There is nothing about this restaurant I would change except that it was loud, but that's what happens when a place is great and lots of people go there! We went to Perry's to celebrate a birthday. The service was great with a modern vibe. The bar was very busy too, but we sat in the restaurant. You start off with complimentary bread and butter which is just average. I split with trio steak medallions with my sister, these were great, with the crab one being the best. The sides were decent. The Mac and cheese has a chipotle flavor, which I don't care for. The Brussel Sprouts were fine, but could have been crispier and tossed in more sauce. The creamed spinach was really good and the best side we had. We appreciated the complimentary birthday dessert which was a marshmallow bread pudding. This was huge and the chocolate was very rich, but delicious! Easy to share with up to 5-6 people. Overall, the food was good, but is pricey. read more

This was my first time at Perry Steakhouse, and overall, it was a really nice experience. As soon as you pull up in the parking lot, you can tell that it's going to be a nice restaurant just by the grand size of the building and the valet guys right out front. We arrived right at 4:00 because that's when their happy hour starts, and we found a seat at the bar. Within five minutes, the bar was completely full. We ordered drinks and three items off their happy hour menu. We went with the Steak Bite tater tots, the Broiled seafood mushrooms, and the sliced fillet sliders that come with a side of crispy onions that are everything! All the dishes tasted great, and the bartenders were so nice. Sean Dallas and Autumn took very good care of us. We will definitely be back for dinner to try out their regular menu. read more

We had never been here before and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. I booked an online reservation a week in advance for our anniversary dinner, and we were seated quickly. I loved that they put flower petals on our table, which was definitely a highlight! They also offered us an Anniversary menu, but we declined. The restaurant was packed with families and corporate crowds, so it didn't feel very romantic. The complimentary bread and whipped butter were decent, but the wait times were terrible. It took 30 minutes for our appetizer and an hour and fifteen minutes into our reservation for our steak and lamb chops. Our sides weren't even ready when the main entrees arrived (though the manager did comp them for the wait). The mac n cheese arrived room temperature and the brussel sprouts were so dry. On top of that, the steak was overly salted. Since we ran out of time, I asked for my lamb to be packed to go. I was frustrated to find that the staff packed my lamb in the same container as my husband's leftover steak. As someone who doesn't eat beef, I had to throw my food away because the juices crossed. For that alone, I wanted to leave one star. Given the nice staff, three stars is generous, but we won't be back. read more

Had a mixed experience at this beautiful restaurant. The staff was excellent from start to finish. Since it was hubby's birthday, we wanted to order something memorable. We asked the server to start the Wellington immediately since we knew it takes longer. Unfortunately it still took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our entrees. The pork chop was tasty and tender and the apple sauce was amazing. I honestly could have a bowl of that haha. Unfortunately the Wellington was overly salty. The outside pastry was very browned but the pastry underneath was undercooked. When I cut into it, it was very loose and completely fell apart. This was very disappointing as I had been looking forward to it. To their credit, they had removed the Wellington from our bill without us even asking them to. The Caesar salad was very salty with too much Parmesan and not enough dressing. I did like the presentation with a couple of anchovies on top. Steak and tater totter bites was pretty good. We ended up taking the fudge chocolate cake home and it was very good. The excellent service and how they handled the issue with the Wellington left us with a positive impression despite the disappointing food. This was my first experience at Perrry's Steakhouse at their new Gilbert San Tan Village location. It was a girls night out. Love the high ceilings the open space. It was pretty noisy inside the restaurant when I first arrived, the restaurant was full and the main dining room doesn't appear to have acoustical dampening. We were seated in a smaller side room. While the glass doors were open, it provided a more intimate setting and the carpeting and small space made for a much more bearable atmosphere to have nice dinner conversation. We each had the 4 for $44 promotion that is currently offered. 