expected More for the Price…read more My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here after getting recommendations from friends who spoke highly of the place. Since we're in the Gilbert area, we loved the idea of a great steakhouse without the drive to Scottsdale. We went in with high expectations -- we're no strangers to special occasion dining, so we knew what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in almost every way. The ambience and service felt more like a polished chain restaurant than the upscale dining experience the prices suggest. For a $300-$400 dinner for two, you expect a certain level of attentiveness and flow -- and we just didn't get it. After our appetizers, we noticed we never received the pretzel bread everyone raves about. When I asked our waiter, he said they had just finished baking a fresh batch. When it arrived, it was cold -- so that clearly wasn't the case. We also had to flag our waiter down to take our entrée order, which shouldn't happen at this price point. My steak was fine -- just fine. My wife's fish was the same. Nothing memorable, nothing that made us feel like the bill was justified. By the end of the meal we were both ready to leave. Our waiter did offer a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was a nice gesture, but we were already checked out mentally and chose to go somewhere else to finish the evening on a better note. If you're in the East Valley looking for a truly special dinner, I'd honestly just make the drive to Mastro's Oceans Club or Steak 44.

Tempura Takeover did not disappoint. We ordered outside at the food truck and they brought the food into the bar. I got the sloppy lobster burger. Hubby got two bulgogi tacos and a side of fries. There were no prices on the menu, but the total without tip was $48. My lobster burger was divine--chunks of tempura lobster, perfectly, cooked. I'm not going to guess what was in either sauce but they were both excellent and made the dish. Fries were solid. Downsides, it was about a 30 minute wait, which was clearly communicated. We got there about 5 minutes after open and there was a small line. There's probably strategy to make it go faster--get there at open or 30 to 45 minutes after. Food seemed to come out fast after the initial rush. Also, i would have liked ketchup as an option for the fries.

They post their locations on https://tempuratakeover.com/ I'm not a big fan of a lot of sushi or fusion sauces so was asking about the Takeover sauce. Ahdana, the owner, clearly took pride in the sauce and offered me a sample. I was gearing up to politely say it's not for me but I actually loved it! I would buy a bottle to have at home if I could. (hint: need this in stores!) I got the shrimp taco and the bulgogi taco. The shrimp taco was my favorite! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and there was plenty of it. The tempura had a great crunch and the sauce was just the right amount of spicy. It's definitely on my top tacos list and I'll be popping by whenever I can. I'm already craving it again!

We usually come here for birthdays due to their loyalty deal and it's totally worth it. We always order steak and we've tried a few of them. However this time around we chose very similar steaks to keep the price the same and use the deal. Both New York Strip. The baked potato is so good! I highly recommend this and make sure to say yes to the bread before dinner. The hosts and servers are very well trained, respectful and attentive. No complaints from me. Also the interior and decor is classy but not over the top or old and gothic for a steakhouse. Also tables are isolated enough so it's not super loud and pretty good privacy between other groups The only recommendations I can make is to ask the lady at the table next to us with the pungent perfume to take it easy jk! You can tell the management cares and are very involved. It's nice to go a restaurant that's properly and well managed. It's just an easy and low stress experience.

I got the peppercorn steak with a baked potato. The kiddos got their kids meal. One with cheesy pasta as they call it but it's really just Mac and cheese. My other son got chicken tenders. Their kids meal is a great deal as they get a veggie tray which has carrots, celery and crackers, their choice of an entree, a drink, and even ice cream! I wish I could just come and order a kids meal. The best part is the ciabatta bread that comes to your table before the meal arrives. If used to be sourdough but unfortunately they changed it. It's still good bread though! Service was on point and food came out fast! It's a nice restaurant and lightly dimmed inside.

Everything is hand crafted and you can tell the company/staff pours into creating a great menu and experience. My fiance and I were in for lunch our server was Kyle T, he was amazing! He explained the menu and what certain dishes were. Beyond amazing service, our glasses of water were kept full the entire time same with our bellies!! The manager was also amazing they took great care of us. I 100% recommend North Italia in Gilbert. The ambience was great as well, everything is very clean and welcoming! The experience we had left us so happy and grateful for the people we encountered. Thank you!!!

It was NOT what I was expecting... in the absolute best way!!!…read more We went to North Italia to celebrate two birthdays, and what I thought was going to be just another Italian restaurant turned out to be so much more. The ambiance, the service, the wait time, the food -- everything was a 10/10! Would I recommend this spot? ABSOLUTELY. We will definitely be back! I ordered a pasta dish that our server told me was amazing. I've heard that at other restaurants before, only for the dish to arrive and be just... alright. But this one was everything she said it would be AND MORE! You could actually taste every individual flavor. It wasn't one big mashup where everything tasted the same -- each flavor made its own appearance and complemented the others perfectly. Easily one of those dishes you're still thinking about after you leave! The rest of our table ordered a little bit of everything, from pizza and chicken to seafood, and not a single dish disappointed. When they say FRESH! They mean it! They fresh drinks are amazing as well. They were also incredibly accommodating to the children in our group. They provided drawing tablets for the little ones, which was such a thoughtful touch and definitely appreciated by the parents! They also took the time to recognize both birthdays, which made our celebration feel even more special. Between the atmosphere, the service, the attention to detail, and food that genuinely lived up to the hype, North Italia completely exceeded my expectations. 10/10 experience and absolutely somewhere I'd recommend -- whether you're celebrating something special or just looking for a really good meal. We'll definitely be returning! Glad that a random selection just became a staple restaurant.

