Recently I've started a gluten free diet and want to find a healthy restaurant. There wasnt many but I found this one only 10 mins from me. So excited to try this place out! Walking in they said hi and we were seating fast. Waitress was nice told us everything there is gluten free. We haven't had pizza or bread in a while so this was a real treat! I ordered for starters CYPRESE MODERNA SALAD. So good! My pal ordered a pizza and I ordered spicy pasta. Forgot the name but it was delicious! Honestly have to say this gluten free spicy pasta was by far the very best pasta hands down. More than north Italia we left so full & happy! And the best part was no tummy aches yayyyy! Being gluten-free can sometimes feel limiting--like you're missing out on the full experience. But not at Picazzo's! This is one of my favorite spots because I can order almost the entire menu with confidence--it's nearly all gluten-free, which is such a treat. We especially love coming for their "Healthy Hour" (their fun twist on Happy Hour) to enjoy a variety of appetizers and drinks. Last night, my husband and I snuck away for a little date night, and it was absolutely perfect. We kicked things off with the Spinach Artichoke Dip and GF focaccia--so creamy, rich, and completely satisfying! And yes... I got to enjoy a gluten-free IPA (!!), which always feels like such a win. Our server, August, was wonderful, and the outdoor ambiance was just right for soaking in that beautiful spring weather. For my entrée--ummm, not pictured because I literally couldn't stop eating it long enough to take a photo --I had the Meat-za Balls. They were incredible! So flavorful and filling, but still light thanks to the ground turkey. Truly a must-order , especially paired with their side Caesar salad! My husband loved the wings in BBQ chipotle and buffalo--both packed with flavor! And of course, we couldn't leave without the GF warm chocolate chip cookie à la mode. Based on the recommendation from my son, Picazzo's is my new go to for Vegan Pizza, and yes I had vegan turkey on my build your own pizza with veggies. I walked in the restaurant I noticed the ambiance and how neat and arranged the tables were. The staff was friendly and the pizza was amazing. I had heard about Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen for quite some time, but I'll be honest the idea of "healthy pizza" didn't sound all that appealing at first. Since I've been trying to cut back on gluten, I finally decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. First off, the server, I can't remember if her name was Lauren or Kristen, but she was amazing! She was super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and made the whole experience even better with her great customer service. I ordered a cauliflower crust pizza with half Spicy Calabrian and half Puttanesca, and both were absolutely incredible! Even the crust surprised me in the best way. I also got a side of pesto sauce, which was phenomenal. Honestly, all of their sauces are top-notch. The restaurant itself is clean and clearly focused on healthier options, which I really appreciate. I also love that they avoid seed oils in most of their food, something that's really hard to find anywhere these days. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality, and it's obvious that the owners and staff genuinely care about the food and the overall experience. You can even buy the pizza dough, both the gluten-free or the regular dough to take home and make your own pizza if that something you're into. Normally, this is a 5 star review for the location, drinks, service and food . Last weekend, though, service was lacking a bit at the bar. The bartender seemed more concerned with side duties and chatting with other employees than providing good service. Lovely, comfy atmosphere with nice lighting and a full bar and an outdoor patio. The menu is almost overwhelming with so many great choices. As a vegan, I was so happy there was so much for me! My husband and I each had a lunch combo. One with vegan chicken piccata and also kale white bean soup which were both very tasty. They both screamed for some Parmesan though, but unfortunately Picazzos doesn't carry non-dairy Parmesan. The other combo was a salad bowl with pizza slice. We had the Mother Earth bowl which was the absolute standout! So delicious with many hearty, healthy ingredients and a phenomenal dressing. The pizza slice was blah though. Honestly, I think Picazzos should make their own vegan cheese. The processed stuff just isn't very good. (Example: True Food's vegan ricotta is a delicious house made cheese). Also, apparently the only vegan crust is gluten free as well which was disappointing. I don't have any problems with gluten and would have liked a nice fluffy crust. So next time I will stay away from the vegan pizza and bring my own Parmesan. Otherwise, everything was great. read more

A friend and I went for lunch today and I was anxious to try it after looking at their menu online. First of all this place is so cute! Very mid century modern meets contemporary inside. Very comfortable seating options. There's an inside space which is quite large, an atrium type space with a garage door and options for a large group, and also a small patio on the side. I had the combo which was nicely priced and came with a beverage, small salad, and slice of pizza. The salad was very fresh and had nice bites of several vegetables. The balsamic dressing was thick and yummy! But the pizza- that was the star of the show! It was a generous slice with the most amazing crust! I chose my own toppings and the list is extensive! This was a lovely spot with large indoor and outdoor seating areas. I was really surprised and impressed by their large mocktail menu, as well as an ample drink menu for all things wine and cocktail. They had a decent kids menu as well. Service was great and The food seemed to very fresh and clean tasting while still flavorful. First time here. Cool ambiance, modern decor. It was early, probably about 5:00 p.m. and they were not busy, but it took forever for the server to come to the table to even greet us. Was super excited to see the variety of gluten free they offer. Ordered the half order of focaccia, but what was delivered to