Subs are comparable to Quizno's but I like this place better. Staff is nice and the place is usually filled with Georgia Tech students. I usually come here just because its next to Sublime Donuts. I think the BEST thing about this place is the soda machine!!! Who needs world of coke when Firehouse Subs has all the different coke products with peach, grape, strawberry, and other flavor shots?? They have all the coke classic varieties too, like vanilla coke, coke with lime, etc. I always have a lot of fun with this machine. read more

Firehouse Subs makes the best subs I've had at any chain. I especially love the hot Italian sub. The bread and meats always taste fresh, and the portions are ample. Service is also usually pretty quick, even when the place is packed. My only real beef with this restaurant is that parking there STINKS! read more

It's a busy Firehouse across 10th Street from Georgia Tech. The subs are consistently good and well made. There are also always customers in it which is good and bad. The bad because the parking lot is small when it's shared with 6 (?) other stores. Finding a spot during lunch on a weekday might be tough but doable. Once inside though there is ample seating, and they are pretty quick. read more

This place is "ok" . I went during the lunch hour on a weekday, and this place is a ZOO! It offers both tables, and a counter with bar stools to dine on their signature sandwhich, which is quite tastey I have to say. Since there are other restaurants in the strip, the parking sucks. Also, the line in the outside can be a bit long (my pet peeve when I'm starving). The firehouse motif was pretty fun, however. If I was 8 years old, this place would have gotten 5 stars. The worst service/customer service ever. Management should really stop by and see how their teams act towards customers. Cashier was extremely rude, music too loud, and no customer service attitude at all. Not even a "Thank You" or "Welcome." As far as chain sandwich places go, Firehouse is pretty much the best in Atlanta. It is consistently better than Quizno's, Subway, and Jimmy John's by, while still being relatively fast food. I've had a couple of the subs here, and I'd recommend the New York Steamer. I've had the meatball sub too, and that ones pretty great, but the NY steamer just has a very good mixture of flavor that is unmatched by other places of the same caliber. The staff here is also pretty nice, and as of recently they have a nifty new-age coke machine in the corner, which is an interesting sight at the least. The decor for the place isn't bad either. read more

This place is just okay. I went there when I had some time to kill before getting a tattoo and I hadn't eaten anything. The first thing that annoyed me was the menu posted on the wall gave no details about what came on each sub. I'm a vegetarian so the basis is easy, but I like to know what condiments do or don't come standard. There was no line, so I placed my order fairly quickly. However, it took forever for them to get my sandwich to me. It was probably close to 10 minutes before they finally handed it to me. The staff seemed more interested in arguing with each other than serving me. It's all well and good to interact with your co-workers, but not at the expense of a waiting customer. The sub was totally slathered in mayonnaise. I don't mind mayo, but it was ridiculous how much they'd put on it. I was wishing I'd known to ask for it without mayo. After I scraped off the excess mayo, the sub wasn't bad. Essentially, I didn't want to spit it out, but I also probably wouldn't go back unless I had no other choices. read more

Easily my favorite of the sandwich chains. The sandwiches here actually taste like real sandwiches and not something out of some machine. I always get the club and it has great soft bread and tons of flavor from the meat and sauce. They're more expensive than the two other big chains, but you can taste the quality. That, and the coke freestyle machine have me sold! Come here and you won't go to those other guys. read more

Subway and Jimmy's John, are amongst my favorite, but when I want something hot and packed full of cheese and meat, I head to Firehouse. Favorites are: Firehouse Hero and Engineer. If you don't want one of the meats included in the sub, just ask them to switch it out for another meat - Free! Awesomely located next to Tech, college students make up a majority of the customer base for this location. I've never had a problem here. It can get crowded and loud at night, and super busy during dinner hours. I recommend eating here and enjoying your sub with one of their many sauces. 2pts for the friendly greeting you get when you come in. Makes you feel like you made the right choice to stop by. Tip: Show up on your birthday with Driver's license and get a free medium sub. read more

I've been wanting to try Fire House for awhile and finally did. Their commercials always manage to make me hungry, and I have grown weary of Subway. The sandwich was pretty damn good. The only draw back was the size-to-price ratio. The sandwich is about 8 inches long and costs about $8-$9. I guess its a matter of preference... pay $5 and get a mediocre 12" sub from Subway or pay $8 and get an awesome $8 sub from Firehouse. This Fire House is right off campus, so plan your lunch trip accordingly. This place can get pretty packed when school is in. read more