A Birthday Dinner Done Right at Origen in Gilbert!…read more I made reservations to celebrate my wife's birthday at Origen in Gilbert, and from the moment we walked through the door, it felt like we had picked the right place. First, the decor and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful. Origen has that perfect balance of upscale elegance and warmth. The wood, lighting, textures, and Mexican-inspired design create an atmosphere that feels sophisticated without feeling stuffy. There is clearly a lot of attention to detail throughout the restaurant, and it makes the entire experience feel special. Add in the live saxophone music and energy of the room, and it feels like you're going somewhere for an experience--not simply going out to eat. Then came the food. Origen does a fantastic job combining modern Mexican flavors with a steakhouse experience. The menu has plenty of choices, but everything feels intentional and elevated. The flavors were bold without being overwhelming, and the presentation made each course feel like part of the experience. From the appetizers to the entrees, we were impressed with the quality and attention to detail. And if you're a cocktail person, don't skip the cocktails. The drink menu is creative, and the cocktails aren't simply colorful drinks designed to look good--they actually have flavor and character. The mezcal-based options especially fit the restaurant's Mexican-inspired concept beautifully. It's the kind of cocktail program that makes you want to try something different instead of ordering your usual drink. But honestly, what made our night was the service. Our waitress, Ash, was phenomenal. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and--most importantly--knowledgeable about the menu. She didn't just read descriptions to us; she took the time to explain the dishes, answer our questions, and make recommendations based on what we were interested in trying. That made ordering much easier, especially with a menu that has so many interesting choices. But what really stood out was how much care Ash took to make sure my wife had a great birthday experience. She paid attention to the little things. She made my wife feel celebrated without making the evening feel forced or overdone. There was a genuine warmth to the way she interacted with us, and you could tell she understood that this wasn't just another dinner--it was an important occasion for us. That matters. Anyone can bring food to a table. Great hospitality is about making people feel seen, welcomed, and taken care of. Ash absolutely did that for us. My wife had a wonderful birthday, and as her husband, that's really what I wanted most from the evening. Origen gave us the beautiful setting, great food, creative cocktails, and atmosphere. Ash put the personal touch on the experience that made the night memorable. If you're looking for a place in Gilbert for a birthday, anniversary, date night, or just a night when you want to dress up and have a really good dinner, I'd definitely put Origen on the list. And if you're lucky enough to have Ash as your server, you're in good hands. Five stars from us. We'll definitely be back.

For months, this location has been on a radar based on seeing various Yelp friends post about this…read morelocation. I was intrigued for both their sushi selection and their cocktail menu. I figured a Sunday afternoon would be calm, so I decided to pop in for a solo lunch. What I Ordered: - Yuzu Mule: The drink was delicious and refreshing, so I ordered a second one. Definitely order if I return as well. - Hamachi Lime Roll: This roll had an odd texture to me, and ultimately, I grabbed the rest to go as it was a little off putting to me. The flavor was decent though I found myself wishing there was more crunch with tempura flakes or panko bread crumbs on top. - Crazy Roll: The winner between the two rolls in terms of flavor and preference. Though, I wish this roll had the spicy mayo the other one had. I'd definitely order again and ask for a side of spicy mayo that I could add to the roll. Love the soy paper option! As for ambiance? I thought country music was an incredibly odd choice for this establishment hence the 4 stars versus 5 star review. I'd prefer more traditional Japanese music, or heck, even some J-Rock over American country music. I'm guessing Sunday afternoon is a slower time, so it was employee choice. Overall, I'd visit again when in the area and recommend to friends/family.

Course 1: Hamachi Peach Crudo peach amazu / pickled daikon/ smoked tomato oil / red pepper. This dish was right in my alley! I love Hamachi, and peach! And this is my first time having this combo in a crudo. It was many flavors all combined in one dish. 10/10 . **Please add this dish to your permanent menu! Course 2: Spicy Scallop Futomaki/hokkaido scallop / benishoga / chili crisp/ takuan / wasabi mayo. This roll tastes great, scallop tastes fresh and I love the way it was seasoned. However the rice around it was too much that I couldn't taste the scallop fully. I wouldn't get this dish again because of the rice around it was too much. Course 3: Ocean Trout Mi-Cuit/ okinawa potato croquette / citrus cream/fried capers / crispy salmon skin. I love the cream and the capers in this dish. The fish is seared. Although not much flavor in the fish itself but because of the sauce, it complements the dish well. Course 4: Dessert - Yuzu Lychee Sorbet/vanilla whisky hojicha granita. Oh my gosh, this is my favorite dish! It was so good and refreshing! The yuzu sorbet was tart and creamy. And the hojicha ice underneath was delicious! I would come back to the restaurant just for this dish and the first dish!
