From the moment you walk in, to the moment you sit down, the attention to service and details is amazing. First off, our waiter Alan immediately came to the table to introduce himself, drop off bread, and tell us about the specials of the evening. We started off with a Caesar salad which was amazing. Lightly dressed and very flavorful. We also brought our own bottle of wine ($35 corkage fee) and given the age of the bottle, he opened that wine like a true pro with an Ah-So. For entree, we decided to split a filet mignon and the lobster special for the evening. The filet was cooked to perfection! It had a beautiful crust on the outside and was cooked perfectly to temp. It was butter just cutting into the filet. Now the lobster was just divine. Served with butter and a grilled lemon, the meat of the lobster was so delicious. The combo of the steak and lobster was just classic. We also got a side of the au gratin potatoes that are cheesy and rich. The sides are huge and definitely more than enough for 2 people to share. For dessert we went with the flourless espresso cake which is a chocolate explosion! So indulgent. A great place for a romantic date night or a celebration! read more

Stopped in during Happy Hour for their Sliced Dry Aged NY Strip w/Kona Crust that's on the HH menu, along with a side of Sams Mashed... love the combo. My last version of this here was slighly better, but still great. I noticed a number of others at the bar also ordered this steak... it is very popular and definitely the HH food item I'd suggest. It's on the small side, but perfect if you don't want one of their regular menu steaks, which is too much for me these days. A Classic Margarita and a glass of Acquisition Cabernet Sauvignon rounded out a great visit to one of my favorite Capital Grille locations. Kenny and Fernie manned the bar, real pros! If you like attention to detail, you came to the right place. This place never disappoints from the service of the waiter to the food. We immediately gave them our bottle of wine so they can in cork it and got our bread. Everything is so elegant and relaxed. We were crazy a steak so we ordered steak with a salad and added the lobster tail. Why not. From the salad to the chocolate cake in the end, everything was beautiful. We have had many meals at The Capital Grille in both Broward and Palm Beach. Last year we enjoyed such a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner at The Capital, we decided to make this place a tradition to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. Service is top notch and attentive. All of the staff members are positive and have a "Can Do!" attitude! Our meals were perfectly prepared with generous slices of tender moist turkey breast. The mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing and of course, the cranberry chutney, rounded out the dinner plate with all the right flavors! We added some Creamed Spinach and a sweet potato casserole, putting our meal over the top. When dessert time arrived, we were stuffed but wound up sharing two of them between the four of us. Normally, I wouldn't consider going to the Capital Grille because I generally shy away from frequenting chain restaurants. But our friend wanted us to join her and her boyfriend for the Generous Pour that they offer at the Palm Beach Gardens location, so I agreed to come along. While I didn't engage in the Generous Pour special, I did enjoy my meal and cocktails at our table across from the bar counter. I've always liked the interior and décor of Capital Grille, having visited it a couple of times over the last 15 years or so. I suggest frequenting more after this experience. Cocktail-wise, I enjoyed the Dirty Goose (vodka, olive brine, hand-stuffed bleu cheese olives) and Kona Espresso Martini (vodka, Caffè Borghetti Espresso Liqueur, fresh espresso, Kona dust). They were all made well, although I should have asked for extra dirty for the Dirty Goose since I tend to like the amping on the olive brine. Food-wise, we opted for the Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad with Crushed Pistachios and Citrus Vinaigrette for a starter, with the Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Miso Butter and the Porcini-Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye with 15-Year Aged Balsamic for our entrees. I have been on a kick with beet and goat cheese salads lately, and the Capital Grille does them very well. It was a good starter without filling us up too quickly. And who doesn't like whipped goat cheese? For entrees, the sea bass was fantastic and buttery, which I enjoyed with the asparagus. The miso butter complemented the sea bass well, but I made sure not to include that in the portion I gave to my wife, as the miso butter is not gluten-free. But the sea bass on its own was. Fortunately, the sea bass was served separately from the miso butter. The bone-in ribeye was sensational, especially with the aged balsamic and porcini rub. That had a lot of flavor and character. It was also very filling that we brought the leftovers back home with us. Dessert-wise, we opted for the Classic Crème Brûlée, which was not only delicious and satisfying with seasonal berries but also didn't leave us feeling like a food coma had hit us. While the food wasn't the most expensive I have encountered, it was pricey. However, if you order sea bass and bone-in ribeye, it will be at most restaurants' expense. Those two entrees combined run at least $120, so if that is out of your price range, then look for other options on the menu. Even though I didn't partake in the Generous Pour, having read the wine options, I was impressed with the selections, so I may do so next time we go. I discovered that their menu is very good, so I will return to check out more items. read more

First time here was Saturday night. We made a reservation for a late dinner: 9:15pm, and they have a semi formal dress code. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted immediately by the hosts. We did not have to wait long before being led to our table. Our server, Yadira, was exceptional! I think she could tell it was our first time dining here and she took her time to explain things to us and made us feel welcomed and cared for. We ordered the lamb chops and special of the night - Tomahawk. Everything was delicious and so filling. We ended up taking most of the food back home for leftovers. While we thoroughly enjoyed our evening, this is definitely a place that is for special occasions or celebrations, as things can add up quickly and the prices are not cheap. read more

I come here often but forget to write reviews. I was in the area and stopped by for a quick lunch. Service was fast and friendly. It wasn't so crowded on a Friday lunch at 1pm. There were plenty of tables open. inside was very clean and well decorated with a relaxing setting. The food was fantastic as always. I love that the truffle fries are not too overpowering like some other places. The sirloin lunch tips were well cooked and seasoned along with the seared salmon. Can't go wrong with anything on their menu as the food is delicious. My favorite appetizer is the Tuna Tartare. A great place for date night and dinner parties. read more

