My 2d visit to a Fired Pie (first at this locale) and I remain a fan. I've only had the pizza and both times leave me wishing we had a franchise on the Central Coast. I like the fact the pizza is made to order before your eyes, and the topping offerings are plentiful and fresh. My wife is a fan of their salads, and as with the pizza, you design your salad composition to spec, then it is tossed before you and plated. Service was friendly and fast, and facility was clean. A great tasting pizza. Definitely on my top 10 pizzas to get in Arizona. I would recommend coming here instead of Pieology and mod pizza. The sauce is delicious and ofc the pizza as well. Unlimited topping on a personal pizza for only 11 bucks. I do wish they offered a thicker crust pizza. Other than that the place is usually clean some staff there are pretty good. Let begin by saying I've been to the pizza shop twice and at first I thought this behavior might be a one off....but no it was not. I give the pizza 5 stars!!!!! The owner and I use the term loosely is something to be desired, he reprimands his team in full view of customers and while I understand his team is mostly made up of teenagers. There is never a reason to treat people, workers, teens disrespectfully by talking down to them. Not only did I have a coupon for a free pie by getting a large drink but the three girls making the pizza asked whether I wanted spicy or regular. We've been to this Fired Pie many times with no issues, but this trip was really disappointing. 11am, one girl working the counter and an older gentleman who I assume was the manager. Three customers total in the restaurant. I ordered my usual Chicken Pesto and asked for extra pesto. The girl fumbled with an empty bottle of pesto for a good minute. Kept banging it on the counter and squeezing the bottle with nothing coming out, never thinking to maybe go grab a new, full bottle. I finally told her not to worry about it. We waited 30 minutes for our four pizzas. I have no idea why. My husband's pizza arrived burnt. But after waiting 30 minutes, he didn't want to wait while another one was made. I just had a very unpleasant experience at the Ocotillo Fired Pie. I placed an online order at 6:30 for a pizza and a salad. I was given a pickup time of 7:05. When I arrived and went to the counter, I gave them my name and order and was met with a blank stare. At this point, one employee told another employee (did not speak to me) "we didn't pull the order from the machine". At this point not one of the employees said anything to me, they just turned around to start on my order. No apologies, no "it will just be a minute, would you like a drink while you wait".....NOTHING! After about 10 minutes, one of the employees brought out my order and said, "here you go". Really like this Fired Pie location - I get the build your own vegetarian style and Dustin has never blinked when I ask for "more spinach, more jalapeños, etc." very pleasant young man. I have been to other competitors to build my own pizza and it seems like it bothers the employees to ask for more of anything. I only get vegetarian and skip the meat, so not sure why it bothers them? I think there pizza is good....today it was REALLY GOOD. an extra scoop of sauce with whatever toppings you want. This is absolutely my favorite build your own pizza place - I will repeat a previous review, Dustin represents this location well. Very customer service oriented. Lauren was also amazing, Very pleasant young lady....they make a great little team (see my photos for Dustin and Lauren) To management, you did a great job with your selection. Let me start by saying, I have eaten here several times and while it's not fine dining it has generally been good pizza and clean. My sister in law and I stopped yesterday (Sunday) about 4:00pm. Our food was ok, but the rótele knots or whatever they are called were awful. Small, tasteless and served with ice cold marina sauce. The restaurant was filthy. I think there were 4 people working, and we were the only customers at the time, (more did arrive.) yet there was not one single clean fork in the whole restaurant. The lunch rush would have been over and there should have been time to fill condiments, wash dishes and clean the patio. We sat outside and as you can see by the photos the patio was FILTHY. I get that you can't do a lot about leaves and bird droppings, but there was garbage strewn about. I know staffing is an issue right now, but there were 4 bodies there. Arrived around 7:00 pm and the place was deserted. Several employees standing around talking to each other while a few tables needed to be bussed. Garbage overflowing and kitchen sloppy with ingredients spilled over each other. Young lady handling our order tried charging us $18 for a glass of wine? Maybe she is new and unfamiliar with how to work the touch screen thing. Ordered a salad but no forks. Waited several minutes before another employee "handed" me a supposedly clean fork. I mean he actually was holding the eating part of the fork with his bare hands. Even before a pandemic this would be a heath code violation right? I understand it's tough for restaurants to find qualified people for these types of positions but there were at least four warm bodies hanging out around the kitchen area. On a positive note the food was good and a supervisor tried to resolve any problems after I asked for their manager's name. I certainly hope Fred Morgan and Doug Doyle rectify this problem before they lose another long term customer like me. read more