4 Course meal from Prix Fixe choices. I chose their seasonal soup, which was an Artichoke Potato Leek Soup with Truffle Oil, Broiled Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms, 18 oz Perry's Famous Pork Chop (lunch portion) and the Chocolate Crunch Tower. The standouts from my meal was the soup and the pork chop. The flavors from both of these was superb!! The mushrooms and the dessert were fine, pretty standard steakhouse dessert far, but just nothing worth really noting. Side note: My friend ordered the seasonal dessert, Orange Vanilla Cream Cheesecake. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It was something different, flavor combination that I have not ever seen or tried for a cheesecake, and it was pretty good. The service from the moment we walked in was attentive and friendly. I recommended this place because espresso Marr are one of my favorite drinks. They have a salted caramel espresso martini, which was excellent at one of my best tasted drinks. I've had it quite some time. The ambience was excellent the dining room, the lighting all the decor, the wine locker in the middle of the dining room Private rooms are very discreet. The service was top shelf. They do have valet parking complementary and the food was excellent. We ordered a ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. The mushrooms were very good and the corn Brûlé was tasty. The char grilled oysters were OK. The oysters were sorta small, they had a lot of filling in them which was tasty but the oyster I could not taste that well because it was small. Also, I would highly recommend that you check this out. It's a great alternative to have a drive to Scottsdale for a fine dining experience right here in the neighborhood in Gilbert. I really wanted to love this place so we didn't have to drive to Scottsdale area for a nice steakhouse, but it didn't meet the mark. I'll start with the pros: service was phenomenal and reservations were easy to make! The lobster bisque was the best I've ever had and I loved the charred veggies. My husband ordered two old fashioned's (not sure why his weren't smoked and the rest around us were?) and I enjoyed the Dr. L riesling. Now for the cons: bread service is a nice touch, but it was very normal and nothing special (at least add sea salt). The steak had a nice char and cooked to perfection, but it felt a little tough for filet mignon. The lobster tails could use some serious seasoning- I had to cover in lemon juice and butter. The crème brûlée was a bit runny, and my husband said the fudge was too much cocoa. As for the atmosphere- this was the major miss for me. The music was SO loud, I felt like I had to shout. The waitress even misunderstood the wine bottle I ordered, I felt terrible! Also, the walk to the bathroom area and inside of it was incredibly sticky and was turning brown in the main walking path- ew. The staff didn't enforce the dress code and after we spent over $400 after tip, I would expect to not see cut off Jean shorts. Our server was really good and attentive so 5 stars on that! The drinks were all amazing. The old fashioned is a must try here! Now to the food: We waited a while for our food and my table ordered steaks, I had chicken. The Filet Perry was amazing per my partner, my friends had a 20oz cowboy ribeye and the filet & Lobster tail which they said was heavenly. My chicken had good flavor but was dry unfortunately. I didn't send back to the kitchen because I knew it would take a long time to get back. My husband and I visited Perry's Steakhouse & Grille Gilbert during opening week and had a wonderful experience. First impressions matter, and Ashley was one of the best hostesses we have encountered in a long time. She warmly welcomed us, kindly accommodated us with a great table, and set the tone for an exceptional evening. Our server, Jacob, was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the evening. Having enjoyed Perry's in Texas over the years, we were especially interested in seeing how the concept would translate to Arizona. We are happy to say the Gilbert team has done an excellent job preserving the quality, hospitality, and attention to detail that have made Perry's so successful. One of the highlights of the evening was the wine and champagne selection. We were delighted to find Ruinart Blanc de Blancs on the menu and enjoyed two bottles during dinner. It was a pleasant surprise to see a champagne program of this caliber so early after opening. If I could make one suggestion, I would love to see Ruinart Brut added in the future as well. The Beef Carpaccio was fresh and beautifully presented. The Blue Point Oysters were excellent, and the Pork Chop Bites were incredibly tender and flavorful. The applesauce pairing worked perfectly. I ordered the Japanese A5 Wagyu, which was cooked exactly as requested and showcased exceptional quality. My husband enjoyed the Koji Aged Steak, which