Amazing bbq! Our family got pulled pork and brisket and all 4 sides. Our family has raved and raved about how it was some of the best we've had! I'm really picky on Cole slaw, but it was perfect. The brisket was the perfect mix of tenderness with that lovely seasoned edge. The corn was so good too! Def will tell everyone I know to visit here when headed to Yellowstone. Firehole has the BEST BBQ in town.. It's not very flashy and is very hometown feely but my oh my the flavor is all there and they pack a BIG punch. Everything on the menu is served with a heavy hand and Id come back here at any given chance. The price point is very affordable and the ambiance is very charming. We went in the evening and the only meats were sausage, pulled pork, or turkey. I didn't order any of these since I don't really consider this BBQ. Instead, I got sides of a plain baked potato (they wanted to charge another $7 for like a spoonful of meat) and corn salad. The potato was drenched in butter unfortunately. The staff is really welcoming and care a lot about the experience and quality. I ordered the brisket sandwich, 6oz cole slaw, 6oz macaroni and cheese, and a bottle of water for $20 plus tip. Not bad pricing, the sides were delicious. The sandwich was okay, it left more to be desired since it was just meat on bun. I think it was supposed to come with a pickle and onions which I didn't get. Other than that it was a good stop, convenient and in town. Plenty of parking out back. read more

We spent two nights in West Yellowstone and ended up at this little hole in the wall both nights. You know when the sign says open til sold out that it must be delicious. Both nights line out the door but it goes quick. They put together your order as you go through the line so you sit down with food in hand. The smoked turkey is epic. The beef brisket is so tasty and the Mac and cheese is so creamy. I had the loaded baked potato with pulled pork, so good! Must try if you find yourself in West Yellowstone! read more

So at first I was really annoyed they didn't have online ordering. I mean come on even the mediocre pizza place had that. So I drove my lazy butt the few blocks to the place and realized why. There was a fairly long line, but they have a system. One person takes your order then two others set up the plate while the first person prepares your meat and then another person finishes your plate and ANOTHER checks you out. The whole thing took maybe 7 minutes. The brisket was gone so we didn't get that but we had the pork and turkey sandwiches and a half rack of ribs which were all very good. Their sauces are a little mild for my taste, but good nonetheless. The coleslaw expert tells me she loved the coleslaw. Definitely worth getting dinner here. Side note - I was so impressed I told them they were awesome and they really seemed to appreciate it. When people do a good job we should take a moment to acknowledge that. My family and I came here after a day at Yellowstone, and we don't regret it! They close once everything is sold out, so try not to get here too late. After reading reviews and getting a recommendation from a local, we stopped by and realized that this spot was also on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. Located in West Yellowstone off of Firehole Ave, next to a gas station, you'll find a spot with delicious BBQ. We walked in and stood in line to order. We ordered Brisket sandwiches, which come on a hamburger bun with pickles and onions on the side. The friendly staff asked if we wanted juicy or lean. We ordered one of each. We also added a side of coleslaw, mac and cheese, and corn salad. The brisket was delicious! Not liking fatty meat, I chose the lean, and it was still tender. The meat had a smokey flavor that was seasoned well. Add the BBQ and hot sauce on the table for even more flavor. I wasn't a huge fan of the hamburger bun. The sides were interestingly good. The corn salad mixed with mayo and onion and topped with corn chips was fun and tasty to eat. My husband liked the mac and cheese that had a gravy like consistency. The coleslaw was good. They hand cut and weigh each order, the smoke and seasoning is perfection, the mac and cheese is a delightful 'death by dairy', cheesy goodness with a touch of spice rub in it! I had the sandwich which came with onion and pickle, then I also used the 'hotter' sauce option that was offered on the table. This truly was the best brisket bbq I have ever had. Oh my! This was definitely the highlight of my Yellowstone trip! I saw that it was on the Yelp top 100 BBQ places, and I was going to be in the area so it became my mission to stop here. This places deserves that status in the article because it has a line out the door non stop. When we went there was a line and every time we drove by there was a line. The line does move pretty quickly and by the time you make your way to sit down there are tables available. We got the ribs and brisket and they were both tender, juicy, and delicious!! My favorite was the ribs because they were fall off the bone and you could still taste the dry rub under all the juices. I got the brisket on my baked potato and drenched that in their hot bbq sauce. Writing this review is making my mouth water so if you are in the area this place is a MUST! read more

I'm so glad that we had a chance to try this place during our Yellowstone NP trip. Get there early because they tend to sell out FAST. We got there a little bit before they opened and already had some people waiting outside. They have your typical meats that can be ordered by the lb or 1/2 lb: brisket, pork + ribs, and sausage link. They also have a few sides to pick up. We ended up ordering brisket and ribs with cornsalad and coleslaw. The brisket was so TENDER and juicy, hands down one of the best briskets I've ever had. The pork ribs were so tender too, the meat just ribbed right off the bone. Their in house spicy bbq sauce made it mouth watering.. Wish I had ordered more brisket to bring back to LA. Their cornsalad was a good side with some added crunch from the chips they added in. Overall I would definitely want to come back if I'm ever back in the area. read more

Twice in a week! my asian parents are SUPER picky when it comes to non-asian food (IYKYK) and even they rave about this place. ordered: brisket, loaded potato, rack of ribs. all of the meat is extremely tender. tip: ask for "most moist" when you order the brisket. it is absolutely heaven when you bite into it. the staff is so friendly and come check on us. please call ahead to see if they are open/close for the winter season. they are open at 4pm BUT they will close once they're sold out. read more

The brisket was amazing. Super flavorful and perfectly tender. I got the "moist" which is of course a little more fatty by design. Also amazing was a gentleman who checked in on guests as they were entering and helped clear tables as we were finished. Such great service.
