Im not usually one to write reviews unless its really great or really bad. I have to start this by saying, FireFin, the staff, and the Manager Jaime are absolutely incredible. I really cant say enough good things about Firefin. I had my rehersal dinner here and everything went so incredibly smooth. I couldn't have asked for anything more. This could be considered a near flawless night. Not only a near flawless night, but the planning was SO EASY. Jaime is laid back, friendly, professional, and a true master of entertainment. We went from restaurant to restaurant in west palm, palm beach gardens, Jupiter, and you literally cant even pay these restaurants to host a party for over a dozen people. We stumbled upon this gem by accident, and after pretty much all hope was lost. We sat at the bar, and told our story to Jaime who served us what we thought was a drink of defeat, but was actually a drink of success. serendipity is what it really was. A blessing that all the other places wouldn't host us, because FireFin knocked this out of the park! "You can have your party here!" And just like that a cascade of events that turned into one of the most amazing parties that ever happened. I was even delayed for 8 months due to covid and had to cancel and reschedule. No problem Jaime made it so easy. If you have ever had to plan a wedding, or big party, you know this is quite a process and can be super stressful. This was easily the least stressful party ive every planned. Easy peasy. We were almost a little skeptical since Jaime was so easy going and laid back, but he made it fun, and took all the stress out. HE TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING. The party was EXCELLENT. The food? EXCELLENT. The staff? WOW. The wait staff, reception, bartenders... ALL AMAZING. All of our guests had an awesome time. Everyone had drinks in their hands all night. I mean, the staff would come around and ask me for a drink, and it was my party, so i was wondering around, and they were chasing me down all night to make sure i had my drink right away. All my family said the same thing. Very professional staff, and very friendly. I don't know what kind of team huddle they have at this restaurant but this is a team of success. Its almost rare i have nothing to nit pick on, but the staff at firefin did a great job, 100% would do this again, and recommend you have your party here for any occasion. I was apprehensive about this place due to the recent negative reviews. And trust me. The reviews are correct, but my friend invited me here, and I didn't want to jump to conclusions. We came here on Motown night, so the music is very loud and the dance floor was popping. So, it was great in that aspect. We decided to go with the $40 3-course meal. My friend got a hibiscus margarita, which she said tasted like straight tequila with water. We both got the dynamite shrimp ($20 on regular menu), and it only came with 4 shrimp. $5 per shrimp for it just to be okay seems pretty steep. You could get better at Bonefish or Cheesecake Factory. Additionally my friend makes lifestyle content, so she was recording. A guy (looked like a cook possibly or another waiter) stopped by our table and said "I hope you're not giving us bad press." Which I would've taken as a joke, but immediately afterwards he went to our waiter whispered something, who then looked at our table. Then the waiter immediately whispered to, presumably the manager, who then looked at our table, which kind of made us feel weird about the interaction. Next was the main course, my salmon tasted so fishy and not fresh. Even if it was good, the sliver of salmon given was not worth its price point on the menu ($32). The Brussel sprouts tasted like the bottom of a burnt pain. It was not edible, and I nearly spit out my food. The waiter did not come to check on us or ask us how the food was. Just to put into perspective how bad the food is, this is first time I've ever sent food back. When we finally got another waiter to track down ours, my waiter just said "okay" and walked away when I told him about the food. He was walking around for about for about 5 minutes before coming back and asking if I wanted something else. I went with a Caesar salad, which is priced about $18 compared to the $32 salmon. I got no discount on my meal despite downgrading the entree and not having the best service. Our waiter talked to the manager, but the manager never came to our table. The last course was cheesecake, which was just alright. I ate half of it and left hungry. I made a stop by Wendy's on my way home. I have never had food this bad, and the fact that no one was apologetic about the experience was just the cherry on top. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money here. read more

This is an unusual review for me to write and certainly a first. The ambiance is perfect for a date night all the way up to a place to host a wedding. The service that we received was top notch all the way from the hostess, to the server, to the chef and to the owners. How many times have you had the chef and owner check on you to make sure you are happy? I went out of my Old Fashioned and Lychee Martini comfort zone to get the Pear Elderflower Cosmo. This was an outstanding cocktail. I would have gotten another, but my friend and her mom got a Key Lime Pie Martini so I gulped the last bit of pear sweetness and ordered one for myself. It was good, but I highly recommend the Pear Cosmo if you like sweet. As usual, Max stuck to his beer. Here is where things get a little unusual. The Crab Rangoon is full of crab. I thought it was going to taste similar to the Chinese restaurant style. It was in a league of its own. The Lobster Bisque wasn't like your usual tasting fare that you get at a seafood restaurant. Pair a Tomato Bisque with it and that is how I would describe theirs. The salads were good and my only wish is that I should have gotten a signature dish to discover the true essence of how well the chef could cook. I asked if the Red Velvet cake was homemade and learned that they were out of it. Our waitress tried hard to sell us on the owner's wife homemade dessert, but I wasn't biting. She made up for this loss by bringing us some samples of the sweets. If anything, make sure you ask for the homemade bread for the table. Something so small was my main event. read more