Firehouse is my favorite place to get a "fast food" sandwich - not a big fan of Subway or Jimmy John's. Firehouse's subs are tastier, the meats are better and they have an amazing wall of hot sauces to choose from (Georgia peach one is my fav!) Please do not go to this Firehouse Subs! The staff is unprofessional and they don't care about their customers at all. The staff is rude as well. I ordered a sub with no onions and guess what the staff does? Add onions to my sub sandwich. I became very ill as I am allergic to onions. I wrote and email about my concern and I received no response. I had to call the store and speak to the manager who was very unapologetic towards me falling ill due to ingesting onions that the staff placed on my sandwich. Stay away from this Firehouse!!!!!!!!! This is a really good place to get a quick sub if you're near Georgia Tech. The place is clean and the employees are friendly. The subs are super tasty and they make them real fast. I am partial to the Firehouse Hero. Try it with their special sauce and you will understand what I am saying. It's super crowded during lunch hour thanks to all the Tech students and staff. But even then they do a commendable job of getting the sub to you pretty quickly. read more

In these trying times, this restuarant still builds them right and fast. They aren't taking sit down orders, but they are friendly and willing add a extra pickle if there's two of you sharing the sandwich. The bathroom are always clean. Thank God they have both sexes working. More bathrooms will only clean their bathrooms. read more

Great subs, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Their hours are good, wait time is short, and food is high quality. Quick tip - sometimes the bread is a bit soggy, but a couple minutes in a toaster when you get home fixes that right up. I go here often and plan to continue doing so. read more

I never write bad reviews, but this location is horrible. I had a pickup order from this location that should've already been ready when I arrived. The cashier told me it was going to be a few minutes. After a few minutes went by, one of the cooks asked me if I was at the right location because he didn't see the order, and I said yes. It went back to another girl at the cashier and told her to put in my pickup that was on the screen. IT WAS NEVER RINGED IN. I waited over 20 minutes for a sandwich that they literally make right in front of you. The cook(s) were very polite and apologetic about it, but come on! This is the closest Firehouse Subs to my apartment and I never have a bad experience at the restaurant itself. Parking can be a bit of a hassle because the restaurant is in a lot with several other businesses. The lunch rush always draws a crowd but the staff tries to get everyone in and out as quick as possible. I usually get the large size hook and ladder sandwich fully involved (with everything on it) or the hook and ladder salad. The sandwich is huge! It bearly fits in the bag! The salad is definitely ham packed with ham and turkey as well as all the different toppings you could want (i.e. black olives, banana peppers, cheese, onions). I usually ask for extra extra extra dressing because the containers of salad dressing are super tiny. The salad can easily be eaten by two people. Will definitely be back to this location again and again :) read more

I drive across town often to fulfill my craving for a Firehouse Sub at this location. It's located next door to Sublime Donuts outside the Georgia Tech Campus. I'm addicted to the Meatball sub, but I sometimes get the Hook and Ladder Sub. This location is always busy with college students and other patrons that makes eating in here disappointing. With all of the constant traffic they seem to have a difficult time keeping the dining room clean, i usually just get my subs to go to avoid having to clean my own table. The food prep area behind the counter is always clean and they always have enough staff to get your sub out quickly. I highly recommend the Meatball sub, it doesn't have that food service quality meatball that you might be accustomed to from Subway. They are oversized and full of flavor. Glad we have a location within driving distance. read more

I finally tried Firehouse and had the Engineer combo. It was pretty okay. It's way better than Subway or Blimpie or any of those types of chains, but it doesn't hold up next to my dear, sweet Jimmy John's. The bread was very normal, regular sub shop bread, and I had to wait a while (about 10 minutes) for the sub (as far as I can tell they make all their subs hot), whereas Jimmy John's always hands me a fab sandwich in 30 seconds flat. The prices were very good considering all the food that I got. I'd say #2 sub in Atlanta from my experience, but I'm sure there are some I haven't yet tried. read more

The sandwich was good. But, the girl who was handling boxes and grabbing what I think was a step ladder and all sorts of other things and then returned to making sandwiches without changing the gloves she'd had on the whole time far outweighs the sandwich taste. (not made by her) Unfortunately, I think a lot of food-workers today have it backwards and think the requirement that they wear gloves while making food is intended to protect their hands from getting food on them. Yes, it is true. I am a fan of Firehouse Subs. The bread is steamed to perfection and the turkey is fresh and tasty. I don't go away with the 'ugh' feeling I get when I eat at certain other sub shops. Maybe it's the quality? But I never feel heavy or like a bomb just hit my stomach. I've stopped eating at Jimmy John's because of his love for shooting animals and Subway just doesn't taste that good, to me. The Firehouse Subs Safety Foundation serves to help fund better equipment and other resources to local fire departments, EMS and law enforcement. What's better than being able to eat while helping your community? It really is feel good food. read more

They even have a wide variety of hot sauces on the counter.
