I was craving for sandwich and wanted to see what was on the way home. My husband and I decided to try the tuna salad sandwich on wheat bread with no mustard and pickles and meatball sandwich. It was delicious and flavorful! I will definitely come back. We were having a hard time finding good meatball sandwich and tuna sandwich since our expectation was high from previous sandwich place that we used to love going, which is Pulciano's. Stay away from this fake Jersey Mikes wannabe place at all cost. I just ordered from here for the first time to try to see if they can live up the way the commercials look an i was sadly wrong. Honestly i feel sick after eating the sandwich. If it wasnt for me being hungry i would have def thrown this cheesesteak crap in the trash. The color of the meat was like some weird grey color an it wasn't even steak it was like sheets of ham or something like that. I used to visit this Firehouse location frequently when they were first open. The owner, Keith, was super friendly and had a great staff. Every single employee treated their customers with kindness. I visited today for the first time in a year or so and was shocked at the customer service. The girl working seemed annoyed to have to take my order. The counter tops were messy and the girl used the same gloves on the cash register to make my sandwich. My sandwich was cold and the sautéed onions tasted really gross. Not sure if they were old or if the flavor changed but they tasted sour and almost fermented. The pickles used to come wrapped in a baggie and not thrown in the box. I don't know if the management changed or the girl was having a bad day but it was not a good experience. I'm really disappointed with how things have changed. Yikes. Not sure what happened today with my order but I am not happy. I ordered a large veggie with jalapeños and olives added. First bite, I couldn't chew it. What was going on? They used basically dehydrated bell peppers that were likely sitting out all day which led to a rubbery/stringy texture that was inedible. So I took all of them off of it. Next problem. Olives, where are my olives? No olives. I'm just getting sadder at this point. Cheese? I can't even find it.... *checks to make sure cheese comes on it* wow... I've been back here a few more times since my first visit (and review) a few months ago. My YELP profile would show a lot more check-in's here if it weren't for Verizon's pathetic sub standard cell phone coverage in this spot. Terrible. You may as well forget trying to check-in here. This Firehouse Subs is great. They really make a fantastic sandwich and I have tried a few different sandwich's here. The quality is excellent. So much better than the other sandwich shops around town. You know the places. I don't like their counter situation here at Firehouse Subs though. I like to watch my sandwich being made and they've designed the counter too high. You can't see over it to watch what's going on with your sandwich. Most likely that was intentional because they don't want you to see. Well, I don't like that AT ALL. What are they trying to hide? I do like the rotating sign list of sandwich topping options they have next to the cash register when ordering. I believe they call it "Fully Involved" which is kind of clever I suppose. I like to see what all the various topping options can be so I can have them make my sandwich exactly the way I want. We walked in the place for the 1st time. It was clean and they offered hand sanitizers. It was confusing bottles cause they look like used bottles for rubbing alcohol liquid. Anyways, my husband ordered the sandwich that sounded good to him. He chose one with brisket meat. It did take a while to get it to us. But when he bit into it, he was in heaven. This was my first time at firehouse subs, and I think it will be my last. The pork and slaw special sandwich on a Hawaiian sweet roll looked intriguing on a TV commercial, so I thought i'd give it a try. It took 29 minutes from the time I ordered in the store to get my food. The 2 staff were chatting as they worked and did not seem focused. The "special" barely resembled the food styled photo with very little "pork" if that's what it really was. Disappointing 2 sandwiches for $28 . We came in for my dinner and as we are eating dinner the manager starts ordering the workers to bleach the bathrooms, clean out the teas (we had iced tea) and then the manager herself brought a shop vac out, loud as can be, we couldn't even enjoy ourselves. I went to this location on 9/5/21 about 12:30. I want to start out with: The staff has always been nice and accommodating. This is my second visit in a 2 week time frame. The first was carryout and they got my order wrong but it was too late and I didn't want to drive back. I order the same thing every time, a large Italian, no honey ham (replace with salami). First...who in their right mind puts a sweet ham on Italian sub? This is something corporate should address...that's just not right. I mean, American style ham on an Italian sub is an abomination to begin with but honey ham...that is just beyond horrifying. Regardless, they are always happy to switch it out but on my carry out order...there it was, honey ham. Second...this location has been pretty filthy the last 3-4 visits, certainly on the 5th and my carry out day. The drink machine is a hot mess of splatter, the floors are way dirtier than being open for 2 hours should warrant. The trash can was so full there were just bags sitting on top of it and covering the hole. The counter tops were clearly not wiped down. Kind of gross to eat in there. On 9/5 the order was correct but not very good. The roll seemed off, under toasted and a bit soggy because of it. They didn't put the honey ham on but they also did not replace it with the salami as asked. I used to love Firehouse subs but the last few visits have been disappointing---especially for the price, these are pretty expensive subs. read more

While the sandwiches are pretty good, the service is pretty hit and miss. Tonight on October 5, 2021, I went in and ordered a meatball sub. The girl standing behind the cashier said, "we stop serving meatballs at 8 o'clock." I said, "but it's not 8 o'clock yet." She curtly replied, "it's 7:55," and then walked away leaving me dumbfounded. I would understand if they were closing in the next five minutes, but they were going to be open for another hour and five minutes, com' on, man. This review is from my visit this pass Monday June 24th. It was our first time there. We go to the Jamba next door and have been wanting to try this place out. So we made it a point to go on Monday. I love the shopping center that it is in. It's super nice and there are plenty of parking spots. Walking in we were greeted with friendly hellos. Since we had not been there we were ask if we had any questions to let them know. I went with the Italian with potato soup, my daughter had the kids meatball and my boyfriend had the Hook & Ladder with mac and cheese. Everything was made after you ordered it. So it was really fresh. They have seating inside and out. Inside was super clean and the memorabilia the have on the walls was cool. I like the fact that you can donate your change or even drop a dollar inside the donation box. It gives back to our fire fighters. The have a varsity of things to drink which is a pus! The only thing I think needs attention was the place where they have the limes and lemons, they were not looking fresh. (But it can also be from customers leaving the trays open) The sandwiches are good, employees are nice, it's clean, different drink options, family friendly. Will def go back and recommend them to our family and friends. read more

Just left this location, place was filthy. Tables not washed,floor not swept or mopped , beverage area the sofa machine looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days, straw wrappers and cup lids all over the place. Upon arriving the three female employees were getting drinks, two of the girls did have their hair back in a pony tail however they had so much hair hanging on the sides that should have been tied or clipped. The trash cans over flowing . While dining they were not busy, maybe 3 customers. Upon us leaving we noticed an employee sitting on the counter in the back room next to the meat slicer , eating.