offered wonderful flavor and tenderness and was a standout entrée. For dessert, we enjoyed the lemon bar and took home the Seven Finger High Chocolate Cake for the kids. Both were fantastic. We would also like to recognize Kevin, Philip, Kristin T., Knicki, TK, and Devon. The management team was visible, engaged, and clearly invested in creating a great guest experience. You could see the teamwork throughout the restaurant, with everyone working together to ensure things ran smoothly. Opening a restaurant is never easy, especially when bringing a well established concept into a new state. Five days after opening, the Gilbert team appears to have found its footing remarkably quickly, and great ambiance. I've been to several Perry's locations in the United States. I was thrilled to know that one opened in Gilbert and we went last night to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. Mr. Perry himself was present, and he was pitching in as if he worked there as a busser. He was meticulously reviewing the dining room, which was packed and helping pitch in wherever he could. That alone says so much for how these restaurants are run. Their training program must be top-tier, because our server has obviously only worked at this location for the two months it has been open, and yet it seemed as though she had been there for years. Stephanie Ponce is her name and her hospitality was unmatched. Every single recommendation she made was spot on for, not only my taste and what I was looking for but also the amazing flavor is indescribable. She was kind and thoughtful and attentive the entire evening. It has been a very long time since I have had such an experience at a restaurant that their food was so incredibly enjoyable and flavorful. Everything was cooked to perfection and they clearly care so much about their patrons. As an example, I made the reservation on OpenTable and OpenTable asks if you're celebrating something while you're there. I always note the occasion when I book a restaurant. It is literally been years since a restaurant even cared that I was there celebrating a birthday. Or said anything about it. The hostess acknowledged it, with enthusiasm, Stephanie acknowledged it immediately upon arriving at our table. They brought my fiancé's dessert with a candle, which was very sweet. And a handwritten birthday card from Perry's, that was so thoughtful. These details matter. My fiancé met Mr. Perry and he signed his birthday card for him. He was so humble and approachable and you can see why their amazing business has grown from a butcher shop 47 years ago to the fine dining experience that it is now. He cares deeply about their restaurants. The other thing I noticed is though the prices are representative of the food and the quality. They are much lower than other fine dining restaurants. Every single thing we had was remarkable. The drinks, the appetizers, the meals, the desserts. It was truly such an exceptional and enjoyable experience. Each employee we came in contact with was thoughtful and professional. Plates were cleared immediately, but they asked and didn't just take away food we were still eating. Even though they were booked solid, we didn't feel rushed, and our food was perfectly timed. I understand now why their pork chop is so famous, but every single thing we had was incredible. Our server this time was Gabriel, and just when we thought our previous server, Kelli, had set the bar high, Gabriel somehow raised it even higher. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. However, what truly stood out wasn't the mistakes, but the way Gabriel handled them. I am so glad I tried this new addition to the Gilbert restaurant scene! When I went they had a 44 year anniversary $44 special which was a great way to taste many things on the menu. My wife and I recently tried Perry's in Gilbert, and first off, the restaurant is beautiful. The East Valley definitely needed a place like this, and the atmosphere feels upscale without being stuffy. We had reservations and were seated within about five minutes, which was impressive because the place was packed. It took a little while for our server to make it over, but we were in no rush. My wife ordered a Pinot Grigio, and I ordered a Diet Coke. My Diet Coke arrived exactly as advertised. Her Pinot Grigio arrived looking suspiciously like red wine. Minor issue, no big deal. We figured someone in the bar was feeling creative. We ordered the prime ribeye, the surf and turf pasta, potatoes au gratin, and Brussels sprouts. Then we settled in, had a great conversation, and watched every table around us get their orders taken and receive bread. We did not get bread. Fifteen minutes passed. Then 20. Then 30. Eventually, our server noticed the wine mistake, apologized, and brought the correct glass. Still no bread. A manager came over, apologized for