the table was more like half size pieces of plain white toast some pieces, were toasted way too much. Definitely nothing like focaccia bread. While I understand that gluten-free baked goods are not going to be like their original counterparts, this was literally like plain white bread toasted. Complete rip off. Did not complain to the server, as it's not her fault... I ordered the pasta Bianca which was supposed to be GF pasta with grilled chicken and spinach. I asked for extra spinach and asked them to add broccoli, they charged an extra $1.50 for each which I would have been okay with have they actually put extra in my food. The quantity of broccoli sprinkled on my pasta was barely microscopic, the spinach was in there but there was hardly any, and maybe five or six small slices of chicken. You go to a healthy kitchen place like this and you'd think they would serve a healthy red lentil pasta as their GF pasta, but what they serve must be the one that they make out of corn... So it looks like real pasta, but pretty much no nutritional value whatsoever. The Alfredo sauce on the pasta itself was good and flavorful. My companion had the lasagna, and they said it was ok. Again I realize that when you order GF it's not going to be as good as the original gluten versions. Very disappointed in the half slices of white bread they tried to pass off as focaccia and the microscopic "extra" spinach and broccoli that they were happy to charge me for. I don't mind paying for it at all, but there was hardly anything in there. Our server didn't offer dessert either. The bottom line is there was nothing wow about this place, overpriced, and mediocre service. This place is off the list. read more

I use to come to this restaurant all the time. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants that have vegan options. My son never been here so I wanted to bring him to try some good Italian food. I was so disappointed with this experience this evening. Food is way too expensive to be lacking in flavor so much. The portions are huge, but the flavor was ridiculously bland. The food use to be better seasoned. For these prices the food needs to be perfect!! The waitress seem preoccupied yet the restaurant only had with the exception of 3 parties eating outside. She wasn't busy. I didn't tip her well I must say. I had to ask for waters and for her to refill our waters. The cheesy vegan bread was undercooked and very soggy. That was pitiful. Had dinner with some friends here tonight and had a great experience! I liked how open and clean the restaurant is. Our server was very attentive and sweet and checked on us constantly throughout the 2.5 hours we were there. The menu is vast and they provide gluten free and vegan options as well so there is something for everyone here. One of my friends commented their pizzas are really good so I ordered their Italian sausage pizza. It was huge and delicious and I have 4 slices leftover for tomorrow:) I had a taste of the spinach artichoke dip and liked the mild creamy taste of it. Went here with my family for a double birthday event. I can understand a big party having its difficulties but we had quite a few. I'll start with the good: Service was great. The servers are top notch. Our server Maggie did a wonderful job. Very friendly people. Ambience was pretty. The food was a gamble, but what was cooked well was delicious. Great selection of ingredients. The bad: Our two orders of the Spicy Baked Rigatoni were undersauced, overcooked and kids meal sized (tiny) for 23$ a serving. Legitimately white noodles baked rock-hard into a pan the size of a cocktail napkin. The pizzas were lacking sauce. The kids alfredo was soggy. The worst part was that we were promised a refund for the poorly cooked rigatoni and that we could talk to the manager. After 20 minutes, we had seen him pass by 6 times and greet new customers. The server came back to let us know that we would only receive a 50% discount and that when we come back, they would "cook it right for us". Good joke. I have no plans on coming back here. The staff was warm and attentive. 10/10 A full separate vegan menu 7/10 Good food 10/10 A beautiful and open interior with decor (Especially to dine in this price range.) 15/10 Super clean and modern bathrooms! ;) I had the lunch special pasta combo $16.95. The sauce on my linguine could have been more flavorful and less runny. The meatballs were a bit bland too but the Caesar salad was fantastic! Seasoned just the way I like it and it even arrived on a chilled plate! A pleasant surprise a casual eatery, I say. :) I love the attention to detail! Speaking of details, the ladies room impressed me with its soft lighting, auto sensor faucets, the modern sink and tasteful decor. Such a wonderful experience! After finding out the other day that on top of not being able to consume gluten, dairy products were added in as well. They have a very large variety of gluten-free AND vegan options on many types of dishes. The cheesebread was just wonderful. This pizza is now my favorite, and the meetballs with flatbread- I am left without words with how wonderful this meal was. The food was SO filling. I only had one slice of pizza, 2 cheesebread slices, one meatball with 3 of 4 flatbread (I love flatbread), and ended up heading home with enough food for 2 for lunch tomorrow! The server was so kind and checked in on us multiple times to see if we were doing okay and even said if we felt too overheated, they would be more than happy to help us to move to the indoor area (as we chose to eat in the outside patio area). It was very peaceful and calm. I was able to have lovely conversations with my company and we were able to discuss how phenomenal the food was. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to not only gluten-free people, but those who need vegan as well. Picazzo's is an amazing, mindful, creative italian place with beautiful interiors and patios. They make killer pizza, with 72hr cold-fermented dough (original crust) and we love them for having lots of vegetarian options, including veggie sausage. Vegan and gluten-free options abound as well as true allergy-sensitivity that the wait staff enquire about and those notes follow the order through the kitchen and food delivery steps.