I found the customer service to be incredibly disappointing. I was there for lunch with a coworker who received her pizza and my pizza was nowhere to be found. After 15 minutes it was realized another patron accepted my pizza as theirs (they didn't even have the same toppings). The customer service seemed inconvenienced to have to make me another and no point was there any apology or accountability for their error. Not sure why this location does not write names on the paper like all the other stores do to avoid this. The manager (who was standing right there and heard the whole thing) should have apologized for the imposition while my co worker ate her lunch and then had to wait for me to eat mine. read more

I had Fired Pie for the first time today. The staff was friendly. My husband made his own "pie" and I had the margherita pizza. They were both good but nothing I would be really excited over. We also had the macadamia nut cookie which comes with ice cream. We thought it was pretty good. It's a pretty small size and worth the $3- $4. I like the location. So I came in the other day with a lunch with my good friend Lawrence. I was expecting an excellent bite from my regular pizzeria, but I was rudely mistaken. Following a tip from my therapist to start branching out and trying new things, I opted for the buffalo chicken salad. Good lord! I had taken a singular bite from the salad, and immediately felt ill. I discovered a small piece of cardboard midst the greens. My dear Lawrence bought the mac and cheese, which is his favorite birthday meal. However, the mac and cheese was brought to us with the (most likely fake) cheese dripping down the server's hands. I will say, Jackson provided excellent service and made the most out of this horrendous situation. I am outraged! The old guy with grey hair who was taking our order one had ear buds in and second was very rude and corrective. When I asked for ham and pineapple he had to correct me and made sure I knew it was Canadian bacon when it's the same thing, when we asked for marinara as our pizza sauce he insisted it was tomato sauce not Marinara, after cleaning the tables next to us I watched him pick something off my pizza with his unclean hands therefore I didn't eat my pizza. I ate there on 8/30/21 around noon and thought that guy, which has to be an owner, was having a bad day. He was first up on the line (dough). There was no one behind me. I must have annoyed him by ordering food at his restaurant, my apologies, I thought, he must be having a bad day. Been there. Now, when I asked him for the dairy free cheese and plant based chorizo and he became more annoyed, so just to be sure I had to ask one more time down the line and make sure that was the dairy free cheese. I have been to a few different Fired Pie locations including some of their competitors. This location however is new and extremely delicious. The people are very friendly and the atmosphere is really cool as it sits right up against a lake. I HIGHLY recommend getting the Hawaiian BBQ pizza but add some red onions for a nice crunch. First experience- last night. Came in about 8:00 PM had a large group. Line was average considering how many people we had and seemed to move fairly quickly. Set up is similar to a sandwich shop such as Subway. It starts with you getting your fresh dough. Then, they take it down an assembly line of sauces and topping to your liking. After being rung up, they take your name and deliver your pie when it's done. It cooked in a large very hot wood fire oven! Not a long wait for a bubbling, baked delicious pie! Crust is light, flaky and very tasty. A positive- good pizza, customer service was friendly and fast. Con's- Pricey: 2 11" pizzas (pies) 1 large Caesar Salad ( split) 1 soda ( other drink was tap water) Total $26.00. * When you pay near the end of your transaction it automatically suggests gratuity options* 15%, 20%, OR 30%. I went to Fired Pie two days ago for lunch and it was very good. The crust is thin and the size of the pizza is a excellent portion. When I was at Fired Pie it took a long time to order the pizza due to a lack of staff, and sometimes the bacon is too hard to chew. Additionally, waiting for the pizza to cook took about 20 minutes,and I understand that cooking takes a long time, but the time before it took about minutes.
