I liked it way better this time than I did when I was here a few years ago. So friendly. I had come back here because I had a bad experience at a Firehouse Subs and so this lunch was on them. They have over 1200 locations so there's plenty of places to choose from. A portion of the proceeds at Firehouse goes to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, to be used to provide lifesaving equipment to first responders. Since the Foundation started, it has granted over $65 million to provide equipment, training, and support to hometown heroes. I ordered an Italian to take home (no mayo - but loaded with deli mustard, tomato, onion genoa salami, pepperoni, Virginia honey ham, provolone, Italian dressing and seasonings). And the people were very nice in the shop were very nice! Oh yes, I had a pickle to take home as well! Gotta love those pickles! I was happy to see that they are doing so well! They are right off of 95 at Gateway so it's an easy off and easy on! I'll be back. And make sure you get your rewards! They do have specials so look for those as well!

Firehouse subs is always the best when it comes to sandwiches. I had the beef & cheddar brisketand a potato soup and the first sandwich was so good that I went and ordered another one . This place never ceases to amaze me how simple and inexpensive quality tasty food can be

I came here for lunch and even though they were busy I still got my sub fairly fast! I got the Brisket sub and it was delicious! Definitely would recommend this place for a good quality sub.

Worst service ever long wait and grumpy employees. The subs were supposed to be but were cold.

This was a big disappointment , service was horrible, and the food was barely edible. Will never return.

This was a lovely lunch experience. Even though Linda, owner, was on her own serving as barista,…read morechef, and waiter, as her partner was out on a delivery, we still had a chance to chat. We learned about the restaurant being named for her mom (No, it doesn't mean gold). The restaurant faces the south side of the street in a strip next to the smoke shop. Parking is in a lot a couple doors west. Look for the umbrella table outside. The street numbers jump from 500 to 426 in one storefront. Inside, it's charmingly decorated. The dates on the walls refer to different relatives birth years. We started with drinks. I got an iced decaf coffee. I had my choice of 3 milks. He had an iced chai latte. He said it didn't need any added sugar. Both were very good. For food, I ordered their burger. It was cooked to temp as requested. The patty topped with lettuce, tomato and cheese. It was good. Alongside came crispy chips and a small bowl of their special (addictive) Le Dor sauce -- a mix of cheese and burger jus. My husband had their chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. The salad had nice chunks of chicken along with raisins, avocado, spicy mayo (just a touch of a kick), and lettuce. There were grapes and an orange, too, on the plate. He said it was wonderful. The menu is small, but prepared to look good as well as taste delicious. They offer special pasta nights. Call for info and reservations for these events. We were too full, but the almond croissants and other pastries looked appealing. Ask what they have when you drop by. We hope we can return soon.

The chicken sandwich didn't disappoint. It is flavorful and very well presented. The green juice is refreshing and freshly done. My son had a strawberry smoothie and he said it was amazing. They keep topping his glass! Would highly recommend you give them a try.

They were so friendly, welcoming and down to earth that made the whole experience of walking around downtown so much more enjoyable. I ended up ordering the Italian - they made it perfectly! I hate when I order sandwiches and they're too dry. This is a legit sandwich spot that uses fresh ingredients. My bf got the tuna and he ate the whole thing, where he usually never finishes his food. We'll be coming back because these sammys blow Subway and Jersey Mike's outta the water!

An Italian sandwich is only as good as the bread, and unfortunately neither of us could enjoy ours. My husband ordered the same sandwich and felt exactly the same way. I expected fresh ingredients and much better quality. It honestly tasted like the bread had been sitting around for days. After a few bites, we gave up because it just wasn't enjoyable. I decided to try a new local spot instead of my usual go-to, and I definitely regret it. Deluca's Italian Kitchen has consistently delivered fresh, delicious sandwiches and has never disappointed me. Not sure why I decided to switch things up this time. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from this restaurant again.