Visited for the new Capital Hours that started earlier this month. Previously there was no happy hour and now you can enjoy signature cocktails, wine and apps from 3-6p, Monday to Friday. It was packed when we got there a little after 5p, the bartender acknowledged us and was able to get us a seat for 2 as a couple was leaving. We nibbled on some bread while sipping on cocktails that were delicious. Bartenders were very attentive considering it was a full house. We ordered oysters, garlic shrimp and truffle fries. The garlic shrimp were large and very tasty served in cast iron. Perfection, loved the chunks of garlic in a savory sauce. Great experience as always we'll definitely be back!! read more

Our ladies group was excited to enjoy our happy hour gathering at the Capital Grille. When we arrived there was some miscommunication as to the reservation time and table location. As our group arrived everything was figured out and we were seated outside. This ended up being perfect. They were very accommodating . The happy hour menu has a nice selection of food and drink items available . I ordered the filet mignon sliders . It came with 2 and smothered with yummy sauce and onions. The other options including the sirloin looked great. Several of the ladies were celebrating birthdays and they brought out complimentary desserts! The service was fantastic ! If I could rate 3.5 starts I would. Came here to celebrate my husbands birthday and the service was amazing! Staff was very friendly and attentive! I did get the Generous Pour which is a special they had at the time and allows you to try various different wines for a charge of $45- great value! If I had to recommend one dish it would hands down be the lobster mac-n-cheese, I don't know if its the type of pasta, the cheese, or what but they nailed this side dish! I also got the Sliced Filet Mignon ordered Medium and unfortunately the dish came Medium well; which probably is why I didn't enjoy the dish as much as it could of been. For being a steakhouse I would expect the temperature of the meat would be to perfection! I recently hosted my mom's 100th birthday at The Capital Grille. I can't thank them enough for making it such a special day. The service was outstanding, the food delicious, and the perfect ambiance in the private wine room. All the guests were quite impressed. The head chef and the management team even came at the end to wish my mom a happy birthday, which made her feel quite special. If she makes it to 101, we'll be back next year. We decided to try the Wagyu & Wine event in the lounge. This special features a gourmet burger paired with a Dave Phinney red wine for $35. We were impressed with the relaxed elegant atmosphere in the lounge and both the service and food exceeded our expectations. Our server Caitlin was very friendly and gave us some great advice. We've enjoyed meals at other Capital Grille restaurants in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale, so when our cousins invited us to join them in dining out here for Thanksgiving dinner, we were happy to do so. Holidays are notoriously challenging for restaurants and in years past while traveling during Thanksgiving, we've had our share of more disappointing meals than good ones. Yesterday's experience here was just wonderful. We had excellent service from Daniel. Our reservations were honored right on time. We had a nice table in the main dining room. No blaring music or obnoxious patrons nearby made for easy conversation. In additional to the traditional Turkey meal, you had the option to order off their regular menu also. While we were waiting for our entrees, the kitchen was still baking a new batch of pumpernickel raisin bread and onion rolls. So, they brought us butter and a basket of warm poppy and caraway seed rolls along with some lahvash crackers to "tide us over". We all decided to choose the turkey meal, and we were all happy with our choices. Each plate was overflowing with thick slices of hand carved moist white meat turkey along with gravy, stuffing, a cranberry sauce relish, and green beans. Mashed potatoes were served separately family style. We added on their sweet potato casserole with pecans and marshmallows. Every part of the meal was exceptionally good. We all had a lot of leftovers to bring home. We ended the meal with coffees and a dessert "tasting" of their fudgy chocolate cake and creme brûlée cheesecake. We were full but managed to enjoy most of the dessert. Pounds heavier, but very happy -- we are already planning a return for next year... The capital Grille was not really up to par. I had dinner there recently. The waiter Robert is someone you wanna avoid? He does not ask you for what kind of food you want does not tell you the specials and he tries to rush you. I think he's a bit racist so be careful of him. I was very disappointed however I did have the snake River steak. It was very, very good. I had lunch here for the first time today. The food was phenomenal. They were very accommodating to my Celiac Disease and answered all my questions about their menu. I love capital grille for their salmon. Let's just start there. lol I don't know what that says about me and my expectations at a well known steak house-ish restaurant, but I have to let you know where I'm coming from. People love the food so they keep coming back. **Last time I was there (Friday after Valentines Day 2024) we had a jovial, almost comically jovial server who said "Cheers my friends" after every interaction, and he asked if we wanted some "cracked pepp" (yes, he abbreviated the world pepper as pepp lol) with so much enthusiasm it was impactful and quite unforgettable so I now use that term in my daily lexicon. Food: As I said, I LOVE their salmon b/c they book it perfectly every time. I mean absolutely perfectly cooked salmon. Last time I was there, I ordered the 45-day dry aged 18 oz ribeye and shared it with my beau. :) It was amazing; almost the best steak I've ever had at a restaurant (A steakhouse in Aspen, Colorado wins that award!) We also got three crab stuffed jumbo shrimp with that steak in a bernaise-like sauce. Meal was so darn good! Not gonna mention the price but they don't tell you the price when they rattle off the specials so just go in there assuming the worst lol Well, maybe not the worst. Just know that your food will most likely taste as good as the price! Lobster mac and cheese - Yes every time! Sauteed spinach - simply perfect, and Yes! Bread - Oh man, they have this onion bread and this dark rye bread with white raisins in their basket which are the favs for sure! We always ask for more bread! Dessert - Do not get the coconut cream pie (specially if you've had it from Spotos) you'll be highly disappointed. Not a winner. (This was the newest dessert on their menu so we tried it.) This restaurant is always reliable for a classic steakhouse meal, very celebratory experience and exceptional service.
