The service i received here was deplorable. I couldn't believe what was happening. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon to 2 employees who didn't greet me or acknoledge i was there because they were too busy watching whatever football game was on the TV. It's claimed to be award winning but I'm not so sure. Although the food was good & it's priced well, it didn't wow me. Putting your order in & picking up can be confusing at busy times. I wouldn't discourage going there though. Parking can be a challenge sometimes. read more

Go there all the time and my favorite spot for subs or anything. Although it is mildly expensive, it is really good and I can't find one thing wrong with the place. I get the Italian all the time and it's better than all the others I have had. They have a lot of young workers in there so I can imagine a lot of people having problems. Very disappointed with my first (and last) visit. Of the 7 employees on staff, only two were actually working, instead of just standing around. The manager was off in the corner on a seemingly long lunch. By the time my supposedly "hot" sandwich finally reached me, it was quite cold. I asked for light mayo and, instead, it was slathered with it and oozing out the sides. I was watching Sportscenter on one of their TVs. One of their bored employees decided to change the TV to a replay of the Minnesota-Minnesota State basketball game, even after he saw me watching ESPN. I was shocked to have it delivered table side, and was blown away by the sub. Wow. It was so good I will be back! Buries the yellow train wreck, and runs circles around any freaky quick food. I too had heard the hype about this place. Me and two coworkers decided to try it out. Very disappointing!!!! Exactly like the other reviews said: soggy subs, they messed all of our sub orders up and then when we talked to the training manager he was rude and not helpful. Yes when the store training manager is rude you know you have problems. I even said "you guys just opened right?" Well definitely last time i will be eating there. With tons of great places to eat around this location, I will opt to eat somewhere like Grinders, even Subway over this place! Where at least the food is consistent! read more

Just OK. Kinda pricey. Had to wait too long for only 2 subs. There had to be at least 10 employees working behind the counter, so i imagined when i walked in that it wouldn't take too long. anyway if the subs tasted better i wouldn't mind waiting, but they were average at best. This was my first time eating at this restaurant chain. I was disappointed in the lack of selection the sandwiches here are all very similar. Nevertheless! I had the Engineer Sub that was delicious! The food service at this particular location was quick. I was not greeted as I came in and the place was nearly empty. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was water pouring from a tile in the ceiling into a bucket in the kitchen. And as I looked around noticed that this location is extremely dirty. Ok so I have now give this place two chances and overall not impressed at all. The three stars are mostly because I love Firehouse subs food . . . when done right. The service here is sub par. If you have a question hope the owner or the manager are free because the staff can not answer any of them. Also if there are 8 people working only 5 are actually making sandwiches and they are moving at a slow leisurely pace. My major gripe though is that when I ordered a hot sub, by the time they got it to me it was barely warm and the bread soggy. I love Firehouse so to see such a half-hearted attempt at the concept really disappoints me. I hope they get better in the future because with all the other sub shops around people will lose interest. read more

Hands down, the best subs in the city! Bread will make or break a sandwich. Love the bread! All the meat and veggies taste fresh. I could eat here almost every day!!!! I have tried a lot of sub shops and so far, Firehouse takes the cake and they finally have a rewards program. PERFECT!!! read more

I've heard much hype about Firehouse Subs. Gahanna really needed another sub shop like it needs another pizza shop but I figured I'd still give them a try. Underwhelmed is probably the best word I could use. We ordered 3 subs; My Daughter got the Steak and Cheese (meat and cheese only), My wife got the New York Steamer, and I ordered the Meatball. First off.. the amount of questions the girl behind the counter had to ask is off putting. I know places like their options but WOW... it's really frustrating. The layout of the place isn't great either. Where you walk in everyone is just hanging around waiting on their food. Everyone who walked through the door had no idea where the line actually ends. Over all not a bad experience so far, just kind of annoying. So, we give a little wait and then our food is ready. Didn't take too long so that's good. We got it to go so we headed home. Now starts the fun... First.. My daughter's sub was not Meat and Cheese only like we ordered, it had the onion and peppers on it, 2nd my Wife's sub didn't have any veggies on it. The menu reads that their subs come 'Fully Involved' and then lists what that entails.. Lettuce, Tomato.. etc.. hers had none. IF the 'Fully Involved' is just an option I can't believe the girl didn't ask that.. she asked EVERYTHING else... so many questions... We all ended up swapping around sandwiches in order to salvage the dinner as best we could. With all the other options in the area (Penn Station I'm looking at you!!) we won't be going back to Firehouse. Just not worth the money.. at all. read more

It was OK. It was our first and only time eating here. My husband and I ordered a medium meal each. I got the steak sub and he ordered the club. It totaled $20.00. Money wasted. The subs were small. The topping were non existing. My husband said the ham tasted odd and ruined the flavor of the rest of the sandwich. My sandwich was dry and flat. The only good thing was the peppers and onions were fresh and still a bit crisp which I like. Over all.... I will never eat here again. It's not worth the price. read more

Some of my issue here is not the location's fault, and that is why they get 2 stars. First, the parking lot is near impossible to get in and out of. They need to redesign it big time. Second, I ordered from the app, in order to receive points. There is nowhere on the app to add a coupon code of any kind, and when I submitted it, it said that payment would be processed before I got there. I figured I'd just ask them to cancel it so they could take my coupon. Upon arrival, I told them my name, with coupon in hand and before I could even mention it to the cashier, the receipt popped out of the machine. I looked at him and said I have a coupon and he looked dumbfounded, stating "I just cashed it out." I asked if he could please cancel the transaction, and he said "No, we can't do that" (which I know is not true). I took a moment- counted to 5 with my eyes closed, and said "ok thank you". I don't know why I was so upset over a coupon, but it just seemed like something that should have been easy to fix. read more

I've been to Firehouse several times and am always happy. I've tried a few of their subs - the meatball is my favorite. Love that they always get a perfect toast on the bread. The drive thru window at Firehouse is really handy for picking up dinner on the go. However, my favorite part has to be the firefighter hats for the kids - always a win win. read more

I am not sure what these other reviewers are talking about, but I absolutely loved all three of my experiences at this Firehouse Sub. My first experience with Firehouse Subs was in Florida and I must say that this store blows the others away! Their friendliness and food quality is outstanding. When the store at Polaris opened up, we drove 1+ hours to get our fix. We enjoy the Gahanna store much more so we now drive to it. During a recent trip to the airport, my car would not start after stopping at Firehouse Sub. It was sleeting and I was over 1 hour from home. The manager himself came out in the cold and help me get my car running.!! How many other restaurant managers would do that???? I love everything about this store....the food, the cleanliness, the managers and staff. Always helpful and smiling!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

I was so excited about firehouse subs coming to Gahanna! My family had eaten at other locations before and been very happy with our meals. I absolutely love the Gahanna location. The food has been great every time we visit!!! My favorite was the meatball sub, until I recently tried the brisket and cheddar (extra cheddar)!!! It was fantastic! Never tried firehouse until a couple weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised. Place was packed but I got my order fairly quickly. Sub was great and they have one of those cool new coke dispensers too which my wife loved. Apparently they steam their subs so they aren't dry and hard like a lot of other subs. I definitely plan to stop by again in the near future. read more
