Cajun Chicken, no jalepeno add tomato

Spicy Cajun Chicken... get this sandwich! Hot and fresh, it's amazing! I have only had Firehouse Subs 1 time in my past and pretty sure that was over 10yrs ago. Having this sandwich today made me say, "Where have I been? Why haven't I been eating this?" Well, I will going forward. There was a bit too much sauce on the sandwich, so next time I'll ask for light sauce. Kettle chips were a great side, but the iced tea was waaayyy too sweet. Will definitely have this sandwich again.

Firehouse Steak & Cheese, Potato Soup, & Diet Coke

So last weekend I didn't leave the house for a 36 hour stretch and about 24 hours in I decided to use DoorDash for the first time ever and settled on Firehouse Subs because it is extremely close to me and had the shortest delivery time. I ordered the Steak & Cheese Sub, a cup of Loaded Potato Soup, and a large Diet Coke. My order arrived promptly (about 30 minutes) and the food was satisfactory. Not amazing but satisfactory. All of my modifications to the sandwich were accommodated. I question the quality of the meat but perhaps its best I did not see it live in person. The Diet Coke had good carbonation! The pickle was crisp and had a good snap to it! The food was a little salty but I think that's to be expected somewhere like this, right?

Recently spent some time in New York and was happy with the bagels - non chewy, not tuff, soft, and consistent throughout. I went with the New York New York option, ample meat was between my bagel halves. Very filling and great taste. I opted for the potato salad as my side, it is mustard based. Potato salad is always Russian Roulette for someone that does not like crunchy onions in their food -- this one passed the test. The flavor was there but no big chunks of raw onion were to be crunched while enjoying my meal. (Please never change that) Great friendly service. Refills on fountain sodas and tea available. Would definitely recommend.

This place is more of a breakfast/sandwich spot first, before it is a bagel shop so don't come here expecting a TON of bagel varieties. Nevertheless, it was still good for breakfast. I got a salt bagel for my BEC, and my husband got cinnamon raisin for his sausage, egg, and cheese. I also ordered a buttered plain bagel for my son. We didn't wait too long, and they gave my son a sticker that he played with while we waited. The bagels were nice and chewy, and I loved that they didn't skimp out on any of the ingredients. The buttered bagel though was VERY buttery, so be ready to wipe your hands a lot while eating it. It was still very good!

For dinner I had the whiskey salmon with green beans and roasted Brussels sprouts. The salmon was the highlight: a substantial fillet with a great grilled exterior and a glossy whiskey glaze that gave it a sweet, savory richness while still allowing the salmon itself to come through. The Brussels sprouts were an especially good pairing with the glaze, and the green beans kept the plate balanced. What impressed me most was that this didn't feel like the obligatory salmon option on a meat-focused restaurant's menu. It felt like a dish worth ordering in its own right. We were heading to a movie afterward, so I also appreciated that the meal was satisfying without leaving me feeling weighed down. Between the quality of the food and the unusual farm-to-market concept, Pierce Creek feels like a genuinely distinctive local spot rather than another interchangeable restaurant. I'm looking forward to coming back -- especially to try some of the butcher-counter selections, burgers and other specialties.

There was NOTHING gourmet about this. The Italian Beef wrap was the worst I've ever had. It was dry and there was no flavor. I could barely finish it. We also had the turkey wraps. Again, very dry and not a lot of flavor. The finest Italian beef sandwich in St Louis by far is Grassi's in Frontenac. A good wrap should have a nice moist chewy wrap. The turkey lettuce tomato etc should be bursting with flavor and moistness. This had neither. I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant at all based on two things that should be so simple.

The hot chicken sandwich was not only incredibly thick and juicy, but the crust was crispy without being overwhelming or too much breading. I loved the spicy sauce that was used to make it hot chicken and somehow it didn't make the sandwich soggy at all. Moving onto the handcut, double fried fries. They were crispy and such a delight to see on a food truck, as far too often you get sad, pre-frozen fries.