This is my second time here. My son is a regular. We took my husband for Father's Day. Our server was as great. He took very good care of us. The appetizers were great. One thing that I loved your oysters had absolutely no grit. Buffalo chicken dip was delicious and so was my entree and my drink. The bartender graciously sent me a key lime shot (delicious )and the server brought over a slice of your key lime pie (yummy) My only issue was my husband's fish. It was filleted but he kept finding bones in it & a couple of scales. This is the only reason I could not give a perfect score. He use to work for a seafood restaurant and so he has an expectation for fish prep. Other than that I still recommend this restaurant. We will be back for sushi. read more

We had an excellent dinner here. We met some friends who live in Palm Beach Gardens. This is one of their favorite places. They chose the location to meet -- our first time seeing each other in over a year. Although we are all vaccinated, they still prefer to dine outside. They like the marina and view of the boats here. The restaurant doesn't take reservations, so we met them early enough to get a table outside plus take advantage of their drinks happy hour. There's also extensive seating inside -- and a special happy hour food menu if you sit at the bar. If it's a nice night -- as it was when we were there -- it really is delightful sitting outside. Between the light breeze and all the docked boats, it was comfortable and picturesque. Following their recommendations for what we should order here, they suggested sushi or any of the seafood dishes. Each couple ordered a lion fish roll. Market priced, it's not inexpensive, but it is huge! And easily shareable. It was beautifully presented and delicious -- creamy avocado and fish eggs on top, with asparagus and fish (cooked) inside. They also have lion fish fingers, ceviche, and sushi. I'm a big fan of eating this non-native invasive species and was thrilled to see it on their menu. I'd started with a small salad which was crisp iceberg and the usual ginger dressing. After that I had their spider roll with soft shell crab which I liked a lot. My husband also had some individual sushi including saba, hamachi, and smoked salmon. Our friends also had a spicy tuna roll and a veggie roll. They like extra ginger and the waiter was very accommodating. Everyone was quite happy with their choices, but the star of the evening (besides the view and the company) was that lion fish specialty roll. Service was excellent. The restaurant manager even stopped by a couple times to make sure all was okay. We were too full for dessert -- although our friends did take a slice of key lime pie home for later. I'm very glad we came here. I'm already thinking of introducing this restaurant to other friends who would love dining here, too. PS Eat more lion fish! read more

If you ever think about going to this place please save yourself a trip and don't. Me and my girlfriend went here for Valentine's Day only to be welcomed by an older gentleman who instead of being polite, only could mouth out the words "you're late" in a very rude way due to us being 10 mins late to our reservation because of traffic with a half empty restaurant. Food time wise took a little longer than normal which wasn't a big deal but the food itself was absolutely horrible and tasted gross. read more

Came for happy hour. Great that they have happy hour on Saturday since not that many places offered. 50% off drinks, a few bucks off selected food. Interestingly, one item on the menu, the garlic edamame is $10 and it is $9.99 on the regular menu. We had red wine, selection was good. They didn't have the draft beer option, so they offered domestic beer for 50%. After we made the selection, the bartender didn't tell us that was not part of the HH. And we got charged full price. Not cool. The flat bread was nicely done. Spicy salmon was not what we expected. It was not the Japanese style spicy Mayonnaise. But I guess everyone has their own style. Waited another 10min to be greeted and take our order. 10 min later, the server comes back to tell us that they're going to take another 45min or longer for our food. That's 1.5hrs from our original reservation. I will update depending on the outcome from the management staff. Update-- they brought the food and everything is terrible. People won't leave if you tell them to control their kids.....but the rest of us won't recommend the place or come back..... Pathetic experience. I had been to this restaurant in the past and wanted to return. I was on a business trip and I came in at 805pm. I placed a simple order and waited....and waited.....and waited..... and nothing. Over 1 hour and 30 mins before my food came and the excuse was that there was a big party in front of me. So you held one salmon plate order for one person for a while giant table and made me wait all this time. When I finished my food and was ready for desert I was told that the kitchen was now closed. It's 940pm and they closed up. The restaurant shows open until 10pm. I was ordering DESSERT Not an entree. Worst experience I've had in a very very verrrrry long time. Gravely disappointed in food, ambiance and service. We made a reservation for my son's birthday and I am sorry and embarrassed to say that we stayed. There were definitely signs upon walking in the door that gave us an uneasy feeling. First, the seafood display had little to view, the sushi bar was completely empty and there were less than 4 total dining parties between the indoor and outdoor spaces at close to 6pm. We were seated in the outdoor patio and I noticed my chair had duct wrapped around the entire arm of the chair. The menus appeared very dirty with spilled drinks and food and several items were crossed out with a pen without removing them from the kitchen. Flies were swarming around which doesn't happen while dining at Carmine's next door. We were disappointed in the various dishes we ordered. I will definitely not be going back. read more

