Found it! Can't believe there is an authentic real Philly cheesesteak AND hoagies place in SoCal. Located in a typically sized strip mall, surrounded by other small eateries is this gem :) My eyes teared up just a bit because I thought I was home the moment I walked through the door. That smell, just like Wawa used to make it. The customer service is so friendly. Hank's soda! If you are sick of the cheesesteak then have the hoagie, and get it without the bacon, you don't need that in your life. (Healthier) Philly style it with everything (condiments I mean) support your local small business and feed a far away friend :) Found another home away from home

I have been coming to Philly's Best for years and the food and service have always been excellent. I usually pick up a sandwich to take back home but I was out running errands and had to pickup something from CVS next door so I decided to dine in this time. The restaurant is very clean and the air conditioning feels great on a hot day. There are a few TVs with sports on as well. I like that they have an ordering kiosk which you can use to quickly place an order if there is a line to order at the register. Their staff is very friendly and greeted me upon arrival and thanked me when I left. I am a creature of habit and always order a pepper steak with cheese and onions. The bread is always super fresh and has a great taste. The sweetness of the peppers pairs well with the delicious meat and gooey cheese. The sandwiches are a pretty good size also. Whenever I get it to go, it is wrapped in foil and is still very hot when I get back home.

Steven was so nice -- he was very personable and seemed to keep calm during a busy rush of customers. I recently came here and ordered a pepper cheesesteak and was so excited to try it. I added grilled onions and cheez wiz. Unfortunately there were no peppers on my pepper cheesesteak, but it was still delicious. I did have to pay an extra $1 for the pepper cheesesteak, but hopefully the next time I visit it'll be just as good with all the ingredients! The place is small and intimate with a few tables to sit at and eat, but people were happily eating there and enjoying their meals! I'd go back for sure.

Great service and sandwiches! Today as Huge Hat fan I decided to try the Pastrami sandwich and they made it per my request with extra mustard and pickles. I will say this; The Hats sandwiches are much bigger B U T!!!! The Pastrami here was succulent, and not nearly as fatty as The Hats, so you must decide do you want quantity or quality? I will most certainly be back and ask for extra meat which I am sure they would offer. Also, the roll they use is heavenly as well! So if you like Pastrami try this and you tell me if I am wrong. Thanks kids!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]At first glance was a welcoming clean ambiance both inside and outside, the gentleman who took my order greeted me with a warm "Hello & Smile."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As a newcomer, I was somewhat rushed and opted for what I believed to be the Philly Best cheesesteak. The sandwich was generously loaded with sweet peppers, excluding the mushrooms, and served on an Amoroso soft roll. It was delectable! Additionally, I ordered a South Philly Thinly sliced steak salad cooked to order with melted white American cheese, on a bed of lettuce, tomatoes, and onion straws. It was exceptionally flavorful. I noticed the Hanks Root Beer sodas and decided to add a few to my order, as they complemented our lunch perfectly. My only regret was not taking pictures to share. However we have now added this establishment to our list of local favorites. read more

So sad, we have been going since the first week they opened. We went last night. Staff was friendly, but the food was horrible advertisement for new great cheese and all they do is put a blob up in your sandwich and you get this big old blob of cheese when you eat it nowhere near the same thing the meat was dry and overcooked no flavor to the meat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They did some remodeling look good but we definitely won't be back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We missed the old owners. read more

I ordered a phillys best cheese steak and paid for them to add Cheese Wiz and they couldnt even add it, ruined my mean completely. Why should i pay nearly 20 bucks for a sandwhich that is missing things. Philly cheesesteak with mushroom and onions and bag of fries. Great cheesesteak. Loaded with meat and had just the right amount of cheese and married with grilled and raw onions and mustard. The fries look like potato cut and not frozen. Hot and tasty. The gal taking the order was efficient and asked all the right questions no matter how tired I was and made a great recommendation on getting both grilled and raw onions. The interior is a bit small but it looks like a take out place and I'll be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

You then get the entree plus a 4 oz glass of house wine, salad or a soup, garlic bread, and a scoop of ice cream at the end of the meal. I can never finish my entree by the time I've eaten everything else. Complete dinner aside, everything here is priced reasonably. I've gone to dinner with a group of 4 before and our bill is less than $100. Literally everything I've ordered here has been delicious but my favorite is the baked gnocchi. The portion was also generous enough to share. I ordered the regular spice level, which had a nice kick. I was pleasantly surprised to find flat noodles mixed in with the rice cakes, making it feel more like a full entree than just a side of tteokbokki. I've been going to this and the Tustin Philly's for close to a decade. It is hands down the best place for a cheese steak. In fact, it is the only decent cheese steak place I know of. The Amorosa rolls are unequaled in sandwich shops around here. The same people have been working up front for years, so I don't think they're under new ownership and I've not seen the portion sizes change. read more
