I made it to the food court a little before 10AM on a random Monday and decided to give the spot a shot. I ordered a sausage burrito with salsa verde and an unsweetened iced tea (free refill). The burrito was PIPING HOT and packed. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was considering that it's mall food. Way better than Pepe's and most other spots in the general area for breakfast burritos. The salsa verde had a nice kick and great flavor. The iced tea was a perfect way to wash down the food. Service was great. The woman that helped me out was patient and very friendly. I will definitely consider eating here again if I stumble into the mall in the AM when I'm craving a breakfast burrito.

It was far above what I've seen at other food joints. I mean--at this point everybody uses a credit card for tap to pay. Having to pay extra for what is an everyday occurrence seems punitive. I will say that once I got to my burrito I was pleasantly satisfied. It had some good heft to it and tasted super delicious. I opted for the sausage variety with some green peppers, onions, and spinach added with the already customary eggs and tots. Every bite was a delight, especially with that green salsa. The service was good. I felt like everyone at the counter was efficient and had my order to me in a relatively reasonable amount of time. They also refilled my soda pretty quickly. As for the ambiance, it's a food court in a mall so I didn't expect much. It was neither spectacular or bad. It just was a typical food court dining area. So, yeah, I might get this burrito again but probably not when they first open because of the delay in their process and I'll maybe remember to bring cash next time. The burrito is good and all. There are just a lot of hurdles to get to it.

Never had their lunch sandwiches b4. i had to make note of my order I placed in the restaurant on a Thursday 07.30.26 Came during lunch. An associate young girl help took my order. I ordered the Turkey Sandwich combo that included sidewinder fries, fresh baked apple & a fountain drink. After placing my order. The associate asked if I'd like "ranch" with my sandwich, assuming it's included since she asked and didn't say any other indication that it'll be an extra charge for the ranch. After I responded "Sure" I also asked for jalapeños. I ordered the half dozen bagel with a container of the strawberry cream cheese. When I got home. i had the Turkey sandwich shared among the other half with my daughter. After we were finished with lunch. My daughter asked for the Fresh baked apples. Realize my meal didn't come with the fresh baked apples that's suppose to be included w the combo. I was ok with that. TIL i went and look over my receipt. I saw I was charge for the Ranch and Jalapeños. I felt it was misleading that when the associate asked if I wanted Ranch w my sandwich it was included since she didn't inform mee of the $ .50 charge for the sauce along I saw on my receipt, I also got charged for the jalapeños. Now I wasn't fond that I wasn't informed ahead of the extra charges. I called about an hour later to Avalon. Ask them to speak to the manager. I forgot her name but informed her of the extra charges for the ranch and jalapeños. She mentioned that they now charge for the condiments and next time I return, let the associate know that my fresh baked apple was missing from my last order and they'll give mee it. I know it's only $ 1.00 but if i knew I had to pay extra and was informed ahead of time.I wouldn't have gotten it, this is something in a restaurant industry especially, customers should be informed of the extra charges. They managed to give out good recommendations, answer any questions about the offerings, and still hold good conversation. That's rare at any food joint you go to. Not only that, they held down the fort when it came to refills, getting my order out quickly, and dropping the bill off when it came time. The personal touch here is impeccable. Lastly, the ambience is great here. The space is kind of limited, but they had plenty of booths and tables, 2-tops and 4-tops, and counter space. Everything was decorated brightly without seeming gaudy, and it gave off a welcoming feeling that is traditional with all local diners. I wouldn't mind eating in a place like this regularly. I drive a small car and literally didn't fit in the space on the lines on both sides. Came in and waited for our turn at the counter. Ordered and paid for our food. My girlfriend ordered a bacon and avocado cheeseburger special, I ordered French toast combo. Paid by credit card and was handed cups for our drinks. I wasn't given a receipt or a number for the table. Filled our drinks and sat down. My food came out about 10 minutes later. Then the cashier came back to the table with an omelet for my girlfriend. We told her that she ordered a bacon and avocado cheeseburger. So the server took the omelet back. A couple of minutes later she brought over a hamburger and fries. My girlfriend asked for ketchup and we were directed to the area next to the drink dispenser. I got up and went to get my girlfriend some ketchup and when I was returning to the table my girlfriend was approaching the counter. It turned out that the burger didn't have bacon. She let the cashier/server know. The cashier returned a minute or two later with the correct burger and took the other one away. It's worth noting that the restaurant was about 1/4 full. Credit to the cashier/server, she was apparently the only person working the front of the house. Taking orders, delivering food to the diners, and cleaning up. Overall a disappointing experience. We probably won't return. Prices were reasonable, the food was fine, but the mistakes on my girlfriend's order were off putting.