the delay, and kindly offered to comp our appetizers. Very generous, except we had not ordered any appetizers. We had ordered extra sides. He apologized again and disappeared into the very beautiful restaurant. Our food finally arrived about an hour after we ordered. The food was good, but my medium-rare ribeye was light pink with no red, so it had clearly moved on to medium without telling me. My wife enjoyed the surf and turf pasta. The potatoes au gratin and Brussels sprouts were easily the stars of the meal, which is a little concerning for a restaurant known for steaks and chops. When the vegetables and potatoes are carrying the team, something has gone off-script. Perry's is gorgeous and has a lot of potential, so hopefully this was just an off night or opening growing pains. But between the mystery wine, missing bread, hour-long wait, and overcooked steak, we are not sure we will be back. read more

This was our fourth visit, and unfortunately, this evening was another disappointing experience. I do want to point out that our third visit was great. They pretty much nailed it that night, and a big part of that was the bar staff. The service was great, the food came out right, and we left feeling like they had finally put everything together. That experience is honestly one of the reasons we were excited to come back for a fourth time. Tonight, we sat at the bar again, but right from the beginning, the staff just didn't seem very thrilled about serving us food. They were out of the Koji Filet, so we decided to give the Koji Lamb a shot. We ordered it medium rare, but it came out well, well done. The iron skillet also wasn't sizzling when it arrived, which made us wonder if the dish had been sitting in the window for a while before being served. We sent the lamb back, and they didn't seem overly concerned that it had been cooked so far past what we ordered. The bartender also seemed visibly annoyed that we sent it back. At that point, I just asked them to replace it with a filet because the lamb didn't seem very tender although that could have simply been because it was so overcooked. The replacement filet was actually very good, and this time the iron plate came out sizzling like you would expect. Unfortunately, it took about 40 minutes to get the replacement meal. By then, our kids were completely over sitting there, and once again, all of our sides were cold because they had been sitting there while we waited for the new steak. It wasn't even that busy so that seemed a little odd. What was probably most disappointing was that after the issue with the lamb, the manager seemed too busy when she came back to make sure the replacement meal was right. I told her we have had two over cooked meals out of 4, she didn't really listen. We've now been here four times because we genuinely want to like this place. Our third visit proved they're capable of delivering a great experience, especially with the right bar staff. The food can clearly be very good when it's prepared and served correctly. Unfortunately, the consistency in both the food and service just hasn't been there, and when you're paying these prices, you expect mistakes to be handled with a little more urgency and attention. I visited Perry's in Grapevine, TX and have been bragging about the pork chops to my wife since. I found out that Perry's would be opening up a location in the Phoenix area before the ground was even broken on the building. I told my wife, I would want nothing more than to have my birthday dinner there. It opened up a week before my birthday, just in time to enjoy the food I remembered and I loved in the past. We made reservations and drove an hour to get to Perry's arriving about 30 minutes early. Our table was not ready since we were so early, so we went to the bar, where we were greeted and had amazing beverages. After having a drink, my wife and I were able to be seated, The entire restaurant was modern and beautiful. Although it was busy, the staff seemed to make us feel like we were the only table they had. They were super attentive and made my birthday night feel super special. I got the amazing pork chop, while my wife got the ribeye. Both were amazing choices, but I do honestly think these are the best pork chops you will ever find. Even though they have complementary valet, amazing drinks, a beautiful restaurant, and attentive and friendly staff, the food and drinks are going to be the reason you will come back over and over and over again. read more