Right next to Carmine's, valet available since parking is not easy to find. Place is interesting, it's dark and contains a mixture of high top bench tables, lower tables, booth. Doesn't look like they should mix. Waitress is super friendly, I got the pear cosmo, delicious. I started with the seaweed salad and had the lion fish roll. It was delicious, sushi rice cooked perfectly. Enjoyed my meal. We went with some friends, and one for the fried fish, said it was over fried, and one got coconut shrimp also said over fried. Lionfish is hard to find on any menus in our areas, which is odd being that Lionfish are so abundant in SoFlo. We couldn't wait to try out this restaurant to see how they prepare Lionfish. We waited in a line to be seated and the hostess wiped off a table for us. Phil was our waiter. He seemed to know the menu pretty well. Unfortunately, one of the dishes we came for was unavailable; Lionfish and shrimp ceviche. That was disappointing. How do you not have one of your signature dishes? Anyhow, food rundown: Apps: Lionfish fingers with delicious tartar sauce AND cajun chicken egg rolls. They were both good. My friends and I are always looking for a good place for happy hour and FireFin Grill has recently been our go-to place. Their happy hour bar bites menu is extensive with both sushi rolls and regular apps. We like the Wasabi Salmon Roll, the Mushroom Flatbread and the Meatballs and Ricotta best. They have outdoor seating that overlooks the marina and you can't beat the view on a sunny day. And Michelle the bartender is a hoot! We also ate here for dinner after the Boat Parade and were equally happy with everything we ordered. This location has had several occupants over the years, so I hope that FireFin is here to stay. read more

Grey outdoor dining with fresh, delicious seafood options. We started with happy hour cocktails that were half off and very satisfying. For apps, we got the Fire Calamari and three sushi rolls. The calamari was tender inside and crunchy outside with an amazing, buttery sauce and crisp peppers. The J.B. Roll was loaded with amazing salmon and creamy cream cheese and avocado to round it out. The spicy salmon was amazing too. The Crunchy Tuna Roll was huge and full of flavor. All the rolls had a small amount of rice which made the fish and other ingredients really shine through. We were all equally pleased with our entrees. Two of us were in heaven with the Lobster Risotto. It was creamy and full of complex flavor and had huge pieces of lobster which they did not skimp on. It was so filling and satisfying we could each only finish half! The Crunchy Island Grouper and Crunchy Grouper Tacos were also dynamite. The breading was thin and crispy and the fish was moist and tender. The pineapple salsa and other accompaniments were perfectly tailored to a savory, delectable dish. Highly recommend! read more

We came for the sushi and lionfish. They didn't even use the correct type of rice. One of the rolls, they triple rolled the sheets of seaweed so you couldn't chew it. Really, I've had more authentic sushi from the gas station. I feel like the sushi chef could have watched a youtube video and learned how to make better sushi. Describing it as "Really bad" barely scratches the surface. I'm only in town a couple days, but I pray that all sushi in Palm Beach doesn't suck this bad. read more

After having had a bad experience with the service a month ago we decided to give FireFin another chance- because the food (when we finally got it) was still very good. It was a mistake. They do have (relatively) new owners and they are awful now. Food is still good- when you finally get it- but the incredibly slow service and new policies (like charging an extra $3.99 for olives with my wife's martini) are just awful. Not only slow service but we got the wrong drinks (they were for another table). At their social media team's suggestion, I emailed my complaint to the owner. No reply. I sent it again and still received nothing back. They obviously don't care so we are finished with them. And I thought all of you should know this is how they are treating their customers now- badly. There were other little things, too, but- when you add them all up- there are so many restaurants in this area that have good food AND good service, it just isn't worth putting up with this at Firefin anymore. read more

Our first time here and certainly Not out last. Location and ambiance is perfect. We were waited on by Marlene (apologize if spelling was wrong) and she was perfect. Recommended a few items and her drinks were fantastic, made the experience even better. Started with the lion fish sushi and the grilled pork shank, absolutely delicious. Next we had the Brie oysters and wasabi salmon roll and loved them both. The flavors the Brie/Oyster pared with my wife's pinot noir were perfect. Having the owners on premises and willing to work and be attentive to their customers was a very nice surprise. After along day at the beach family was craving seafood. Went on Yelp and found this place so decided to check it out and let me tell you it did not disappoint at all. We were a party of 7 sat outside with a beautiful view. We ordered several appetizers them being: Tuna nachos: they were good just kinda looks like a tuna tar tar. Dozen Raw Oysters: fresh Jumbo shrimp cocktail: we'll name says it all. Shrimps were jumbo and fresh. Champagne Brie oysters: OMG delicious!!!! Must get! For entrees I had the seared tuna with jasmine rice and veggies. Big entree. Not skimpy. A lot of tuna. Fresh as well. Husband got the crab cakes. Crab cakes were pretty big and meaty. For dessert we got the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Super moist and rich. Our server Blake. He was amazing. Very knowledgeable on the menu. Recommended all the great entrees. Kid friendly.
