I want to wholeheartedly update my experience at Firehouse Cafe. This is one of my parents favorites and I've accompanied them the last three weeks (once a week). Without exception, the food has been made exactly as ordered (extra crispy hash browns rank big in my world). The waffles are amazing and the sourdough toast is thick and tasty as well. They've also presented a clean place to eat. Every waitress has been lovely and when you hear the ladies laughing with their restaurant teammates, you know it's a happy pleasant place to be. Thank you Firehouse!

Very good breakfast but very surprised that they don't offer veteran or law enforcement discounts. Nonetheless I will eat here again.

Interior is cool. Servers very attentive! Food was good, came out really fast. Pancakes are for sure a 10/10! Monte Cristo was super cheesy.

Cozy little cafe attracting all the locals! Came by Firehouse Cafe on yelp and was pleasantly surprised. Tons of menu options and great service. Seemed like everyone there were regulars. The food was yummy and felt homemade. Not many places have the Monte Cristo sandwich on the menu, so of course I had to try it. Delicious!

Great place for breakfast, unique decor and always busy. Food and service are both very good. My husband and I have been there a couple times for breakfast, and both times, we've had a great experience. They always greet us and tell us to have a seat anywhere. On this recent visit our server Amanda was great!! She was busy but always managed to check on us. She noticed my husband and I were trying to take a selfie and she offered to take the picture. She was very attentive and did a great job at getting our order correct and served in a friendly and prompt manner.

Monte Cristo with fries that were also good. We'd order it again.

Average food. The burger that I ordered tasted like something that I could get at any fast-food joint. It had a frozen square patty.

The best breakfast in town. A real cafe with real food. A place that gives you a drink that isn't empty after only three swallows.

Makenna Coffee is seriously such a hidden gem!…read more I first discovered this place completely by accident a while back when one of my girlfriends and I were on our way to go camping. We were craving coffee, searched for the closest coffee shop, and happened to stumble across Makenna Coffee. I remember absolutely falling in love with their coffee and thinking, "I cannot wait until we come back this way so I can get this again!" Unfortunately, I never ended up making it back... until today! We happened to be in the area for an appointment at the Jeep dealership, and when I realized Makenna Coffee was nearby, there was NO WAY I was leaving without stopping. This was only my second time here, and somehow it was just as good as I remembered. Taylor helped me and she was such a sweetheart! I couldn't remember what I had ordered the first time, so she helped me pick out two different drinks to try -- the Sandy Blonde and the Maui Latte. I ordered them half sweet, and they were still a little sweeter than I normally prefer, but honestly, they were amazing nonetheless. I'm usually a black coffee/Americano kind of girl, but every once in a while I get a serious sweet tooth and want something fun and indulgent -- and Makenna Coffee is PERFECT for that. Their coffee is so good, and there's just something about this little spot that I've loved ever since I accidentally discovered it. I only wish I lived closer because I would definitely be here way more often. If you're ever in this area, do yourself a favor and stop at Makenna Coffee. It's one of those little gems you're so happy you found.

I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese, which they offered to toast for me. The food came out pretty quickly and the person taking my order was pretty patient with me taking my time to look at their menu. The ambiance was nice too - it seems like a cozy enough place for people to hang out and I even saw someone working on their laptop for awhile. I will say the foods looked good but seemed a little pricey for the service size, so I avoided ordering anything else this time. Might check them out in the future.

Pretty much every time which is what pushed me to actually write a review. The food/coffee is way overpriced for what you get as well. When I went recently, they added the up charge to add cold foam and didn't even ask if I wanted it when I went in person. BUT, upon checking the online ordering on their website, it is so much more clear that that was an optional add-on. Kind of felt like they were just upcharging me to upcharge idk... Ambiance was good. Quiet, clean and the plants all around are a great touch. Don't get me wrong, the coffee and food are great, especially the speciality drink. Just be ready to pay over $10 for a drink on the summer specials. Not worth it at all.

We have heard from a few people about this small but incredibly delicious bakery called Le Herisson…read morein Simi Valley and we were very interested in trying it. It's my opinion that it really is hard to find a local bakery offering sweet and savory pastries freshly made with a very personal touch, they are far and few these days. This place also offered daily specials and a variety of coffee drinks, small dining area to enjoy the treasures baked and brewed daily. So many wonderful pastries to choose from, so more visits will be in the future to explore the deliciousness baked daily. She is open from Thursday to Sunday and closed Monday through Wednesday. Very friendly staff ready to guide you through the many pastries baked fresh each day. This is an incredible bakery to have close to home, it does remind me of establishments you would visit in France or Italy or other European countries. If you like freshly baked pastries from a boutique local friendly bakery then Le Herisson is the place to go to. Bravissima, I just can't say enough other than let your taste buds tell you.

It's a special seasonal treat you won't want to miss. I also took a picture of the Matcha ice. I purchased the strawberry ganache pastry and also got a Matcha ice drink to go on ice. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. I also always appreciate a self-serve water station that's so pretty and maintained. Every aspect of Le Hérisson is so elevated, beautiful, and thoughtfully curated. My only little suggestion would be to consider putting the more delicate pastries, like the raspberry ganache I ordered, in a small box rather than a paper bag. I went inside and I am a coffee and chocolate lover so I was in awe when I came inside. And of course I had to get my chocolate treat since I didn't have any at home. The shop has this warm, cozy vibe to it. There's seating outside but also all the way in the back. There's an expresso bar in the back and a cute vintage looking set up where you can sit down and enjoy your coffee and treat. I got some chocolate barks (dark chocolate almond bark, milk chocolate almond bark, sugar free milk chocolate almond bark) and the sugar free peanut butter cup and the dark chocolate tiramisu truffle which the girl said is their most popular item. I also got the chocolate chip cookie and omg! Really enjoyed it! It wasn't hard or too soft. It was crispy enough and if you do like it on the softer side, just a little bit in the microwave and it'll come out just right. It tasted like it just came out from the oven. I didn't get coffee because it was too late in the day but I happen to be around the next day and stopped by to get a latte! Although they dont have their flavored lattes on the menu they do have different ones you just gotta ask. I got the iced hazelnut latte which was so good, not a lot of ice, and only $4.50 for a 16oz! I'm excited to know where it is and can't wait to come back! There's a lot of parking since it's in the big shopping center right next to Sprouts.