I had a REALLY rough week at work.as a NICU nurse. I decided to splurge on a nice meal. I spent $139 for what ended up mostly in the trash. I ordered the take out special: Chicken Oscar, lobster Bisque, whipped mashed potatoes and caesar salad. I added on a dessert trio and the Butternut squash puree. I didn't receive the lobster bisque, or the dessert trio. The chicken looked to be microwaved and under cooked with a few pieces of fishy smelling lump crab meat and a few limp microwaved asparagus spears. The mash was not seasoned at all, no salt, no butter....nothing. They also looked microwaved and were not fresh whipped potatoes. They looked like the ready made mash potatoes you buy at the grocery store. 98% of my meal in the garbage! I literallynwanted to cry!! I was so looking forward to this meal. I should have ordered from Cheesecake Factory. For an "upscale" steakhouse, Perry's is seriously lacking. I will never go in or order from them again. If you want a true upscale experience with delicious food, go to Bourbon and Bones instead. read more

Finally got to try Perry's and it did not disappoint! The vibe is pretty chill. Came here for my birthday & it was a great experience! Our waiter was Dominic he was great!! My husband and I both tried dry aged steak i ordered the filet & he ordered cowboy ribeye both so good. If you love espresso martinis they made a really good one. Go check them out!! read more

We ventured out as a family to try out this place. It was a bit of a drive from Scottsdale, but we used to live in QC, so eager to see the new places in East Valley. Decor: The place is massive and typical of modern steakhouses. Along with the modern layout, you also get tables that are within arms reach. So go ahead and grab a piece of bread from the adjacent table :) Food: There seems to be a lot of room for improvement. Three of us went with the pork chop. The table side carving was a nice touch, but the best part of the chop was the glaze. The pork chop itself was ok, but not the hype around it. Salads are a nice portion and Caesar comes with anchovies. That would have been nice for the server to mention, as NONE of us like them and had to scrape them of the salad. Wife had salmon and she said it was not good at all. It fell apart while trying to eat it, yet still remained a bit undercooked. Service: Bread seems to arrive at tables without actual attention of order. We were sat first, but two tables around us got bread, while we continued to wait. Server checked on us, once when the food just got there and second when we were done. Refills on iced tea and soft drinks were hard to come by. Overall: Place was busy, which I attribute to the "New Place" demand. While overall it was "ok", we are not planning to come back given the value proposition and the drive. Had a reservation and was seated relatively close to our time. Alejandra was our server and she was very sweet and kept our water full. A good variety of steaks, but if you want the smaller 6oz you need to order it ala carte, Which was fine for me. Steak focused menu but also some seafood, chicken lamb and pork chops. I ordered the 6oz filet along with the seasonal salad with beets, goat cheese and some asparagus tips. My husband ordered the filet/pasta duo with lobster. The salad was delicious my steak was perfectly medium rare with a great sear on the outside. My husband's steak was also perfectly cooked medium rare and the lobster sweet and tender. We decided to split a dessert, they were out of our first choice , the chocolate tower so we ordered the rocky road bread pudding. It was good but I thought the bread was slightly dry and I wasn't fond of the big marshmallow. I wouldn't order it again. It's a warm and inviting ambiance inside. I will juat say the service could have been ALOT better and the prices for what you got seemed overpriced. The place was packed but we got lucky and found a spot at the bar, which is usually the place to sit to get fabulous service but that was not the case. We were greeted immediately by Sean and he went over the menu and introduced the other 6 or so bartenders behind the bar and took our drink order. He made the martini and handed it to my hubby and then disappeared to the other end of the bar. We tried numerous times to get his attention and finally after 20 minutes, we asked for my wine "oh sorry I got a large drink order"....um ... but you had ours first?! Still took several minutes after that and by the time i finally got my wine, my hubby was ready for another martini and we decided to give him our dinner ordered before he disappeared again. The wedge salads came out almost immediately (super small, but off the happy hour menu) and my lobster bisque was to follow. About 45 minutes later, they bring our food. I asked about my soup and they said it wasnt ordered and asked if i still wanted it and I said yes. They brought out an espresso sized cup of soup. I knew my filet would be small but did not realize the lobster tail was literally cut in half and it did not come with butter to dip in (isnt that a must?). For the amount of money we spent that night, we expected much better service. No plans on going back anytime soon. Not the birthday celebration I hoped for. read more
