As a Cheyenne resident everybody knows about the bread basket, so for those around here is your reminder; and for those passing through & like white chili, cabbage burgers, breakfast burritos, white chili and like being SMACKED in my face with sweet smell of sugar, sweets & baked pastries when you walk in - then maybe it's time you add this stop as your next afternoon lunch break or on your families early morning out (you can call ahead & have country gravy or bacon/egg burritos made for pick up!!!!), or as your next friends birthday or bbq sweet treat. Everything is is made fresh & when they are out, they are out. So if it's a special stop or you're thinking ahead - I would call an order in the night before! Seriously how many bakeries do you know that you can call at 10:00 am and ask them for a German chocolate cake slice for your 74 year old neighbor, and they are out so they make you a personal cupcake for $7 and it's ready by 1??? JUST THE BREADBASKET! They have early hours, so plan ahead! Items I can promise will be delicious: white chili (obviously), country gravy burritos, sloppy joes, any type of granola, strudels, and German chocolate cupcakes... but that is just from my experience. I gave her my phone number and then I had my the account number ready and she asked me what my account name was, which was Matthew B on the black hills account. She said that's not the name on that phone number. So I asked her is it Robert Matthew Baker? She said no that's not the name. I said is it Robert Baker? She said yeah but that's the name that's not the name you gave me. Unbelievable! I'm mildly frustrated. So I'm trying to show her my phone. To bring her back to earth. That's when I held up my phone so she could read that my account name on Black Hills said Matthew B. It would've been a really really easy thing for her to put two and two together, but if you remember when it started, she asked if my name was in the system. I started to get the feeling she just didn't wanna do the work. I tried to reason with her. And she got belligerent and ugly instead of being reasonable she got uglier to the point where I asked for a manager. She then insulted me and insulted my mother and said that she should have raised me better. That's when I told her she was a piece of crap, and my mom would've smacked her upside the head. The manager whose name was Felicia was on her way over where we were at. And the rude large woman from the Western Union desk intercepted her by the floral department and I don't know what she said but I'm assuming it wasn't truthful. Because when Felicia came to me, she was already "pre-loaded" and asked me to leave the store. I immediately which I did. As I was leaving, they were calling the Non Emergency police line and I said well I bet you get my name right for them. It could've been handled so much better it was just a simple misunderstanding that easily delegated by the Director Felicia . I've been asked what my account number is before. I've been asked with the phone I've been asked what my name is. And Western Union has my name is Robert Baker. Black Hills has my name is Matthew B. But all of that's on the screen in front of her. Through conversation and us both speaking in English you would've thought that we could've come to some kind of an easy solution that I was inviting when she was reading the screen in front of her. And when I tried to show her my phone with the information I had because she didn't want the account number which I also had ready . She rudely told me to get that phone out of her face, which wasn't her face. I just showed her the screen from the other side of the counter like anyone would. Felicia and the large lady at the Western Union desk and Albertsons . We're both wrong. I believe I was discriminated against and I will be getting that video and filing a discrimination lawsuit against Albertsons, Black Hills, and Western Union as I was a customer of both and they were a representative of all.

Albertson's is one of the largest grocery chains in the USA and owns several brands found in…read morevarious regions of the country to include itself as the flagship, SAFEWAY, ACME and others. The flagship brand tends to be found in the Midwest and Mountain West and all of the brands carry the same private level canned and frozen products, cheeses, butter, paper goods, bacon, hot dogs and so on. While grocery chains constantly complain that their margins are minuscule, and Albertson's is one of those chains that spews that bilge, the company is notorious for being grossly overpriced on both national brands and its private label offerings. During my military career and afterwards, when I lived in areas where the various regional Albertson's brands had stores, I ALWAYS sought out their competitors because I refused to pay their grossly inflated prices. What makes matters worse is that in the ACME stores we have nearby in NJ, the stores are often devoid of many of the essentials one would need for weekly shopping and those items that are on the shelves are, in many cases, significantly more expensive than competing brands like WEIS Markets and Shoprite. I'll be leaving NJ permanently in mid-2026 and wherever I end up, I pray that I won't be forced by lack of competition to have to shop in any Albertson's or its regional brands like SAFEWAY.

In the old self-checkout system, there was constant confusion over whether to form a single line or…read moremultiple lines. Albertsons has since resolved this with their new self-checkout system. It is excellent. It features more self-checkout stations and a clear single-line system with arrows indicating where to line up. However, the arrows are now obscured by tables, leading to renewed confusion. Today, people were lining up across the hall, similar to the old system, causing (1) confusion, since this contradicts the new system, (2) traffic blockage, and/or (3) standing so far back that they can't see when a self-checkout becomes available. Can we please maintain some order? Customers don't appreciate this kind of confusion. Or could the tables be moved so the arrows are visible again?
