I come here for breakfast/lunch sometimes when I'm working in the area. My favorite sandwich that I have tried is the redgate; which has grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, jack cheese, and basil mayo. That sandwich is my go to and very good. The bacon egg and cheese is pretty good. I have yet to try the thanksgiving sandwich; which is a hit at this deli. It gets very busy during the day around lunch time just like another other deli. I've had multiple occasions where my order has been wrong and I get home and it's too late to do anything; make sure to check your order before you leave; but overall I don't see any special about this deli. This place is also a little high priced. If you're in the area and want a breakfast/lunch sandwich stop in but if not you're not missing anything special. read more

I'm a deli enthusiast and these guys are solid! They don't fit into a specific category i.e., Jewish, Italian, etc. They are sort of a catch all. They offer a very wide variety of specialty sandwiches and if you go off the board they will happily make you whatever you like. They have a salad bar that always looks great (never went the salad route...who goes to a deli for salad?). Well run, even when crowded their ordering system works and they'll get your order to you quickly. Both indoor and outdoor (courtyard) seating is superior to anywhere else you'll find. This once great deli has gone downhill fast. The sandwiches that were once huge are now paper thin. I was there on a day when there was a long line of long time customers asking "what on earth is going on". I was informed that one of the owners has now taken a more active role and is changing everything that was once great about it. Had the thanksgiving sandwich - literally had two slices of turkey on it. The manager was great about it, really apologetic and very attentive. Ill give it one more try to see if things go back to how they were - its just really sad to lose a place that you've been going to for over 20 years. read more

This place sucks. I am a university student and was told to try firehouse deli and I am more than disappointed than a child on Christmas morning to find out mom and dad are getting a divorce. The sandwich was cold, over priced, extremely small, and the meat was cut thick. This sandwich (buffalo soldier) was not worth $9. The service was awful and they all were immature and rude. I do not recommend if you're starving and you have to choose between Wendy's and Firehouse Deli, I would 110% recommend you go to Wendy's. The only good thing were the fries but other than that it was disgusting and an awful experience. I will never go here again or recommend anyone to come to this horrible place. read more

I just got the sloppiest BLT on the planet. They could not even be bothered to slice through both layers of bread. The tomato placement was all on one side. There was so much bacon in it, it was falling apart before I even picked it up. There was way too much mayo squirted into the sandwich - most delis just butter the bread with the mayo, I wasn't expecting mouthfuls of mayo. They need to take more care when building their sandwiches. read more

Smallest sandwiches, highest prices. This place is always packed, and i really can't figure out why. they have a good location but every sandwich is really small, and over priced. The deli was alright. The fruit salad was lacking a variety of fruit, and really fruit in general. Also their wrap was a tad bland. I liked how their was a lot of seating inside and out. read more

Great selection of fresh food. Excellent, original sandwiches catering to meat-lovers, as well as vegetarians. During the summer you can eat inside or outside. Despite long lines, they have a good system in place to minimize waiting time. Personally, I think it's worth the wait. read more

Came here today and got a large pickle, a hotdog, and the parmesan truffle fries. The food was very good. The service was good, and the price was moderate. A hearty staple..........Nothing more to say. read more

Best salad bar in town. Fresh and delicious produce with awesome deviled eggs. Super friendly staff even when the lunch rush hits.

The place is dirty and the employees use their hands to make your food instead of wearing gloves. The Board of Health should shut this place down. It used to be very good, they must have sold it to another owner who doesn't care. read more

I love this deli. Everything I have ever had here has been delicious. They have a salad bar with an excellent selection of vegies, toppings, and dressings. Everything is fresh, the place is clean, the staff is very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this deli. Be aware though that at lunch it can be packed. read more

Wow... so disappointed. This place was packed and the sandwiches were all around $9 which led me to believe I was in for a treat. The menu looks AMAZING - I got a turkey sandwich with apple and Gruyere which sounds magical and my S.O. got the thanksgiving sandwich with a large sweet potato fry to share. The orders are not taken as one order that belongs together, all the items are given to the prep cooks as if they are individual orders so my SO was completely done eating his sandwich before I even got mine. Then when my name was called I got a sandwich and no fries. I told the person behind the counter that I also had an order of fries she just turned and walked away. Then I looked down and realized the name on the sandwich I was handed was not my name that had been called , so I gave them the sandwich back and they threw it on the back counter and proceeded to ignore me while I saw that my sandwich was sitting right next to it. I asked for them to hand me my sandwich and for them to check if the fries I saw sitting there were mine as well and they basically threw them at me with quite a bit of attitude. Then when I sat down to eat, the sandwich was a huge disappointment. It was very small with crappy bread, crappy cheese, and the apple was just laid down in a chunk in the middle of the sandwich and the slices were not spread out to get a nice crunch in every bite. S.O. said his sandwich wasn't that good either. Great sandwich ideas on the menu but poor execution with sub-par ingredient quality. I will give them props that the sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever had and the chipotle mayo they were served with was heavenly. But definitely not worth the nearly $30 we ended up paying for lunch and we will not be returning. read more
