I'm so disappointed and surprised with how our last move went with this company. The movers did not listen to their supervisor who showed up on scene as to how to wrap up our furniture so that it wouldn't get damaged. They also didn't listen to me when I asked them to please put moving blankets on the railing to protect it. There is damage to my walls and several of my items of furniture. Finally they took way too long for the actual move. One guy we watched for two hours straight walk back and forth without moving a single item. When I complained about this to the manager he told me to just put in a claim. When I inquired about the claim process I never got a response. read more

I had Firefighters finest pack and move my house. I give the packers a 1 star but the movers 3.5 stars. The packers took forever (and were paid by the hour). When I unpacked I learned why. They paper wrapped, bubble wrapped and taped items like plastic bowls, and plastic containers then added a coffee maker WITH WATER STILL IN IT to the same box. They also showed up with no sharpie to mark what was in each box. When I brought sharpies to them they still did not label some boxes at all and many just said misc. They didn't do bad moving except for some of the not-so-great kids furniture. I wish I had not wasted the money on their bad packing skills since it was expensive and it really made more work for me in unpacking. If you want to use them, I would just recommend packing up yourself. read more

This is a great moving company, reasonably priced, arrived on time and were quick! They wrapped and expertly moved cabinets for me and I would definitely use Firefighter's Finest again. Very simple move of ONE item. Had to pay for 3 hours of service to go 18 miles in Austin. My husband was home to accept the delivery and the guys met me out front to sign the paperwork. Mover stated "we didn't drop it or break anything". I get inside and here is what I found. Not nice to lie to your customers. I do not recommend them and would never use them again. Company FOUNDED by firefighters. The guys moving are not. They also charge 3% fee if you use a CC and you pay $58 surcharge for gas. Used these guys recently for a two-step move. Were very courteous and cautious throughout the whole move. The second part of our move was originally scheduled on a day that was not able to happen due to the recent winter storms. I needed movers at the absolute last minute, to move from my apartment in South Austin to a house in Manor. They told me about an hour, and showed up within an hour, rain and all. Very professional, they took better care of my furniture and boxes than I did, wrapping up with plastic and some heavy duty blankets. I was charged LESS than my quoted price as were done faster than expected. Many other movers aren't that honest. I will definitely use these guys again for my next move. read more

This company doesn't employ firefighters at all. They hire inexperienced young men that must be told what to do and when. Therefore they take an enormous amount of time to do the job and your estimate is so much lower than what the job will actually cost you. They ended up being the highest price of my three bids and I did not get my entire job finished. They also scratched my floors and furniture. The parts such as screws and things that hold pieces together that they took apart are all over the place and may never be found to put it back together. this was a horrible experience. This is the worst moving company any member of my family has ever used. I had a short period of time to move out of my house after it sold and had to move everything into storage for a month. As we moved a few pieces at a time out of storage we found so much damage. Improper wrapping of very expensive furniture, and total disregard for our possessions. Wow.. Just Wow.... Professional, Fast and Super Strong!! I had two move using Firefightings Finest this last year. With both moves they went with me through the house to determine what I needed moved and then they proceeded to RAPIDLY do what was needed. The first move was small and they had all everything moved to the storage unit in under two hours. The second move was much larger, at least 3/4 of the whole house and they handled this in a little over 4 hours. I was amazed at how easily they moved REALLY heavy items. Items that normally take 2 people carry, they could do it individually. This made both moves happen so much more quickly than I would have dreamed. They worked hard and fast, but were careful with my items and with their own safety. The next time I need items moved, they will be first on my list. read more

I was moving from a one bedroom- study to a 3 bedroom townhome. Really nice guys that came out. Moved my stuff in two days, which was nice and it took about 3 hours to pack and unloaded in about 2 hours. But, when I started unpacking boxes things were a MESS. And I mean it was bad! They wrapped plastic ziploc containers in packing paper and then put the valuable stuff in by itself. All of my toiletries were just thrown in boxes. The boxes were not marked. It said kitchen/miscellaneous, closet/miscellaneous, etc. It was not helpful at all. They have boxes that you can check off on the outside of the box to say what room it belongs in, but they don't use them! So they might as well save their money and not spend it on the writing on the boxes. I thought this would be so much better because my parents helped me move into my apartment, and we got it done, but it took awhile. It is so frustrating, though. Save yourself the trouble and do not use them. Unless you don't care if random things are boxed together and your coffee maker ends up in the bathroom. Nice guys, and good idea, but not a good setup. They do not have a system. I really hope this helps other people who are searching for movers. read more
