Cashier was nice, I assume he was the shift lead. Both line guys made my wife's sandwich wrong, and made mine wrong TWICE. I get that they're kids and only get paid a little bit more than minimum wage, but reading "no cheese no mayo" isn't exactly rocket science. While we were eating, some tool brought in his pet dog and the shift lead didn't say a word to him. It was very clearly a pet because there was no service vest and the dog was very ill-mannered, pulling and jumping and even putting its paws on the cashier counter. Today I waited 25 minutes for one sub to be made. This is not a good place for lunch if you are on your break: During that time I had the opportunity to look around and see how dirty everything was. Do not get the potato soup. It sits on a burner all-day, gets mushy and has a disgusting burnt but somehow still bland taste. You can also forget about getting any sort of resolution when you file a complaint with the corporate office. Corporate merely says they will pass the word along and the franchisee will contact you which never happens. Needless to say the refund I requested through corporate also has yet to come through. I used to love their soup so the first time it happened I thought it was a fluke, the second time it happened I was a bit peeved. Then, at the Neptune Beach location I tried it there and it was also horrible but in a different way- it was watery and undercooked with hard potatos. This triggered the complaint to corporate over two months ago for which I am still pending a resolution or even a reply from either franchisee. Thinking I should get BBB involved now ... read more

I stopped the other day for lunch. Thought I wanted a meatball sub but remember I was having spaghetti and meatballs for dinner so I changed up. I didn't see it on the menu so I asked if they had tuna and someone replied yes so I went with it. She rang me up, asked me what bread and size sub and pointed to the board that had the toppings on it to select from. When they rang me up, they have a round up option which I declined and she ignored. I requested again they remove it and charge the original amount which was already double what I could go across the street and get one from Bubsway for. I got home and took my first bite and did not like it. Had a weird taste that overpowered it. I'll definitely not order that again. In general I like Firehouse but between the bad sandwich and the unwanted round up to an already overpriced sub, I'll stay away for awhile. read more

I am beyond disappointed with this location. I placed an order to be ready at 6:31pm; I walked in the door approx. 6:23. No big deal that it wasn't ready; it wasn't time yet. Three team members were on the line making subs. As I waited, a man entered with his kids. One of the team members left, leaving 2 on the line. The other online order was placed in the pick up area and the ticket attached to the bag said the time for that order to be picked up was 6:45. The man who came in and ordered while I was waiting, received his order while I continued to wait. My order wasn't ready until 6:39pm. While I was greeted when I walked in, no one addressed me again. No one made conversation or asked if I was waiting for an order. If a customer is standing there waiting at the pick up area, it would be appropriate to ask the waiting person what they're here for. If someone is already present and waiting for their order, then clearly this order needs to be made. Almost 20min from order placement and 10min after its scheduled delivery time is unacceptable. Even more unaccepted is that an order scheduled for a 6:45pm was completed and ready at the Pick Up area by 6:30pm. Also, a man with 2 sons came in and placed their order at the register and was served their food before my sub was ready. I inquired three times about my order; if they had received it, and twice how much longer it would take to make. The team member with short blonde hair moved at the speed of molasses and didn't seem to put any haste in their step in making my order. I was given no apology for the delay. I gave myself enough grace time so that I would not be late to work. Instead, I was 7 minutes late and received an occurrence. Had my order been ready on time, I'd have not been late. Of note, this is the second time I have been late to work due to this location taking too long on pick up orders. I made no mention to Firehouse the first time it happened, but this time, I am livid. I will no longer be visiting this location. read more

I don't eat deli ham that often, but when I do it better be from Firehouse! I eat bacon. I eat pork belly. I eat proscuitto. But I've never been the biggest fan of deli ham. However, the Hook & Ladder sub from Firehouse is the only exception to that rule. The sweetness of the honey ham combined with the turkey and all the fully involved fixings makes my taste buds so happy that I could slide down the fireman's pole (if they had one). The staff is friendly & always courteous. The parking lot, however, can be a doozy. Between the Broudy's, the Wok'N'Roll and the Sierra Grille, there's a lot of cars fighting for a limited number of spots. So if you have flexibility in your lunch hour, I would recommend avoiding THE lunch hour. read more

Make it a combo? We answered the same questions 2 or 3 times. When sandwiches came - my wife's was wrong - supposed to be on white and was prepared on wheat. We let them know it was wrong - Mgr. on duty came to our table and said "it was made on wheat!" - making a statement like it was our mistake? We let him know it should have been white. Absolutely disgraceful I will never return to any firehouse subs ever again. I called to place an order at 1:30 pm today and went it to pay for it at 1:38. When I paid for it, I saw it sitting on the counter but did not ask if it was mine because I figured they would have told me that was mine. I waited until 2:05 and asked what was taking so long, and the guy pointed at the counter and said it was sitting right there. I opened it and it was cold and not fresh- it wasn't even worth eating after 30 minutes of sitting out. Fucking idiots can't even tell me when my sandwich is ready? The same thing happened earlier this week when I walked inside to pick up an order, no one greeted me and they were chatting it up with a lady who seemed to be friends with everybody there. That's fine and all but not if you ignore a customer for more than 5 minutes! I was really rude to them because I am completely insulted by those employees and I can't believe they still work there.
